Compromised CPAC turns away Pamela Geller and AFDI

After staging a succession of standing-room-only events at CPAC the last few years, dealing with issues that Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan preferred to obfuscate, Norquist and Khan have won, at least for now: Pamela Geller and I won't be hosting a presentation at CPAC this year, and it will feature no serious discussion of the central issue of our age.

That makes this victory all the sweeter. I will be at CPAC, even though I will not be cohosting an event, and will give Suhail Khan a friendly greeting.

For the last four years, Pamela Geller of AtlasShrugs.com and the American Freedom Defense Initiative have held events at CPAC featuring guests she invites to discuss the influence of Islamism on America. But this year, the American Conservative Union (ACU) has no room for Geller or her message.
In 2009, she brought Geert Wilders, who is the head of the third largest party in the Netherlands and has spoken out against the Islamization of his country.

In 2010 she held an event that her organization, The American Freedom Defense Initiative, hosted, titled "Jihad: The Political Third Rail", with speakers like Allen West, Wafa Sultan, Simon Deng, Anders Gravers, and Steve Coughlin.

In 2011, she hosted an event discussing the Ground Zero Mosque with 9/11 families. In 2012, the event was titled "Islamic Law in America."

In years past, the events were standing room only thanks to their popularity, but that apparently was not enough to counter pressure brought to bear from somewhere to exclude Geller’s message.

Geller and her coworkers recently won a court battle allowing them to post ads that countered the #Myjihad ad campaign that posited that jihad was a peaceful word. Yet despite the law's defense of her rights, the ACU will not stand up for her against critics.

Geller explained the intention of her advertisements in a statement to Breitbart News:

Hamas-CAIR's ad campaign is a psyop.“#MyJihad” is a cynical, misleading, and deceptive campaign designed to distract from and obscure the true meaning of jihad that Muslims the world over understand and all too many act upon. They're attempting to fool Americans into thinking that jihad is about getting in your exercise and making friends.
My ads, in contrast, tell the truth about the jihad that too many Muslims believe in and act upon, and the only jihad that Americans need to be concerned about. They're designed to tell the truth about jihad and lay bare CAIR's deceptions and lies.

There have been over 20,000 jihad attacks since 9/11, each one with the imprimatur of a Muslim cleric. And so I created a jihad campaign speaking about the true meaning of jihad. Our new campaign focuses on how jihadists really use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism. It uses actual quotes by jihadis and Islamic supremacists, including Osama bin Laden and Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as statements from Hamas TV and one of the victims of the Fort Hood jihad massacre....

I stand with Pamela Geller no matter where and no matter what. Screw CPAC, gross Grover, and pigfaced Suhail (seriously, remember the old Twilight Zone episode "eye of the beholder"? He looks just like those pigface monsters who thought normal people were disfigured - kinda makes sense since Mr Khan thinks normal people like Pamela and Robert are bad while the islamic supremacists who keep trying to KILL US are of course nothing to worry about). I wouldn't go anyplace where Pamela Geller wasn't welcome. CPAC can take their dhimmitude and SHOVE IT!

While Norquist does qualify as an Islamophiliac subversive, and Suhail Khan a stealth jihadist, it would be a mistake to interpret this action (or inaction) by CPAC to be due entirely -- or even predominantly -- to them.

Rather, what this reflects is something I've been hammering home for years. PC MC with regard to the problem fo Islam is distinct from Leftism, in that PC MC affects the hearts and minds of millions of non-Leftists in the West, including the majority of conservatives. Were the hearts and minds of the majority of Western conservatives not infected by PC MC, the relatively small minority of subversive Leftists and Islamophiliac fellow travelers (e.g., Prince Charles with his curiously creepy admiration for Islam) would have little influence and traction for their agenda in matters like this CPAC affair (matters which, unfortunately, abound in a variety of forms in the various realms of news media, the entertainment industry, academe, public schools, and politics).

I.e., the fault and responsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of the rank-and-file conservatives of CPAC. And why are they this way? Not because they are evil; not because they are stupid. Because their starry-eyed sincerity and concern to be ethical is simply pointed in the wrong direction. One almost wants to take hold of them by the shoulders and gently but firmly reposition their orientation -- away from the Orient and back to the Occident.

One would not have to change the content of their hearts and minds, for that content is by and large decent and intelligent, derived from the Graeco-Roman & Judaeo-Christian principles of our Western heritage. It is only the directionality that is amiss. These benighted Conservatives remain fixed in the wrong position, thinking that Muslims are an "ethnic minority" that needs to be protected from the "broad brush" of "bigotry" and other assorted sneer-quotable shibboleths and axioms of what Hugh Fitzgerald called our Age of Inhibition.

CPAC by their actions, show they are increasingly out of step with reality and with conservatives. Principles nor pragmatics seem to be of no import, a disgrace to the Founding Fathers of America.

Perhaps they may come to the shame to embrace the Canadian Supreme Court's blow to Freedom of Speech, (in Canada, the muslims are laughing with glee, at them), to wit:

More and more, they take the persona of LPAC, not CPAC! To not openly embrace Pamela, nor Robert, among the greatest enduring Friends of the Principles of Freedom and the West, among a number of heroes, brings CPAC to be difficult to distinguish, from any other liberal promotional organization.
