Syrian Foreign Minister: “We are asking ourselves how Obama can…support those who in their time blew up the World Trade Center in New York”

I am asking myself the same question. “Syria: US strikes would help those who ‘blew up World Trade Center,'” by Albina Kovalyova and F. Brinley Bruton for NBC News, September 9:

MOSCOW – Syria’s foreign minister accused Barack Obama of backing terrorists as the White House ramped-up its efforts to make the case for military strikes to punish President Bashar Assad’s regime for the alleged use of chemical weapons.

“We are asking ourselves how Obama can … support those who in their time blew up the World Trade Center in New York,” Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem said during a press conference with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.

Sunni Muslim extremists allied with al Qaeda are among the rebels fighting to overthrow Assad, a member of the Alawite sect, a Shiite offshoot.

Lavrov said there was enough evidence to show that the rebels fighting Assad have chemical weapons themselves, raising questions about who was behind the gas attack on August 21.

Russia, one of Assad’s staunchest supporters, continued its call for a political solution to the crisis, which has claimed some 100,000 lives, displaced close to a third of Syria’s population and destabilized the region….

If we can support Al Qaeda, then we can make peace with those who in their time killed 200 marines in Beirut, took our embassy hostage, killed our troops by feeding IEDs into Iraq, threatened to wipe Israel from the map, etc.

Peace is breaking out all over. Let us make peace with the Sunni and Shiites and let bygones be bygones.

    Can’t we all just COEXIST
As a token of good faith I suggest the “King Solomon approach” in that we cut the Quran in half and give one piece to Teheran and one piece to Mecca then declare each piece to be a “Nobel Piece Prize” to each side.

It appears to be impossible to understand obama logically. The syrian authorities has just discovered this, russians have known this and the rest of us will have to live with it … until 2016.

obama’s mind is like a singularity. At the epicenter of a singularity, laws of physics break down. Similarly, in obama head, logic breaks down.

It’s surreal that Charlie Rose had Bashar al-Assad interviewed on his show aired today.

Charlie: “Thank you Mr. Assad for taking time out of your busy schedule of being attacked by a raging civil war to be on our show…”

Bashar: “Thanks for having me, Charlie. It’s been a rough week, for sure…” (laughs nervously)

Charlie: “Before we begin, I just want to say that I’m sorry my President wants to kill you and your people with missiles. How is your lovely wife doing, by the way…?”

This is a damning indictment of the American MSM. Why does the “pencil-necked dictator” have to be the one who reminds us of something over which the chattering class ought to be abuzz?

When the O’s misadministration decided to support the Libyan rebels, I was appalled over the same thing, since it had been known for some time that eastern Libya had long been a hotbed Qaida sympathizers. When I heard of support for the Syrian rebels–who were full of the MB and Qaida–I was again appalled; but chiefly because it was not something that seemed to register with the news editors of our land.
