Shhh! Don’t let this news be aired about too much! Think about the damage it could do if a majority of Americans knew that this kind of thing was happening! “Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.” — Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, February 8, 2013
More on this story. “Death of an Innocent Woman- Mary Sameh George,” from Coptic World, March 29 (thanks to Richard):
Mary Sameh George, a 25-year-old, was leaving church near Ain Shams when her car was stopped by angry Muslim Brotherhood protesters (allege Coptic officials and the government).
Mary was dragged from her car, beaten, stabbed 16 times and then strangled to death. Her car was then set on fire.
Mary is one of five killed in violent clashes between protesters and police in Egypt’s Ain Shams. The funeral is expected to be held within the coming 24-48 hours and the Coptic Community has called for an immediate investigation and for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
