The Boston Globe reported today the occurrence of a "reverse miracle," a phenomenon rarely seen.

Bishop McManus and all the padres of the Worcester diosese have actually lost the ability to read.

Though unusual, it's unlikely to affect how information is processed in the diosese or how business is conducted.

I would gladly pay a premium for a signed copy, as the last time I had you sign one of your books for me, I had to travel 18 hours to New York - a significantly higher cost than perhaps a $10 premium for an autographed copy.

I am greatly looking forward to reading this book. I am not Catholic, or religious at all. However, I am a great believer in Western Civilization, and if I were to convert to a religion, I think it would be Catholicism.

One of the things that I find most frustrating when I try to discuss the global jihad with people is that when I discuss it with Christians, there are all too many that take a suicidally weak/pacifistic stance toward it. As I say, I don’t know a lot about Christianity, but I’m sure that Jesus Christ could not have favored pacifism to the point of suicide. Christians really need to be on board with a reality-based approach to this.

Robert...Do you ever sleep? Do you drink high energy carrot juice or something? I wish I had 1/4 the energy you seem to have, but at my age, I would probably use it to get myself in trouble...

Sometimes I think I am "falling into alarmism, hatred and bigotry". Sometimes it is hard not to hate people who lie, murder and bully. Sometimes it is so frustrating when no-one will listen, or when they tell me I am a bigot or racist, that one can become alarmist and say, "If you don't wake up our children will become slaves!" Sometimes one feels the "bigotry" label might have some truth, when one simply doesn't feel any need to have Muslim "friends" or listen to their nonsense any more.

We are all supposed to have Muslim "friends" these days. It doesn't work for me. Before long, I start asking them why they are still Muslim even though they have grown up and left home. But I never like their answers. I guess that makes me a bigot. Or does it make the Muslims bigots? It's all very confusing.

Just put this on my "wish list" at Amazon. Thank you Robert! Maybe I'll get two and send one to Bishop McManus...

Man alive, does Robert ever sleep?

Being broke, I usually wait for books to go down in price. I make an exception for very few authors. Robert is one of them.

Does anyone know how immigration policies of the U.S. and other infidel countries impact refugee Christians in Muslim territory? I would hope they would go to the head of the line for refugees, but I know too that the facts can be different from rational expectations.

I frankly don't understand why Christians don't just leave. You can barely find a Jew in the Mideast by this time -- with, obviously, the exception of Israel. There used to be about a million Jews in Muslim countries according to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_and_Muslim_countries), and they've upped and left and are of course prospering in the countries where they've -- well, should I say "taken refuge" or simply "immigrated"? Some Christians have done the same but I'm amazed that there are large numbers of Christians still in Muslim countries, unless their movement is hampered by countries on the potential receiving end.

Don't know how the hell you manage to pull it off Robert, writing books while doing all the other amazing and hard work that you do but kudos to you.

I have many huge projects I need to work on and you're my inspiration to get them done.

Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). And there are more islamic texts that support this blasphemous view.

So Christians, and others, take note ...

muslims think that Jesus is returning as one of them (a muslim) and that our precious LORD and Savior will break the cross and destroy Christianity, and then become a slave of allah (SOA); and muslims also believe that Jesus will abolish the jizya, which will leave Jews and Christians with only two options: convert to islam or die!

This is total rubbish about OUR JESUS!!!! ...and most Christians, and others, don't even KNOW what muslims truly believe.

So if a muslim tells you that they love and respect our beloved LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, don't believe them--since they're talking about a Jesus of their own making that does not exist, and it's complete blasphemy.

Won't THEY be surprised when Jesus returns!

But WE shouldn't be surprised any more by what muslims actually believe, so get the book!

*Wonderful title*. This not only points out the vast difference between Christianity and Islam, but it refers both to the false idea that Islam is a "religion of peace", and also deals with the absurd idea that the New Testament is 'just as violent as the Qur'an', by pointing to the entirely symbolic quote from Jesus that he "brings not peace but a sword".

That's an awful lot of allusion to pack into a five-word title—but I shouldn't be surprised to see such a depth of scholarship and wry humor in the erudite Mr. Spencer's work.

I had actually heard that Robert had a new book forthcoming from one of the few Anti-Jihadists I know personally in my neck of the woods—I'm not sure where he had heard of it, since there was no hint here at Jihad Watch.

In any case, I'll be eager to read it.

And it sounds as though it covers rather different ground from his previous work, "Religion of Peace?: Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn't".

Given the witless moral equivalence we have seen even in the Jihad Watch comments in the last week or so in the wake of the situation at the Catholic conference in Massachusetts from which Robert Spencer was cravenly disinvited in the wake of Muslim pressure and the issue of "Catholic/Muslim dialog", this book seems most timely.
