Saudi religious police arrest Ethiopian workers for practicing Christianity

But the Saudis are extremists and hardliners, right? Well, then, so was Muhammad, who said in a hadith: "I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim." (Sahih Muslim 19.4366)

And only one Republican Congressman is taking issue with this? The United States should be a defender of religious freedom -- this should be an issue for the Congress as a whole, as well as the President. But of course, this is the age of Obama.

Islamic Tolerance Alert from the Kingdom of the Two Holy Places: "Saudi religious police arrest Ethiopian workers for practicing Christianity," by Benjamin Weinthal for FoxNews.com, February 21 (thanks to Lookmann):

Saudi Arabia’s notorious religious police, known as the mutawa, swooped in on a private gathering of at least 53 Ethiopian Christians this month, shutting down their private prayer, and arresting the peaceful group of foreign workers for merely practicing their faith, FoxNews.com has learned.

The mixed group of men and women was seized in a private residence in the city of Dammam, the capital of the wealthy oil province in Eastern Arabia, and Saudi authorities charged three Christian leaders with seeking to convert Muslims to Christianity. The latest crackdown on Christianity in the ultra-fundamental Islamic country comes on the heels of a brutal 2011/2012 incarceration and torture of 36 Ethiopian Christians, and drew a sharp rebuke from a U.S. lawmaker.

"Nations that wish to be a part of the responsible nations of the world must see the protection of religious freedom and the principles of reason as an essential part of the duty of the state," Rep. Jeff Fortenberry, R-Neb., who sits on the Caucus on Religious Minorities in the Middle East, told FoxNews.com.

During Advent in 2011, Saudi authorities stormed a prayer meeting at the private home of one of the Ethiopian workers in the Red Sea city of Jeddah. The Saudi mutawa imprisoned 29 women and six men for more than seven months in barbaric prison conditions, where the men faced severe beatings and the women were subjected to sexually intrusive torture methods. After Christian organizations and human rights groups, as well as the United States government, complained, the Saudis deported the 35 Christian Ethiopian workers in August 2012.

Last March, Abdulaziz ibn Abdullah Al al-Sheikh, the grand mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, declared it is “necessary to destroy all the churches in the Arabian Peninsula.”

Still, Saudi officials claim to tolerate other faiths even as the mutawa, or Commission to Promote Virtue and Prevent Vice, mount their crackdowns, said Dwight Bashir, deputy director for policy at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.

"During an official USCIRF visit to the Kingdom earlier this month, Saudi officials reiterated the government's long-standing policy that members of the Commission to Promote Virtue and Prevent Vice, also known as the religious police, should not interfere in private worship," Bashir said. "However, the past year has seen an uptick of reports that private religious gatherings have been raided resulting in arrests, harassment and deportations of foreign expatriate workers.

“The U.S. government and international community should demand that any expatriate worker detained and held without charge for private religious activity in the Kingdom should be released immediately,” Bashir added....

and give them back their passports and documents so that they may leave, if they can still walk ... no longer enslaved.

And meanwhile: nothing but the sound chirping crickets as the U.S. Government and worse, the American 'Christian' churches establishment, which should be protesting the loudest about the martyrdom of their brethren, stands idly by. What was it that Christ said in Revelation 3:16? "So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth."

Churches should really be advising their members that working in Saudi Arabia is a danger to their faith. Just don't go there, no matter how badly you need the income. Let the Saudis clean their own toilets.

We ex-Muslims living with Islam's formal and informal death penalty for apostasy know that the cruel cult of Mohammedanism is a medieval fraud.

In the minds of these Saudi Arabian slaves of Allah, they are only doing the right thing by arresting these 53 Ethiopian Christians involved in private prayer.

In doing so they are showing the world the wonderfully tolerant teachings of the perfect religion of peace! More fruits from the wretched legacy of moohammed the mad prophet of Islam.

Surely the Saudis are thinking - How dare these ignorant people not discard the falsehood of Christianity and embrace the truth of Islam!

After all, the Qur'an does say that much of Christianity is essentially null and void. Here are just a couple of examples plucked from the most unholy of Islamic holy books:

Qur'an 5:72 - States that Christians will be burned in the Fire.

"They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers."

Qur'an 5:73 - States that Christians are wrong about the Trinity. For that they will have a painful doom.

"They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve."

The "Justice" of Islamic Law in Saudi Arabia Circa 2013-

The legal system of Saudi Arabia is based on Sharia, Islamic law derived from the Qu'ran and the Sunnah (the traditions) of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Criminal law punishments in Saudi Arabia include public beheading, stoning, amputation and lashing. Serious criminal offences include not only internationally recognized crimes but also apostasy, adultery, witchcraft and sorcery.

Criminal law in Saudi Arabia is governed by Sharia and comprises three categories: hudud (fixed Quranic punishments for specific crimes), Qisas (eye-for-an-eye retaliatory punishments), and Tazir, a general category. Hudud crimes are the most serious and include theft, robbery, blasphemy, apostasy, adultery, sodomy and fornication.

Homosexual acts are punishable by flogging, imprisonment or death. Lashings are a common form of punishment and are often imposed for offences against religion and public morality such as drinking alcohol and neglect of prayer and fasting obligations.

Polygamy is permitted for men but is limited to four wives at any one time. There is evidence that its practice has increased, particularly among the educated Hejazi elite, as a result of oil wealth. The government has promoted polygamy as part of a return to "Islamic values" program. In 2001, the Grand Mufti (the highest religious authority) issued a fatwa, or opinion, calling upon Saudi women to accept polygamy as part of the Islamic package and declaring that polygamy was necessary "to fight against...the growing epidemic of spinsterhood". There is no minimum age for marriage in Saudi Arabia and the Grand Mufti reportedly said in 2009 that girls of the age of 10 or 12 were marriageable.

Men have a unilateral right to divorce their wives (talaq) without needing any legal justification. The divorce is effective immediately. The husband's obligation is then to provide financial support for the divorced wife for a period of four months and ten days. A woman can only obtain a divorce with the consent of her husband or judicially if her husband has harmed her. In practice, it is very difficult for a Saudi woman to obtain a judicial divorce. The right for men to marry up to four wives, combined with their ability to divorce a wife at anytime without cause, can translate to unlimited polygamy.

Human rights issues and failings in the rule of law in Saudi Arabia have attracted strong criticism. These include criminal law punishments that are considered as cruel, as well as the position of women, religious discrimination, the lack of religious freedom and the activities of the Saudi Mutaween.

The U.S. State department considers that “discrimination against women is a significant problem” in Saudi Arabia and that women have few political or social rights. After her 2008 visit, the UN special rapporteur on violence against women noted the lack of women's autonomy and the absence of a law criminalizing violence against women (See Qur'an, 004.034).

Every adult woman has to have a close male relative as her "guardian". As a result, Human Rights organizations have described the position of Saudi women as no different to being a minor, with little authority over their own lives. The guardian is entitled to make a number of critical decisions on a woman's behalf. These include giving approval for the woman to travel, to hold some types of business licenses, to study at a university or college and to work if the type of business is not "deemed appropriate for a woman." Even where a guardian’s approval is not legally required, some officials will still ask for it. Women also face discrimination in the courts, where the testimony of one man equals that of two women, and in family and inheritance law (See Qur'an, 002.282).

There is no legal protection of freedom of speech and Saudis are prohibited from publicly criticizing Islam. In 2010, the U.S. State Department stated that in Saudi Arabia "freedom of religion is neither recognized nor protected under the law and is severely restricted in practice" and that "government policies continued to place severe restrictions on religious freedom". No faith other than Islam is permitted to be practised. There are no churches or other non-Muslim houses of worship permitted in the country. Proselytizing by non-Muslims is illegal. Conversion by Muslims to another religion (apostasy) carries the death penalty.

Here is a recent statement from a group of Bangladeshi apostates living in the UK explaining the reasons why they have abandoned Islam:

"One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives (Qur'an 33:50). He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way...

The statement continues,

Muhammad was a narcissist, like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified."

Thank God for one man willing to speak up: "Rep. Jeff Fortenberry, R-Neb."

American jihadwatchers - especially if you are in Nebraska - write to him and thank him.

One man is better than none.

Let's pray that this one man speaking up, may be the beginning of something.

Religion in Saudi Arabia is like an old Ford: You can practise any kind you want as long as it's Sunni Islam.

"The Christianization movement is too big to be dealt with...even by all arab countries combined."
Sheikh Ahmad al-Qataani, the president of The Companions Lighthouse for the Science of Islamic Law in Libya.

churches? Tat ain't happening. their receptive governments should. but most of those co called guest workers which is a politically correct substitute for "Slavery" are in bed with Saudis anyway.
m

Don't I know it! I did write "should", not "will", didn't I?

And these are a people of modernism and peaceful tolerance, moderates they say!
You cannot trust an Arab, especially a Muslim one!

This is another story that every Christian here present should be sharing with their priest, parson, minister, vicar or other leader, and with their fellow believers in the pews.

Share the story around.

And explain that under the 'Rules For Dhimmis' in the 'Pact of Omar' and in the mass of draconian and oppressive rules elaborated thereupon, Christians (and persons of any other non-Muslim faith) living within an Islamic land are forbidden to practise or show their faith, its symbols, texts, etc, anywhere that Muslims might possibly see or hear them.

And that in 'the Arabian peninsula' itself, ALL practice of Christianity or Judaism or any other faith for that matter, is not meant to exist at all.

From the article:

"Saudi Arabia’s notorious religious police, known as the mutawa, swooped in on a private gathering of at least 53 Ethiopian Christians this month, shutting down their private prayer, and arresting the peaceful group of foreign workers for merely practicing their faith, FoxNews.com has learned.

"The mixed group of men and women was seized in a private residence in the city of Dammam, the capital of the wealthy oil province in Eastern Arabia, and Saudi authorities **charged three Christian leaders with seeking to convert Muslims to Christianity.** {my emphasis - dda}."

It was a **private** - and probably very quiet - meeting, with an entirely non-Muslim attendance. I very much doubt that they would have been singing or praying loudly enough for Muslim neighbours to hear...precisely *because* they would be afraid of being raided by the Mohammedthugs, the Enforcers of the infernal allah, demon of blood and war.

So the charge that they were 'seeking to convert Muslims to Christianity' is a ridiculous nonsense.

If there were no Muslims present in the gathering - it was wall-to-wall expat Ethiopian Christians - and no Muslim could , in the ordinary course of events, even see or hear what they were doing, how, pray, could they be evangelising Muslims?

I wouldn't mind betting that these Saudi b*st*rds have got bugs and hidden miniature cameras all through the places where their expat non-Muslim workers are quartered, just so's they [the Mohammedthugs] can spot things, like this prayer meeting, that they otherwise wouldn't know about at all (besides so as to be able to perve on their de facto dhimmis/ de facto slaves, especially the women, when the poor folks are bathing or changing their clothes).
