US lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret will open two new stores in the Gulf by August as it looks to capitalise on the region’s growing retail market, the firm’s franchise partner said.

The glamorous line will launch a new outlet in the Kingdom Centre in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh this weekend, followed by a store in Bahrain City Centre in August.

It is just a couple of weeks away from Valentine's Day, and we can expect the obligatory tedious Fatwas and threats against the selling of not just racy underthings, but even cards, roses, and red balloons.

The appalling "Prophet" himself mutilated his victims—he amputated the hands and feet of some camel thieves, and also blinded them.

Amputating the hands and feet of thieves is canonical Shari'ah, as is stoning. Do you believe that stoning doesn't mutilates its victims?

What Gunung Semeru is referring to is his apologia for Muslim Malaysian authorities who have seized, held, and desecrated Christian Bibles. Those same authorities threatened to destroy some of the Bibles, including a state minister who announced that they should be burned. I had believed that some of the Bibles had been destroyed, but could find no specific reference to state destruction. I acknowledged this.

Gunung Semeru is fine with state religious oppression, theft, desecration, and the threat of property destruction—but sticks at any possible calumny of these upstanding Mohammedans.

In fact, that seems to be Gunung Semeru's main purpose here—whitewashing Islam. His suggestion that this attack was likely carried out by Niqab-wearing "skinheads" just shows how willing he is to grasp at straws in his defense of Islam.

He claims not to be Muslim, but this sort of consistent Muslim apologia taken to the most implausible extremes is extremely odd in an Infidel.

I had assumed that he might be so cowed by Islam at home in Indonesia that he felt compelled to defend that vile creed—but now he claims that he spent at least part of his youth in a (heavily Islamized) part of England.

It appears that he picked up nothing from his time in a Western nation but some "colorful" insults—certainly, he didn't pick up any civilized Western values.

1. I think the fact that the attacker was wearing a niqab might be a bit of a clue. I don't know what it's like where you live but in Britain only Muslims are in the habit of wearing niqabs. Since the gender of the perpetrator cannot be determined as they were concealed within a black tent I feel the gender neutral pronoun it should be used.

2. Did I say there had been acid attacks in the UK? If you had read my piece you would have realised that I had predicted that the aggressive patrols accosting people on the street would escalate into acid attacks. That is exactly what has happened here. I will now make another prediction. This will not be the only such attack. There will be others, most likely in London but perhaps elsewhere where there are large Muslim communities. Just as the gang rapes spread, so will these attacks. Acid attacks are common in Pakistan, which is where the largest number of Britain's Muslims come from.

3. So acid attacks have also happened in Cambodia. Perhaps they got the idea from the aggressive Muslims in Malaysia and Thailand. Unlike Islam, Buddhism does not tell its followers that all non-Buddhists must be subjugated, enslaved or killed. It does not say they are all sub-human "kuffar". It does not say that Buddhism must always dominate, and never be dominated. It does not teach that women are mentally deficient, that Jews are apes and pigs, and that homosexuals must be killed. It does not encourage the rape of nine year old girls, or endorse the practise of slavery.

Are you getting the picture? Buddhism is a peaceful creed that teaches people to find inner harmony and achieve nirvana by doing good works. Islam is a psychotic death cult that aims to conquer the world and drag it into a new Dark Age.

She was finally given refuge by Infidel Sweden, and now holds Swedish citizenship.

She lived for a time again in India, but has been denied citizenship there due to that country's large, "restive" Muslim population. She was attacked by a Muslim mob in 2007. Even though she was the victim, Kolkata expelled her.

The "All India Muslim Personal Board (Jadeed)" has offered 500,000 rupees for her beheading.

Really, you're going to have to try harder if you're going to attempt to whitewash the horror of Islam.

Actually, this is not so. I went to college with Ambassador Chris Stevens—we were at the History Department of the University of California at Berkeley at the same time as undergraduates. He was slaughtered by a Muslim mob in Libya late last year.

Oakland journalist Chauncey Bailey frequently covered events at the Oakland Library when he wrote for the Oakland Tribune newspaper. I spoke with him several times at library events. He shook my hand and his crew photographed me when I was awarded Oakland volunteer of the year back in the 1990s.

He was gunned down in 2007 by Your Black Muslim Bakery thugs because of the investigative work he had done on this vile offshoot of the Nation of Islam.

And then, I was a good acquaintance of Mike Wills, who was a barista at De Bartolo's Cafe in the Grand Lake District in Oakland. He'd come out onto the patio while taking cigarette breaks and see what new artwork I was working on. I'd often run into him and his girlfriend around the neighborhood.

His girlfriend often chided him about his smoking habit, and said it would be the death of him. Well, it was—but not in the way anyone would have thought. He went out for cigarettes one night in 2007 and was brutally murdered.

It wasn't until some time later that we learned that his killers were the same pious Muslim who would assassinate Chauncey Bailey the following month.

Really, this is astonishing—the West coast of the United States doesn't have a large Muslim population compared with many other places in the world—and yet, I personally know three people who were horribly slaughtered by members of the "religion of peace".

At the same time, the above is of less direct import than it might seem.

What Gunung Semeru is positing is a moral canard—the idea that one cannot in good conscience stand against evil unless one has experienced it personally.

Firstly, this completely ignores the role of empathy in human ethics—the very fact that one can care for people whose experiences may be quite different from one's own. This is the essence of the Golden Rule.

Further—and more concretely—in asserting that only the powerless victims of Islam be allowed to speak against it, it would virtually ensure that that victimization *continue* unchecked.

Actually, no. While I heard about Chris Steven's slaughter from cable news and Chauncey Bailey's assassination from local newsradio—he was gunned down less than a mile from my home—I heard about Mike's killing in a wholly different manner.

But, as I noted, Gunung Semeru's insistence that no one be allowed to speak out against the savagery of Islam save for those who have been directly on its receiving end is grotesque and utterly false.

And his characterizing horrors such as this acid attack as "crime" is also false and offensive. Unless it turns out that this poor girl was attacked by an ex-boyfriend or something, it is hard to imagine how this can be characterized as just crime.

It's not as though she were shot during a robbery attempt.
