NYPD’s Ray Kelly: Boston jihad bombers represent rising jihad threat in U.S.

It’s amazing to see a public official anywhere talking about the jihad threat. It’s also gratifying to see that it is Ray Kelly, who has come under intense pressure from Hamas- and Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups and their Leftist allies in New York to scuttle any effective counterterrorism measures. “NYPD”s Ray Kelly: Boston Bombers Represent New Jihadist Threat,” by Bill Hoffmann for Newsmax, April 22:

New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly believes the Boston Marathon bombings were a type of jihad attack that is on the rise in the United States.

“I see this as an ongoing pattern. We”ve seen these radicalized young men do, or try to do, similar things,– Kelly told Newsmax TV”s “The Steve Malzberg Show.–

“We”ve had 16 plots here against the city, many of them involving young, disaffected men who are committed to killing Americans.–

Kelly said those threats have remained “relatively constant– and “we don’t see it waning.–

“What we do see is a shift from the sort of organized, top-down direction than we saw early on after 9/11 from al-Qaida to a more free-form, do-what-you-can approach,– Kelly said.

“[That’s] where individuals will get, in essence, radicalized on the Internet. They usually have someone who is a sanctioner that leads them along or mentors them.–

He pointed to a 2007 study conducted by two of the NYPD”s top intelligence analysts that looked at the radicalization process of future terrorists.

“[They are] what they call unremarkable young men who go into four phases of jihadization,– Kelly said.

“They”re looking for a place in the world. They”re looking for meaning, looking for a cause. “¦ They decide to get jihad. And after that decision is made, they can act pretty quickly.–…

The one thing we know is that the Boston Bombing is proving a resounding success.

We must do everything possible to avert more mass murder of innocent Americans. More cameras, more human surveillance to include more cops of all kinds plus more DHS personnel, more pat downs to enter large crowds, more barricades, more federal gubmint security bureaucrats, more wiretaps, more restrictions on movements, more warnings… more of everything except one thing: there must be fewer guns, or preferably no guns, for a citizens to protect themselves from the bad guys.

As we bring in more and more legal immigrant Moslems from Dar al-Islam, we have no choice but to further limit personal freedoms of natural born Infidel persons, in the name of the protection of these persons from the cruel ways of the Moslem.

**16 FOILED plots against NYC…** Yet here in Boston, the FBI and Homeland Security managed to overlook the Tsarnaev brothers despite being given very strong warning from Russian intelligence that the elder Tsarnaev had gone jihadi. It tells you just how vulnerable we are if we don’t have the right police brains in the right regions at the right time.

“…..In reality, no one expects violence against Muslims, but many Americans expect Muslims to be violent – and that’s what Wagner and Aslan are upset about. But all their wolf-crying about “Islamophobia” cannot alter the fact that those Americans are concerned about Muslims not because of Pamela Geller and me, but because of the likes of Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; and Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; and Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; and Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; and Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; and Naveed Haq, the jihad mass murderer at the Jewish Community Center in Seattle; and Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Ahmed Ferhani and Mohamed Mamdouh, who hatched a jihad plot to blow up a Manhattan synagogue; and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and many others like them who have plotted and/or committed mass murder in the name of Islam and are motivated by its texts and teachings ” all in the U.S. in the last couple of years….”

Nah; that’s no “shift”. Muslims have always operated with these two tactics in tandem — top down and bottom up (perhaps mimicking their Prophet’s sexual proclivities).

    I’m glad SOMEONE does.

“They’re looking for a place in the world. They’re looking for meaning, looking for a cause…”

And looking for their very own 72 virgins!

(Sorry. I’ve been up since Monday morning; and I’m getting a bit “punchy”. I think I’ll just shut up for awhile.)

    @PMK

Yeah, it was terribly unfortunate that the second attack against the WTC (the 9/11 attacks) were so lethal. Osama bin Laden didn’t even KNOW for sure what the planes would do to those buildings but because they **were** burned so severely the inner steel support trusses collapsed, the structures were doomed to fail and fall. bin Laden and al Zawahiri were handed a PR success not thanks to their intelligence but from sheer luck. But, thank heavens, there was the successful fight put up by the passengers on Flight 93. If that plane had hit the White House, it would have burned to the ground.

Time to demand a Muslim Reformation! Dump 50 percent of the **jihadiths** (hahaha!) and revise the Qur’an so it really is a religion of peace. If they can’t or won’t do this, then that should be part of the discussion of how to handle Islam.

Not sure why you’re addressing the Catholic Reformation in this thread as well, traeh, when I first brought it up in another thread about the need for a Reformation in Islam. Yes, of course, I’m all for “transformation,” but ‘reformation’ is the more appropriate term. Why are you insisting on being so literal w/the comparison between what happened w/Catholicism under the Reformation and what might happen if Reformation would happen to Islam? ! The term doesn’t have to mean the exact same thing as happened w/the Catholic Church, since Catholicism and Islam were/are not facing identical circumstances when facing such transformation/reformation. It’s what the noun implies and the verb states that’s the important thing.

Wahhabism wasn’t really a reformation so much as a reestablishment of the PRIMACY of the Saudi hegemony over the Prophet’s bloodline and philosophical legacy. I’d hardly call that a Reformation as I see it being needed. Besides, the likelhood of such a transformation/Reformation happening within our lifetimes is slim. I do see it happening some time in the not all that distant future.

    16 FOILED plots against NYC….AFTER 9/11.

Shows what the school of hard knocks can do. We had our warning in 1993, but then ‘only’ six people died and the WTC remained standing.

I question whether the Marathon bombing was enough of a wake-up call for the people of Boston. Only time will tell.

I fear this country will need to have its head handed to it before the truth of Islam sinks in.

Enough of Radical Islam (Ben Shapiro)
    http://crossmuslims.blogspot.com/2010/06/deserve-victory.html

Before I click on that link and spend time reading that, I need to know: is Ben Shapiro tired of the term “radical Islam” and its use and effect of obfuscating the real danger, mainstream Islam? Or is himself only tired of “radical Islam” — and thus guilty himself of tending to enable that obfuscation?

If it’s the latter, then I say “Enough of the Ben Shapiros of our Public Conversation who continue to traffic in terms like ‘radical Islam’ that are not only unhelpful but positively counterproductive in our ongoing war of ideas”.

As you know, Muslims say the Qur’an is the verbatim word of Allah. The Qur’an is not merely “inspired,” like the New Testament. The Qur’an is supposed to be verbatim. Expecting Muslims to “revise” God would be sort of like expecting Christians to “correct” Christ’s behavior. It might not be absolutely impossible, but then pigs might fly, too.

And the “Reformation” in Christian history meant a return to the sacred texts in their purity. A return to Islam’s sacred texts in their purity has already happened: It’s called Wahabism, and it rules Saudi Arabia. What you are seeking, Americana, is not really a “reformation.” It’s a transformation.

Bravo Ray Kelly, for being candid.

    More twaddle from “Americana”.

And notice that she is now positing this mythical peaceful “reformation” of Islam taking place after we all are dead.

Why face the Jihad threat when Islam will reform itself sometime in our children’s or grandchildren’s lifetimes? Of course, a lot more of us are going to wind up dead if we were to take “Americana’s” ‘sage advice’…
