Suicide bombers: “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties, for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed.” (Qur’an 9:111)
More on this story. “Blasts at Sri Lanka hotels and churches kill 156,” AFP, April 21, 2019:
A string of blasts ripped through high-end hotels and churches holding Easter services in Sri Lanka on Sunday, killing at least 156 people, including 35 foreigners.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe condemned the attacks as “cowardly” and said the government was working to “contain the situation”.
Images circulating on social media and local news stations showed extensive damage at one of three churches targeted in the near simultaneous blasts on Sunday morning.
Much of the church roof was blown out in the explosion, with roof tiles and splintered wood littering the floor and pools of blood in between wounded worshippers.
The injured flooded into local hospitals, where officials reported hundreds of wounded were being admitted.
The nature of the blasts was not immediately clear and there were no immediate claims of responsibility.
But documents seen by AFP show that Sri Lanka’s police chief Pujuth Jayasundara issued an intelligence alert to top officers 10 days ago, warning that suicide bombers planned to hit “prominent churches”.
“A foreign intelligence agency has reported that the NTJ (National Thowheeth Jama’ath) is planning to carry out suicide attacks targeting prominent churches as well as the Indian high commission in Colombo,” the alert said.
The NTJ is a radical Muslim group in Sri Lanka that was linked last year to the vandalisation of Buddhist statues….

Hashim shares a surname with an certain British appointed Arabian king, who does not allow any Jews for citizens in his legal code, whatsoever. My point being, that’s not an East Asian name it’s an Arab name.
I AM THE INFIDEL YOUR IMAM WARNED YOU ABOUT says
Hashim, Hashem etc., is not exclusively an Arab name…. it’s a very common islamic name in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, I was born in a God forsaken islamic country and lived 30 years before immigrating to North America.
This name may have been stolen from the Hebrew word “HASHEM” which means “GOD”

when muslims conquered a country or area, people who converted, either immediately or eventually, usually took islamic names; in a similar fashion, american and british converts took “al amriki” and “al britani” as a surname (they usually change given names as well; not many named “sam,” “george,” or “fred” among them). often, the culture went away as well; look at berbers today, who as a group know almost nothing about their christian (and other non-muslim) forebears, because those cultures were totally erased, and are recoverable only using archaeology and some anthropology.

If you have time, this would be a good time to list the more prominent known attacks by Muslims on churches, temples and synagogues as well as the doctrinal basis for such attacks. If you could complete that sometime within the next decade I would be most grateful. I thank you in advance for your kindness and patience.

actually, Terry, learning the doctrinal basis of islamic attacks is not too hard; english translations of the quran and the kutub alsittah (aka al-sihah al-sittah, the 6 authentic books of hadith) are readily available on line, and are probably physically available at your local public library. if U want some guidance, robert spencer, hugh fitzgerald, christine douglas-williams (all of JW), daniel pipes, bill warner, and our own mortimer, among many others, have written good material about the pirate cult. if U want an on line tutorial, wikiislam.net is a good place to start, and another place to learn about islam is theReligionOfPeace.com (note that “religionOfPeace.com” is run by a taqiyyah-spewing pious muslim in an attempt to misguide those trying to the *THE*religionOfPeace.com, although it currently appears to be off-line).
some key concepts are that some of the quran has been abrogated; in quran 2:106, allah told muhammed that if he reveals something that conflicts with what he has already revealed, the later revelation is better. how convenient! if one puts the quran in chronological order (the traditional order is roughly from longest to shortest surah, or chapter), almost all the peaceful revelations are abrogated, quite often by quran 9:5, the “verse of the sword.” this is because muhammed spent about 13 years in mecca trying to preach his new religion, but he only got about 150 converts. after he got enough people angry with him by insulting them and their religion, he ran away to yathrib (which was later renamed to medina, meaning “city of the profit (deliberate misspelling) after the ummah made the town juden-frei), where he subsequently became a violent warlord. he took 20% of all the booty stolen from victims, and women were one the prizes he loved best. he also became a slaver, and allowed every muslim (male – the only ones who counted) to have 4 wives, plus an unlimited number of sex slaves. he, of course, was allowed to have as many wives as he wanted, and also as many sex slaves as he wanted. BTW, that begs the question: how many sex slaves did buddha, jesus, or confucius have?
i leave it as an exercise to find out how many ayat (verses) tell the muslim to hate, lie to, steal from, and kill the kuffar (unbeliever) are in the quran. there is even more of that kind of material in the kutub alsittah.
happy reading!

The above story says that the police chief notified top officials of a planned attack. However, it doesn’t say the public was warned or that the hotels and churches were warned. If not, why not?

Good question, Michael.
Mark Berlinger says
When state-owned Agence France Presse is forced to use the word “Muslim” to report attacks on non-Muslims, they intentionally mislead.
NTJ is the National Thowheeth Jama’ath, a national community of Muslims. NTJ is not a “radical” Muslim group in Sri Lanka. It’s an “observant” Muslim group. Difference.
Jacqueline Pletscher says
Sure sounds like islamic Jihad – no matter the group.
peter says
It is the duty of every observant muslim to join offensive or defensive jihad to wage war against infidels .That is the difference.

Two points:
1. So he told the top guys in some government agencies. Did he tell the targets what he knew?
2. So he was told this was coming. What actions did he take?
CRUSADER says
Leadership lacks intelligence and courage and awareness and proactive initiative.
This problem is rampant through the “elite” in modern societies. Heads are either in clouds, in sand, or up asses.
Guy Forester says
I read Peter Lance’s book 1,000 Years for Revenge. 9/11 was possible largely due to the same type of incompetence in the US intelligence and law enforcement agencies in the high up levels. My opinion is that some of the screw up was intentional.

…………….
And yet, they were still free to hit churches.

They had to bully Christians so so far away because bullying us in America is too brazen

WHY were NO ??? precautions taken after such a warning by security forces there..
