This will be seized upon as evidence that we should keep our troops in Syria and fight on until the Islamic State is completely eradicated. But there will arise another jihad group after it. Shall we keep our troops there forever? There are other, more effective ways to deal with this threat. We need to combat the ideology that fuels it, which we have made no attempt to do, and formulate ways to contain the threat so that jihadis cannot travel from Syria and other Muslim countries to the U.S., while enforcing existing laws in the U.S. against Muslims who plot jihad or practice Sharia provisions that violate existing American laws.
“US service members killed in ISIS-claimed attack in Syria,” by Zachary Cohen, Veronica Stracqualursi and Kevin Liptak, CNN, January 16, 2019:
Washington (CNN)ISIS has claimed responsibility for a deadly explosion that killed US service members in the Syrian city of Manbij on Wednesday.
US service members were killed in the attack, according to a tweet from the spokesperson for the US-led coalition Operation Inherent Resolve.
“U.S. service members were killed during an explosion while conducting a routine patrol in Syria today. We are still gathering information and will share additional details at a later time,” the tweet said.
The coalition has not said how many service members were killed. Prior to Wednesday’s attack, only two US service members had been killed in action in Syria since the start of the campaign in 2014.
There were several reported casualties in the city a militia controlling the city and a UK-based monitoring group said.
The ISIS-affiliated Amaq agency said the attack in the northern city of Manbij was carried out by a suicide bomber with an explosive vest.
“An explosion in Manbij’s busy market street, initial reports of casualties,” spokesman of the Manbij military council Shervan Darwish wrote on Twitter.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least eight people were killed….

Inherent Resolve ……….. ? These names should be replaced with Arabic translations of sharper operational names like, for example, ‘Fast track clowns to Paradise’! That would really incense these idiots!

what about the 72 virgins that are waiting for them?? how soon that there will be none to find
J D S says
If these stupid potential suiciders really knew that they actually were bound for hell maybe some of this terrorism would cease…The question remains..How can we make them understand that THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PARADISE but only to Hell and to believe otherwise is pure STUPIDITY!
PRCS says
Just tell them the truth: there’s no Heaven or Hell, No virgins awaiting them. They’ll just be dead.

Now some are questioning if the is are really “defeated.” it only takes one guy to set off a bomb. Every terrorist would have to be locked up or killed to completely stop the terror.
And, in other news regarding the evils of islam: An American was killed along with about a dozen other people in Nigeria by members of al shabab, it was reported today on the local news station. The American had been a Peace Corps volunteer, but had founded his own company and was working there.

One cannot destroy islamic jihadists by bombing alone, one has to go to the root source of islamic jihadism and that root cause IS ISLAM itself! Unfortunately Western nations are banning Christianity and promoting Islam in many different ways! Western world is indeed pro-islam, pro-jihadist satanists! May they be punished for this!

How does this from christianblood make any sense? He allies with Iran and Hizb’allah, says that Jihad in Russia is not a threat, lauds Shari’ah in Chechnya, and has said many times that he wants to see Muslims conquer the West.
None of this is anti-Islam–just the opposite, in fact.
smoris says
It seems crystal clear that what we need to do is contain Muslims in their own countries, quit trying to “reform” them and keep them out of our country and not allow them to influence our culture or value system. We need to arrest them when they act out violently or otherwise break our laws and limit their control of our political system and our information network. Going over there and trying to pick “friendly” Muslims to support is folly. Once their primary enemy is defeated they will always turn on the next one – us. How many American soldiers have been killed by the people they are training? Why on earth train or equip them? In the end we are their perceived long-range enemy. The contention among Muslims is who will defeat us, not who will get along peacefully with us. The Koran is clear. The intent of its prophet and his followers is clear. We are the enemy. We are to be defeated, killed, subdued, enslaved. That is it and that is all.

Yes–we were mostly safe from Jihad for almost two hundred years when we isolated Islam.

If the US had pulled them out a little quicker, these fatalities would not have happened. If they hadn’t have invaded Afghanistan, 2,700 US soldiers would still be alive. If they had not invaded Vietnam, 58,000 American soldiers would still be alive. If they hadn’t have invaded Iraq, 4,424 US soldiers would still be alive. If they hadn’t invaded Korea, 33,651 American soldiers would still alive. Close to 100.000 dead, over 400.000 wounded, 10 Trillions dollars spent! WHEN are they going to learn!!??

I recommend that you study human nature and human history more prior to making ignorant (and I mean ignorant as in “ignoring the facts”) statements. It is a truly “el sucko” world out there. If you cannot handle the necessary ugliness to protect this nation, I recommend (once again) that you legally emigrate your way to a locale that it “nice” to everyone.
Wishing you a successful education and a “nice” new home.
PS, Christ’s blood was shed for the atonement of sins for all who believe in him. As such, it would be respectful for you to use proper capitalization of Christ to honor him. Unless, that is, you are being intentionally ignorant, again. More education. Sigh……

You forgot the numerous battles against Little Turtle and Blue Jacket for Kekionga ( Fort Wayne) in 1794. The biggest slaughter of whites in the Indian Wars actually occured at Fort Recovery Ohio. Hey, one of my ancestors fought under Mad Anthony Wayne and was successful at the Battle of Fallen Timbers near Maumee Ohio.
Indiana Tom says
Actually, we were fighting a lot of little wars while we were still British citizens.
Demsci says
How to answer that?! First there is the context of # 5000 years of history; “war was ubiquitous almost everywhere in the world. And there were raids + small fights before history.
Another context; look at America’s Opponents; they must at least share the responsibility. They were adult humans and they so to speak did “pull the lion’s tail”).
Furthermore; democracies seldom fight each other. Much less than dictatorial countries. And from 1945-1991, before the fall of the Soviet Union America responded to the agression of the Sovjets mostly. After it had responded to the Nazi’s and Japan.
Furthermore: America, esp. Since 1991, is the mightiest nation and therefore the “policeman of the world” and this is to ensure safety and prosperity through trade. And trade flourishes with trust in Safety and thus “policeman America”

And how many lives would have been saved if America hadn’t had a civil war and hadn’t entered the two world wars? The Vietnam war ended communist expansion in Asia. The Iraq War prevented the mad man Hussein from developing nuclear weapons. It is always easy to criticize interventions as what would have happened if there had been no intervention is always open to argument.
During the campaign Donald Trump criticized the practice of announcing military deployments or withdrawals in advance. He was right to do so but he failed to follow his own advice. In the 4 years prior to President Trump’s announcement, the United States had suffered 5 casualties in Syria, one of which was in the last year. and the deployment of a mere 2000 troops, together with the on the ground fighting of the Kurds had devastated ISIS. Every life is important, but it is quite clear that no where in the world was America receiving as much benefit from so few troops as in Syria.
The announcement of the withdrawal and the withdrawal itself which necessarily is an abandonment of America’s Kurdish allies are mistakes.
It would be wonderful if the United States did not have to deploy troops throughout the world, but where America does not go Russia will.
Perhaps you could speak to your Russian friends.

Actually America lost all those wars and much more! For instance, 58000 Americans die in Vietnam and the Communist Vietnam won the war at last! The amazing thing is they NEVER LEARN FROM IT! THEY KEEP REPEATING THE SAME SHIT OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I am talking about the “Christianblood” being shed by the U$ and Western-backed islamic jihadists in places like Libya, Syria, Kosovo and Bosnia. For instance,
America/Nato backed Balkan jihadists two decades ago, bombed Christian Serbs and established two islamic states (Bosnia & Kosovo) in Eastern Europe! As a result of that, Hundreds of Serbian Orthodox Churches and Monasteries were destroyed by KLA jihadists supported by America and Nato in the region known as ‘Metohija’ alone!

Just because you destroy their government does not mean that they cannot carry out terror raids. This really came very close to happening during the Civil War. A lot of progressives and blacks wanted the South severely punished. Truth is, Grant, Sherman, Lee, and Johnston were bending over backwards trying to make an amendable peace to keep a guerrilla and terrorist war from happening in the USA.

I do understand that the 1400 hundreds years that islamic jihad bloodshed has inflicted on humanity. What is really, really shocking to me is that for the past several decades U$ is allying itself with islamic jihadist groups and states in the aim of furthering its own satanic liberal imperialist agenda! It is more and more becoming clear to me that there is NO much difference between the U$ pro-jihadist liberal imperialist Anti-Christ agenda and Saudi-sponsored global islamic jihadist movements!
