UK: Osama's right-hand man in Europe, free on bail, re-arrested after terror raids

The radical Islamist cleric Abu Qatada is back in custody after allegedly breaching his bail conditions, days before the government makes a fresh attempt to deport him.
UK Border Agency (UKBA) officials arrested Qatada on Friday after raids by the Metropolitan police counter-terrorism unit. Searches at two houses and a business began on Thursday, while a search of a third property was continuing, Scotland Yard said.

The Special Immigration Appeals Commission was due to hold an urgent telephone hearing on Saturday afternoon to determine whether Abu Qatada would be granted bail, a spokesman for the Judicial Office said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the police investigation.

A Home Office spokesman said: "The UK Border Agency arrested a 52-year-old man from north London for alleged breaches of his bail conditions imposed by the special immigration appeals commission (Siac)." He said the breach would be considered by Siac as soon as possible.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: "Searches at a residential address in north-west London, a residential address in west London and a business address in north-west London have been completed. A search at a residential address in north-west London is ongoing."

The searches were carried out in connection with ongoing inquiries by the counter-terrorism command, he said.

Abu Qatada, who has been convicted of terrorism charges in Jordan, was due to appear at the court of appeal on Monday as part of efforts by the home secretary, Theresa May, to overturn a judge's decision to allow him to stay in the UK.

Police raids on Abu Qatada's home began at 6.30am on Thursday, Scotland Yard said, and were followed by his arrest by the UKBA on Friday.

Once described by a Spanish judge as "Osama bin Laden's right-hand man in Europe", Abu Qatada has fought deportation for more than a decade. Siac decided in November that he could not lawfully be deported to Jordan, where he was convicted of terrorism charges in his absence in 1999. Three Siac judges ruled there was a danger that evidence from Abu Qatada's former co-defendants, Abu Hawsher and Al-Hamasher, said to have been obtained by torture, could be used against him in a retrial in Jordan....

Abu Qatada probably got himself arrested on purpose. He and his family live a very cushy life in the UK, far finer than any they could hope for in some islamic hellhole. Deport, deport, deport.

Top of the league table of complaints is immigration and by default the hundreds of thousands of Muslims alighting from the planes from Islamabad to come and take our welfare.

Before the financial crash our populace grinned and bore it. Almost an I'm alright jack attitude prevailed and those outside the areas where Muslims settle didn't give a fig. Or claimed the crowing holier than thou high ground.

Now that reality has established itself again, the British masses, hit by benefit cuts are at last awakening from the slumber of apathy.

This combined with the on-line surge of information and truth the msm disgracefully previously censored around the nature of Islam is making them realise that mass Muslim immigration isn't quite the thing that we need right now.

As we've seen, Qatada who arrived as an asylum seeker himself, far from exhibiting any gratitude for a/ saving his hide and b/ the hundreds of thousands milked from the system displays the traits JW readers know all too well.

It's all about 'rights' with them and of course this meshed with the previous dhimmi mentality of our establishment. This is an establishment so far lost in its own self righteousness that even underage rape, the crème de la crime in public revulsion was ignored. Here's a link.

A public already becoming aware of the growing self segregation of Muslims and the disdain many show towardswestern ways is revolted by government apathy and to top it all, when even a criminal who openly espouses our destruction is given a three quarter million house and grossly generous welfare benefits hence Theresa May's belated response.

And now to the crux of the matter.

Last week a By Election in Eastleigh on the South Coast was held. Although the incumbent Lib-Dems held the seat the Tories were trounced into third place by UKIP, a party which would take us out of the EU and more tellingly reduce Third World mass immigration to nil.

For once democracy raises its feeble head and for once a party realising its own impending doom is forced to act.

Jordan is not, but the appalling standards of the Muslim world, a brutal place at all. So—let that sink in. This virtually means that *no* Muslim can *ever* be deported from Britain lest he face mistreatment, and so must be supported by the British taxpayer in $725,000 homes, all the while continuing to plot violent Jihad in the place that has given him sanctuary from his coreligionists.

It would, indeed, be difficult to think of a more suicidal policy than this...

Abu Qatada arrested after breaching bail conditions

A group of people, knowing that under the Rules for Dhimmis non-Muslims are not permitted to sing their religious songs within the hearing of Muslims, conducted a whole *series* of carol-singing protests within earshot of Abu Qatada's house in December, by way of protest.

And there have been regular gatherings - within view of his lair - to make known the displeasure of the British Infidel public, ever since.

I would encourage any British jihadwatchers posting or lurking here, who aren't *already* involved in these protest actions, but who live in London or within easy travelling distance and are now thinking they might like to take part in a 'Deport Abu Qatada' protest rally right there within view of his lair, to go to the NER website, look in the 'contact us' section, and get in touch with Esmerelda who may in turn be able to tell you who you should talk to so that you will know where to go if you want to participate.
