The coin design “is reportedly based on the original dinar coins of the Caliphate of Uthman around 650 CE.” The world map in the pictured coin is a reminder of the fact that they believe their caliphate rightly encompasses the entire world. They will keep fighting against non-Muslims in order to realize that goal until they are prevented from doing so.
“First pictures of ISIS coins as terror group is set to issue its own currency,” by Jon Dean, Mirror, June 23, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
These are the first images of terror group Islamic State’s own currency.
The brutal jihadists seem to have minted their own coins, and pictures of the cash have appeared online.
Photographs were Tweeted by anti-ISIS activists living under the radical thugs’ vicious regime in Syria.
They claim the terrorist currency will soon be in use.
One wrote: “The new coins that #Isis say it will deal with it soon #Syria #IS #ISIL.”
The photos include one of what is said to be a five dinar piece, featuring Arabic on one side and seven wheat stalks on the other.
Another has a map of the world on one side.
The Islamic State controls large parts of Syria and Iraq and has managed to build wealth through its control of oil fields.
The money looks similar to the designs released by the Jihadists last year, when it announced it would use gold, silver and copper coins.
It is reportedly based on the original dinar coins of the Caliphate of Uthman around 650 CE….
