Senate rushing to vote on aiding al-Qaeda in Syria on September 11

On September 11, 2001, al-Qaeda struck America, murdering 3,000 people. Twelve years later, the Senate will vote to approve military aid to the al-Qaeda forces in Syria.

Islamic jihadists and supremacists are at high levels of government and enjoy media adulation, while freedom fighters are everywhere vilified, marginalized, and even banned from entering Britain.

The world is upside down.

“Senate Breaks Own Rules in Rush to Vote on Syria War,” by Josh Rogin in the Daily Beast, September 4 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

Senate Democratic leadership tossed aside the rules for moving legislation with regard to the resolution authorizing the use of military force against Syria, angering some Republicans and creating confusion on Capitol Hill in the run-up to the war vote.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee narrowly approved a modified war resolution Wednesday afternoon by vote of 10–7 with one member, Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), voting present. The committee’s action allows Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to bring the measure to the floor as early as Monday, following a break for the Jewish holidays. That would allow a vote by the full Senate as soon as Wednesday, giving the Senate a chance to pass a war resolution before the House has a chance to craft and pass a resolution of its own.

But some GOP Senate offices are upset with what they see as a rush by Democratic leadership to pass the war authorization outside the rules that govern how legislation goes through the committee process.

“This is a rush to war behind closed doors,” one senior GOP Senate aide said. “We were told there was a need to have a thoughtful and public debate about how this nation goes to war, but this seems to be about simply getting a resolution done to cover the president.”…

If the U.S. Congress votes for the Al Qaeda it will be a sad, sad day for America and the free world. What a thing to happen on the anniversary of 9/11. Is this how the U.S. Congress will honour the victims of Al Qaeda and their memory?

In Massachusetts, Markey’s site is down hopefully from overwhelming responses. Warren is taking emails. Hopefully, these peacenick Lefties come to their senses and vote no. Right now they are proceeding with caution but still licking the boots of Obama.

    Lefties are strange people.

They celebrate things like Planned Parenthood (which are in the business of killing children), and they complain about people who care enough about protecting themselves (and children) that they choose to legally carry a firearm. And then these same lefties turn around and act like they wanna protect children.

Liberal Logic: They are against arming guards/teachers in schools to protect children, but they have no problem arming adults in abortion clinics to protect other adults who are killing children.

Now we have this situation in Syria.

OK, so let me get this straight. On 9/11/2013, the Senate will vote on going to war in Syria on the side of the same group of Muslim Terrorists who attacked us on 9/11/01 (Al Qaeda). And the Democrat majority in said Senate say they support joining the Muslim Terrorists, so it is expected to pass.
Makes you wanna run right out and become a lefty, doesn’t it?

shows Reid’s ( and Kerry’s and Obama’s) views of this country, in my opinion. AS WELL AS THAT OF ANY SENATOR WHO VOTES FOR THIS, on Sept.11 or any other day.
