We would assume this means defense in case of military attack—but a good Muslim feels the need to "defend" Islam for all sorts of reasons. For instance, if Infidels openly criticize Islam or the "Prophet"; if they "erect obstacles to the spread of Islam", which might mean resisting the imposition of Shari'ah; or even if they balk at converting to Islam.

God, I hate Islam.

There is no such thing as a god outside the collective delusion of humankind. All other simians HAVE a head monkey and the old gray-back can be seen any time, scuffling around just like everyone else. That the overwhelming majority of our species doesn't understand how different and special we are, and can't shake the notion that there is an uber creature in charge of everything, testifies that humankind is unsuited for perpetuated existence as the planet's nascent species. There are simply too few thinkers and too many believers and we are doomed, doomed because we are overall too stupid to survive.

Shouldn't CAIR have those #myjihad ads up on Saudi buses? It would help the nice Saudis to understand that there's nothing violent or aggressive about jihad--it's just about making new friends and keeping fit despite their busy schedules. The Saudis are worried that new enthusiastically Islamic Bin Ladens will be nurtured within their schools. As Bin Laden did, these students will get the wrong idea and declare Jihad against the Saudi royal family--because they lord over the place as self-declared divine-right kings while feeding their own worldly and insatiable indulgences. By "correct concept of Jihad," the Saudis will be teaching that jihad is something good Muslims do only to foreign infidel countries, not to Islamic despotic kingdoms, who, after all, properly defend Islam and who faithfully abide by Sharia law.

Thus, the improved curriculum will stress, in effect: Attack infidel New York City--halal. Attack Mohammedan Riyadh--haram. Bin Laden somehow missed the last part of that lesson, you see. So he was a "bad jihadi." The Magnificent Nineteen themselves, along with pious free lancers like Major Hasan, for example, were/are the "good jihadis."
