Taliban urge schoolgirl they shot to return to Pakistan, “study and learn the book of Allah”

It was all because she was ignorant of Islam, you see. “Malala Yousafzai urged by Taliban to come back, join madrassa,” from the PTI, July 17 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Islamabad: Days after Malala Yousufzai made a passionate appeal at the UN for the education of children, the Taliban on Wednesday asked the teenage activist to return to Pakistan and join a madrassa in the restive northwest.

Adnan Rashid, a Taliban fighter wanted for an attempt to assassinate former President Pervez Musharraf, wrote a letter to Malala, who was shot in the head in a militant attack last year.

“I advise you to come back home, adopt the Islamic and Pashtun culture, join any female Islamic madrassa near your hometown, study and learn the book of Allah, use your pen for Islam and the plight of Muslim ummah and reveal the conspiracy of the tiny elite who want to enslave the whole humanity for their evil agendas in the name of a new world order,” Rashid wrote.

The over 2,000-word letter was dated July 15 but it was not immediately clear from where it was issued. It was released to the media today.

Rashid, a former air force personnel [sic], tried to justify the attack on 16-year-old Malala by claiming that she was involved in an “anti-Taliban campaign”.

“Taliban never attacked you because of going to school or you were an education lover; also please mind that Taliban or mujahideen are not against the education of any men or women or girls,” he wrote.

“Taliban believe that you were intentionally writing against them and running a smear campaign to malign their efforts to establish Islamic system in Swat and your writings were provocative,” he added.

Rashid further said the militants were not solely responsible for the destruction of schools, which he claimed were used by the Pakistan Army as barracks and transit camps.

He referred to Malala’s speech at the UN on Friday and claimed that she was playing into the “hand of enemies”.

“You are using your tongue at the behest of others and you must know that if the pen is mightier than the sword, then the tongue is sharper and the injury of a sword can be healed but the injury of the tongue never heals, and in the wars a tongue is more destructive than any weapon,” he wrote.

Rashid was allegedly involved in an attack at Musharraf in 2003 and was sentenced to death by a military court. In April last year, Rashid was among 384 prisoners who escaped from the Central Jail at Bannu in northwest Pakistan after it was attacked by scores of Taliban fighters….

    After reading about how student after student is raped while at the madrassa, I suspect her parents think education else where is safer all the way around.

  3. says

    The people who betrayed Malala use taqiyya to lure her to her death. Blasphemers should be killed and any Muslim is authorized to kill her under Sharia law.

    Western people are VOID of knowledge about Sharia’s VIGILANTE CLAUSE.

    It is ‘provocative’ to disagree with a supremacist.

    It is ‘provocative’ to demand universal education for girls.

    Where are the Feminists supporting Malala?

    “the injury of a sword can be healed but the injury of the tongue never heals, and in the wars a tongue is more destructive than any weapon”

    Uh, huh.

    Ever conducted a beheading, Rashid?

    They just don’t heal.

  5. says

    Rashid believes the pen or speaking is mightier then the sword.

    Another words come to a madrassa so that we can shut you up.

    Keep speaking Malala?

  6. says

    Adnan Rashid will next be featured in sepia tones on the cover of Rolling Stone in three, two, one…

    (Why not? The mainstream media’s presentation of his supposed regret is already along the same lines. Indeed, the mainstream media is acting as errand boy to present, uncritically, Taliban propaganda).

  7. says

    This is just a half-assed attempt at public relations by the Taliban because so many around the world, including Muslim apologists, were appalled at this attack. It’s extremely difficult to defend Islam as a ‘Religion of Peace’ ™ when they are murdering young girls that just want to be educated.

    Also, it must be very embarrassing to them that this young lady sounds smarter, more rational, and is more morally decent then the whole lot of these savages put together.

  8. says

    First,all that happens to the young people in the madrasas is that they get a false education by being mind programed and brainwashed in the false teachings of the affront and hoax of a book which is the Quran. Second, in real education of girls and women the Taliban have proven that they must be very much afraid of this. For they actually liked what one of their menmbers did of shooting that girl in the head with murderous intent. For the Taliban must understand that if a female becomes educated she might then start to look into different worldviews and then she just might to start the think for herself. This the Taiban with all their misogyny would detest. To put this in another way, Thomas Jeferson explained the value of a good education when he stated “Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppression of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day.”

  9. says

    there were a couple of articles about her in NY Times and WSJ. she is no longer considered a hero in Pakistan and even the main street media are accusing her of being a CIA agent!!!! Zionists conspiracy is to come shortly as well. M

  10. says

    The Taliban letter may sound absurd to us, but they mean it–they’re really serious. They are that dumb.

    I’ve begun to think that main problem with Islamists is their low IQ. Unfortunately, low IQ and propensity for violence go hand in hand for certain groups. Islam is an effect of these characteristics, not a cause.

    Does anyone take these people seriously?

  12. says

    This reminds me of a case where a young woman was lured back to either Afghanistan or Pakistan by her own family with “Let’s make happy promises” only to be quickly butchered like a side of beef.

    Never underestimate the depravity of false religion.

  13. says

    The Taliban that the actually like that one of their members was so cruel and vicious that he attempted the murder thar helpless young girl in cold blood. The Taliban by liking the heinous and malicious act of that coward have expose their true character. For he was indeed a heartless, coward, for he came after a young girl who could not defend herself. The Taliban guy did’t go after a strong man like a UFC fighter, he went after a girl . She has proven the she in the long run is much strong then that Taliban guy because she came back to still further her education and the education of other females,even after the Taliban did that hideous and brutial actions against her. Furthermore,the evil that the Taliban did to her does reflicts not only just how cruel and murderous Islam is but also the great amount of misigyny of Islam. For as Brigtte Gabriel explain in her book THEY MUST BE STOPPED “Women in Islam are considered unclean, deemed inferior even to dirt.”

    how are things going for the SON of the texas iman who put out the word to his relatives in syria: “if you see my son, kill him.”

    the son had become a CHRISTIAN last january, went back to syria to marry his fiance, and his relatives STABBED him. he survived. and the relatives STABBED him again. he survived. GOD STILL DOES HIS MIRACLES.

    A MESSAGE TO NON-MUSLIMS EVERYWHERE

    Imagine what it must be like to get up each morning and look in the mirror and say “I am a Muslim”

    Imagine the pain of telling oneself that Islam really is a Religion when you know in your heart that it is clearly not.

    Imagine how difficult it must be to admit that five prayers a day have all been in waste.

    How discouraging it must be to know that Ramadan self-reflection and sacrifice is all undone when humility succumbs to the temptation to flaunt itself turning good into harm.

    IMAGINE ISLAM
    What lies ahead is nothingness

  18. says

    “Taliban believe that you were intentionally writing against them and running a smear campaign to malign their efforts to establish Islamic system in Swat and your writings were provocative,” he added.

    So we decided to shoot you.

    That’s it. No trial. No redress or defence. For so called provocative writing they kill you.

    That’s what he’s saying and he’s saying it with pride as if mere expression which doesn’t fit his Islamism quite naturaly deserves death.

    This is Islam and no matter the lies of Obama, Cameron and co, it isn’t a warped version or an extremist view, it is the faith and ideology of millions around the world.

    Only the restraint of the West has kept it in check. We were once feared and as Kitchener demonstrated at Khartoum, the long arm of justice knew no limit in either time or space.

    Now? We try to negotiate. We try to understand.

    Meanwhile they behead a soldier on the street and our first reaction is worry about blowback.

    Taliban urge schoolgirl they shot to return to Pakistan, “study and learn the book of Allah”

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And also study and learn the book of the one true God: the Bible.
    In the Bible you’ll learn about the love of God through His Son, Jesus Christ: God in the flesh!
    “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1
    “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” — John 1:14
    You’ll also learn about the Rapture …
    Question: “What is the Rapture of the church?”
    Answer: The word “rapture” does not occur in the Bible. The concept of the rapture, though, is clearly taught in Scripture. The rapture of the church is the event in which God removes all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the tribulation period. The rapture is described primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. God will resurrect all believers who have died, give them glorified bodies, and take them from the earth, along with those believers who are still alive and who will at that time also be given glorified bodies. “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
    The rapture will be instantaneous in nature, and we will receive glorified bodies at that time. “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed”in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). The rapture is the glorious event we should all be longing for. We will finally be free from sin. We will be in God’s presence forever. There is far too much debate over the meaning and scope of the rapture. This is not God’s intent. Rather, in regard to the rapture, God wants us to “encourage each other with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
    Malala is considered a hero, this may sound a little harsh but I don’t perceive her as a hero. What exactly has she done to merit heroism? She’s a Muslim girl appealing to a corrupt organization such as the UN, for what?. If she really wants to be a hero, she should denounce her faith and use the UN platform to expose what really is the problem.
  21. says
    Amazing. The effect islam (RTC) has on people… You can start out with healthy human DNA (much harder to do after 1400 years of inbreeding…), but exposure to islam (RTC)
    A completely sick mockery of religion.
    i hope malala stays in the west,gets a western education,becomes a lawyer and starts a lawsuit against the taliban and all the other islamic cretins like them.they deserve it for what they did to her and every other women that these islamic loser scum tortured and murdered.
  23. says
    Yosip and Western Canadian: I wouldn’t say Malala is stupid to get mixed up with the UN, just that it is unfortunate. We can hardly blame a 16-year-old Pakistani schoolgirl for trusting the UN and thinking it provided protection after being shot in the head by the powerful Taliban.
    But WC, I’d lay off the fierce words.
    My brother-in-law is one of these smug atheist types but otherwise a decent human being. I am trying to talk him into a better attitude; there are ways and means. It’s very fashionable to be a smug atheist yet things can change.
  24. says
    Malala and her family evidently believe in ‘Islam-à-la-carte’, a cafeteria of ideas subjectively selected from Islam to have the greatest possible compatibility with modernity, while simultaneously omitting all those (central) ideas, such as jihad, that don’t fit.
    The Taliban sees clearly that her subjective version of Islam is not real Islam. There is only Mohammed’s version of Islam. Everything else is the sin of ‘innovation’ (‘bida’).
    Occasionally, the longtime JW regular “dumbledoresarmy” shows signs of what I call the “Airlift Syndrome”; to wit in her commentary above on my comment above:
    Now, Lemonlime, who is an atheist/ agnostic, probably regards her as absolutely irredeemable (and probably as fully and actively malevolent); naturally enough, because he’s turned his back on the God that you and I believe in. For him, there is no such thing as salvation or saving grace, because he doesn’t accept that there is – as Francis Schaeffer put it – The God Who is There and who is *not* silent.
    But you and I, being Christians, can pray that Malala, by an interposition of divine and sovereign grace, may be freed from the demonic bondage of Islam…
    By the “Airlift Syndrome” I mean a curiously delimited perspective on the problem of Islam whereby the broader and deeper problem that threatens us — with all its contextual complications, including among other things the factors of
    a) Islamic taqiyya
    b) our inability to tell the harmless Muslims from the dangerous Muslims
    c) our massively influential and prevalent Western culture of PC MC which effectively aids and abets ongoing Islamic infiltration into the West through many conceptual and psychological mechanisms, including the TMOE Meme (the “Tiny Minority of Extremists” and its other side of the coin, the VMOMAM Meme (the “Vast Majority of Muslims are Moderates”)
    d) the stealth jihad tactic of Good Cop/Bad Cop which Muslims play against the West — and which only works to the exent that enough Westerners are gullible enough to believe in the “Good Cops” (i.e., the VMOMAM Meme), which does NOT require that all of the Good Cop Muslims be “actively malevolent” for it to have its pernicious effect on our ongoing safety needs
    — becomes oddly ignored, even by those who know better, in favor of the feelings one feels of one’s heart strings being tugged by the latest Muslim Victim Du Jour, acquiring that much more verve when it’s a 16-year-old female who furthermore is herself being victimized by obviously immoderate Muslims.
    Thus elsewhere, in another thread, dumbledoresarmy suddenly forgets her Airlift Syndrome and remembers the broader problem:
    “The Ummah, or Mohammedan Mob, is the sheltering sea within which the jihadis, the sharia assassins, swim and from which, ceaselessly, they emerge; and as the Ummah grows in size and/ or perceived or actual power in any given locality, so the number of jihadis emerging from it will increase, and the level of violence they deploy will grow more extreme.”
    Above, commenter Rod Serling posted this report of this 16-year-old Muslima and her advocacy of a Moderate, Peaceful Islam and Mohammed:
    Malala Yousafzai described Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a role model for compassion and forgiveness against those who have exploited religion to spread carnage and chaos.
    When a person, even a seasoned hardened Counter-Jihad person, puts on their Airlift Syndrome hat and thinks we can reach out and abstract ourselves from the context of this war we are in (which is necessarily and crucially being waged as a war of ideas precisely because it is not being waged, by the West, as an actual war as it should) and just pluck a given Muslim Victim out of this unavoidably complex context and just airlift them to safety (whether that safety be a secularist Wilsonian salvation, or a Christian eschatological salvation), they momentarily and strangely lose their minds and forget the larger context in which the world is fighting for its life — but so far tragically only in the wits of a small minority like us here — a larger context where ideas and memes mean everything and which, in the camp of our enemy, are actively exploiting Western sensibilities which favor — through political policy and through societal psychology — their (the enemy’s) ongoing deepening infiltration, which presents a mortal threat to untold numbers of our citizens not to mention destruction of infrastructure in horrific terror attacks which that infiltration will make increasingly possible.
    And I deeply resent the fact that I had to spend all this time and effort articulating what should be known by now by seasoned JW regulars.
    “…That it may please thee [that is, God – dda] to have mercy upon all men
    “**That it may please thee to forgive our enemies, persecutors and slanderers, **and to turn their hearts**
    “We beseech thee to hear us, good Lord.”
    All I am doing, in reminding my fellow Christians here to *pray* for the conversion of Muslims, and specifically, for this particular person, Malala, who happens to have been brought to our attention, is acting in conformity with the established practice of the Church Universal, as expressed in those phrases above, from the liturgy in the Book of Common Prayer’.
    I am *applying*, specifically, the principle enunciated in that ancient Litany.
    If LemonLime doesn’t like that, he can lump it.
    Hi Gerard, I’ve worked in the “lunatic” business (as a nurse) for just on 40yrs.
    nothing I’ve heard from even the most psychotic, deluded, gradiose suffers of psychosis, come near to this degree of detachment from rationality, reality or recognition of standards of basic human and humane decency.
    But hey, I’m talking from parameters in the west. This detachment from reality and rationality might be, nay, evidently is, peculiar to this particular belief system.
    The west doesn’t share it!!! So we have ipso facto, irreconcilable differences in some absolute fundamentals. That would be just even more fundamentals.
  33. says
    But as you know, they are not taking over by war but by stealth and they have made great headway and will succeed if there is not a serious awakening of the Western powers.
    In the west we can speak of insane individuals against a background of reasonable sanity. (for the most part anyway) In Islamic countries you have insane regimes. Just one example: They think the Jews are responsible for all their ills. If I went around saying the Latvians are responsible for all the world’s ills I would be locked up! In insane societies the sane individuals are persecuted and/or killed. Those who leave Islam have a death sentence hanging over them. Criticism of Islam is not allowed. In former USSR dissidents were often sent to psychiatric institutes. There is very real overlap between insanity and totalitarianism.
After all she was offending. Uurrgghh!!
    Can posters volunteer suggestions as to how they may contribute to this girl’s, and possibly family’s, escape from further attack/persecution.
    It maybe that the family aren’t interested, but maybe they are. I can’t think of more deserving to be protected by the infidel west.
    I’ll watch for posts
    Hi Gerard, the rub is, definition of a delusion in psychiatry is, a belief NOT in keeping with religion culture etc.
    Islam’s beliefs are entirely in keeping with its teachings and beliefs, So cannot strictly be called a delusion by the west’s definition.
    The seeming insurmountable problem is, the stupid, wilfully ignorant, apologist west, is thinking they are comparing apples with oranges, and concluding ” fruit” Ie: Some apparent similarity or common ground.
    NO WE ARE NOT in the same category. There is NO common moral, or any other human respecting ground.
    All the evidence of the Islamist teachings are, that Islamists are not the same as infidels in any way, except for the superficial appearance of the human form.
    They believe themselves superior, privileged, selected, and special in every way.
    So much so, that they believe themselves mandated by Allah to rid the globe of those that are not of their beliefs and observances.
    More:
    “Taliban never attacked you because of going to school or you were an education lover; also please mind that Taliban or mujahideen are not against the education of any men or women or girls,” he wrote.
    …………………………………
    What crap. The Taliban and other devout Mohammedans go about blowing up girls’ schools and attacking girls with acid. And these schools are hardly ‘against Islam’ in any other way. (Perhaps they *should be*, but that is a separate issue.
  42. says
    Their beliefs can be faulted, eg “They believe themselves superior”. Where is the evidence of their superiority? Indeed all the evidence points the other way: Islamic societies are backward and heavily dependent on the West.
  43. says
  44. says
    As I’ve said elsewhere, Malala, poor young girl,is part of the problem in the end. Her father came on TV one day saying that the Taliban is not Islam, Islam is peaceful, and probably – we have no reason to believe otherwise – Malala thinks the same.
    So, another boost for the powerful Islam-can-be-reformed or Islam-is-fundamentally good lobbies.
    And the UN,as you say, is a corrupt organisation to get mixed up with.
    Malala will be schooled allright, to speak pure PC and advance the stealth agenda, unless she leaves Islam completely. But she’s only 16. It might take a while, and being rewarded for her current stance might be enough to keep her happy and enjoy the feting.
    Well said Western. It used to annoy me immensely how Liberals, Lefties and Atheists ALWAYS assumed the moral and intellectual high ground. Now I see them as so many bubbles that are really quite easily deflated with the pins of reason and knowledge that they claim to have but in fact do not.
    “As I’ve said elsewhere, Malala, poor young girl,is part of the problem in the end. Her father came on TV one day saying that the Taliban is not Islam, Islam is peaceful, and probably – we have no reason to believe otherwise – Malala thinks the same.”
    I fully agree. In this instance (and there are thousands of other instances in various ways throughout the world and, more importantly, in the West), the Taliban is the Bad Cop, and Malala’s father (and it is reasonable to suppose, Malala herself) is the Good Cop.
    And the thing about the Bad Cop/Good Cop tactic is that it only works to the extent that you having gullible dupes willing to be fooled — as we do here at Jihad Watch who practically endow Malala with a halo of heroism just because a) she’s a she; b) she’s a girl; and c) the Bad Cops tried to kill her (oh that’s a new one — Muslims killing other Muslims… never heard that one before!).
    Sickening but hardly surprising, miriam. Here’s the story from the NYT international edition:
    “About the Malala Backlash”
    http://latitude.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/07/18/the-malala-backlash/
    This includes such idiocy as the idea that she is a CIA agent or that she staged the attack to get famous and to gain asylum abroad”hey, wouldn’t anyone shoot themselves in the head in order to become famous? And everyone knows that the CIA’s main recruitment pool is 15-year-old Pakistani girls…sarc/off
    And the people saying this are not Taliban members, but middle-class Pakistani social media users.
    But the NYT doesn’t really know what to do with this information, and vaguely chalks it up to Pakistan still “struggling to figure itself out” and escape its “colonial past”.
    Islam is mentioned only briefly and in passing. And why not? The author of the piece is, from her name, likely Muslim herself”and so her attitudes are schizophrenic at best.
    “The Taliban sees clearly that her subjective version of Islam is not real Islam. There is only Mohammed’s version of Islam. Everything else is the sin of ‘innovation’ (‘bida’).”
    The problem is that the existence of Muslims like that (even assuming they are genuinely “bida-ish”) contributes to the prevalent meme in the West that Islam is “not monolithic” and that multitudes of Muslims are harmless and can be assimilated into the West with no problem, and that for us to even raise any concern about this would be “Islamophobic”, etc ad nauseam.
    When I find attitudes enabling this meme even from within the Counter Jihad (often worsened by a stubborn defensiveness), it’s very dispiriting.
    Malala’s sixteen. And right now she’s in the West, where it’s not impossible for those who ditch Islam, to find a hiding place.
    Teenage brains are in a fluid state; the latest research suggests that neurological development is not complete till around age 20/ 21. So I don’t see her as irreversibly ‘locked into’ Islam.
    Pray that she will somehow run across – or maybe even already has encountered, who knows? – rock-solid Christians. Stranger things have happened. Hey, pray for visions and dreams of the Lord. Do we believe in a God who is powerful and gracious, or don’t we?
    Now, Lemonlime, who is an atheist/ agnostic, probably regards her as absolutely irredeemable (and probably as fully and actively malevolent); naturally enough, because he’s turned his back on the God that you and I believe in. For him, there is no such thing as salvation or saving grace, because he doesn’t accept that there is – as Francis Schaeffer put it – The God Who is There and who is *not* silent.
    But you and I, being Christians, can pray that Malala, by an interposition of divine and sovereign grace, may be freed from the demonic bondage of Islam: set free, as Gulshan Esther was (did you ever encounter a book called ‘The Torn Veil’? Gulshan was about Malala’s age when she had a simply overwhelming and life-transforming vision of Jesus) and as Hannah Shah was (The Imam’s Daughter); and any number of others, similarly freed, whom Rosemary Sookhdeo mentions in her two books about Islam and women.
    If two or three agree together…let’s you and I together agree to pray for Malala’s redemption and deliverance. Why not? God doesn’t desire the death of sinners; He wants them to turn from their wickedness and live.
    And I’ll pray for your brother-in-law, too.
    I would agree, she’s too young to grasp UN political intricacies, but when it comes to Islam, I doubt it.
    As for WC’s fierce words, that’s OK, I don’t get offended easily and I fully subscribe and value freedom of speech, whatever the kind.
    You said, “Shit, I messed up the html code at the end, and now I’m too fucking exhausted to redo it. I suggest dumbledoresarmy do it for me; that’s the least she can do.”
    That was a nasty, snide, uncalled for remark – demanding that I do something that is simply *impossible*, given that commenters here cannot edit one another’s posts – and *you know it*, so why say it?
    I repeat: fundamentally, you do. not. get. what motivates me, or how I look at the world, because *you do not believe that God – YHWH – exists, cares, or is sovereign*.
    I **do not believe that it is impossible for Malala to be freed from Islam**…BUT IF THAT HAPPENS IT WILL ONLY HAPPEN by **divine grace**.
    Given that she *IS* here in the west right now, praying for her conversion is a perfectly practical thing for me and PJG – *given that we are orthodox evangelical Christains** to do.
    How *dare* you tell me not to pray. You have no right to tell me not to pray.
