I don't know if it's been mentioned on this blog but I find the case of acid being thrown in the face of Naomi Oni, a girl who worked for a local Victoria's Secret, in Dagenham, E. London, by someone in a niqab, extremely disturbing. Plod is keeping an open mind but it looks, to me, like a case of Taliban tactics coming to the UK.

The photos bring home the true horror of this kind of attack: usually such images appear as cases of atrocities in Pakistan or Afghanistan and there should be a major publicity campaign and police response over this incident to make sure we see no more in the UK.
