Jew-hating “poet” Amiri Baraka, who claimed Jews knew about 9/11, dies at Beth Israel Hospital

What a ghastly abuse of Thelonious Monk’s impeccable “Misterioso”

Bravo for life’s little ironies. Apparently the wicked Zionists didn’t hold it against this vicious, mendacious racist and anti-Semite. Baraka, of course, was not an Islamic supremacist or a Muslim at all, but he shared the same conspiracy paranoia and hatred of Jews so common among those supremacists. “Poet and playwright Amiri Baraka dies,” from the Associated Press, January 9:

NEW YORK (AP) “” Amiri Baraka, the militant man of letters and tireless agitator whose blues-based, fist-shaking poems, plays and criticism made him a provocative and groundbreaking force in American culture, has died. He was 79.

His booking agent, Celeste Bateman, told the Associated Press that Baraka, who had been hospitalized since last month, died Thursday at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

From Baraka’s notorious “poem” “Somebody Blew Up America“:

Who know why Five Israelis was filming the explosion
And cracking they sides at the notion…

Who knew the World Trade Center was gonna get bombed
Who told 4000 Israeli workers at the Twin Towers
To stay home that day
Why did Sharon stay away?

I didn’t find this racist… He names a lot of others besides Sharon who is Jewish. Why is there a word for racism against Jews (anti-Semitic) but not an institution for other groups who are hated against?

Those crafty Israelis convinced 19 Saudi citizens to highjack 3 airplanes and they also convinced Bin Laden to take credit for the terrorism!

The Saudi government was paying for the 19 Saudi plotters to stay in the US.

The Saudi government should be sued for its complicity. I cannot believe Saudi intelligence knew nothing about these men.

  3. says

We need to take him seriously because he swears and uses the word ‘nigger’ and slangs all white people.

    Unfortunately, Sharia law forbids poetry.

With a name like Amiri Baraka how he cannot be a Muslim. It beats me since these are patently Muslim names. He may have been a non-practicing Muslim but a Muslim nevertheless!!Only Islam creates such a hate for Jews!

  5. says

Oh, it was the JOOOOOOOOS, LeRoi? (his real name)

Well, I have news for you – it was the MUSLIMS.

You may have written some fine poems but the one about 9/11 is a real stinker.

Wow. A black American poet who forms his art in ebonics. At least he was smart enough to insist on a Jewish doctor.

This DELUSIONAL blaming of the Jews for 9/11 raises the question of the involvement of the Saudi government!

There is evidence that Saudi Arabia was aware of the 9/11 plotters … their support for the plotters makes the Saudi government at least partly (if not mostly) responsible. Some suggest that the Saudi government committed an ACT OF WAR!

A pair of congressmen “who recently read the redacted portion (of Bush’s 2002 800-page report) say they are “absolutely shocked” at the level of foreign state involvement in the (9/11) attacks.

“Reps. Walter Jones (R-NC) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) can’t reveal the nation identified by it without violating federal law. So they’ve proposed Congress pass a resolution asking President Obama to declassify the entire 2002 report, “Joint Inquiry Into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001.”

“Some information already has leaked from the classified section, which is based on both CIA and FBI documents, and it points back to Saudi Arabia, a presumed ally.

“The Saudis deny any role in 9/11, but the CIA in one memo reportedly found “incontrovertible evidence” that Saudi government officials ” not just wealthy Saudi hardliners, but high-level diplomats and intelligence officers employed by the kingdom ” helped the hijackers both financially and logistically. The intelligence files cited in the report directly implicate the Saudi embassy in Washington and consulate in Los Angeles in the attacks, making 9/11 not just an act of terrorism, but an act of war.”

9/11 Truthers are the lowest form of scum. Most are far left, socialist, and make excuses for the Jihadists, often claiming Islam is peaceful- Truthers usually blame the Jews or George Bush

I saw this individual being lauded on a liberal website. I had never heard of him, so I googled. I read about how back in the 1960s, he was writing that all white women deserve to be raped. What a creep.

  10. says

How absolutely typical of anti-semites every where.

Virulent Jew hatred, but they make no bones about taking advantage of Jewish expertise and medical technology.

And the decent and civilised Jews continue to treat with humanity, those who desire their ultimate destruction.

I don’t know whether to applaud them for their altruism, or shake my head in despair at such foolishness. Because they will never be applauded for their decency, merely reviled.

Back in the day, LeRoi Jones penned a poem entitled “Black People!” It may be found in “The LeRoi Jones/Amiri Baraka Reader.” It’s one of the most significant works in black American literature, because it so truly captures the essence of what so many of them feel:

“You cant steal nothin from a white man he’s already stole it he owes you anything you want, even his life.”

The antidote to this attitude weighs 230 grains, moves out at 820 feet per second, and may be had at your local gun store. Don’t leave home without it!

    To all younger JW’ers:

Back in the Silly ‘Sixties and Sillier ‘Seventies, Amiri Baraka was considered the epitome of the angry young black poet. Born Everett LeRoi Jones, he was one of many who made the names of the slave hunters, sellers, and castraters “cool”. He was definitely a man of the Left and professional hater of the USA, and that resonated mightily with a crowd of confused college kids of the era.

Much as I make no bones about being a hard-core Calvinistic Christian and do not subscribe to the Dispensational fundamentalism that sees every headline about modern Israel as a harbinger of the end times, I have always been turned off by Baraka’s blatant anti-Semitism. Being of Middle European Jewish ancestry on my father’s side, I know I would’ve been gassed had I lived in in Nazi-dominated Europe, so an anti-Semite who wraps himself in the colors of one of the earth’s “oppressed” is no better in my sight than one in a brown shirt and jackboots. I am old enough to remember my uncle, a school principal in NY who’d been a fighter for racial equality long before it became popular, smeared by ’70’s black militant anti-Semitism of the sort upon which Baraka harped. Indeed, it was things such as what I’ve just described that moved my much younger self from my social democrat upbringing to unabashed American conservatism (limited government, political compact, and Bible-based religion. Thank you, Puritans).

Yes, I savor the irony of Amiri Baraka, that foul-mouthed Jew-baiter, dying in the care of a top class hospital which supposedly “filthy Jewish money” built to serve a much wider community.

He was not worthy to lick the scuffed shoes of the humblest Yiddish-accented early 20th century immigrant donor who put a few scarce dollars into the kitty to help build the hospital in which he died.
