Dalia Ziada is a remarkable young Egyptian woman, who despite the incessant anti-Israeli propaganda she has been fed since childhood by her schoolbooks, and the Egyptian media, and government officials, managed to fight her way through all that propaganda to discover the truth about the demonized Jewish state and its people. This fall she was invited by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take part in a video conference with several hundred other Arab researchers and journalists, many of them outside Egypt, to discuss the origin and conduct of the Gaza War. Hearing only sanitized stories about October 7, with nothing being said about the atrocities committed on that day, and Hamas “fighters” were described as fighting only against, and overwhelming, IDF soldiers, she decided to speak out about the Hamas atrocities and, braver still, to express her sympathy for Israel. After that impassioned intervention, knowing she was under threat from Islamic jihadis, she went to the Egyptian officials to ask for assistance with security, but learned to her chagrin that the government was just as furious as the jihadis with her public remarks, and would do nothing to help her. As a result, she had to flee Egypt to a still-unidentified country in the West. She has posted several of her ruminations on Israel and the Arabs at YouTube. I the wake of the 9/11 attacks, I recall one passionate young lady in the college course I was helping teach who regarded Dubya Bush as belonging in the same league with Hitler. yet who insisted that Islam is a “religion of peace” (the then POTUS’ own words). In the HS where I now teach, I recall colleagues bending over backwards trying to portray Islam as having “peace and tolerance” baked into its DNA. Then there was someone near and dear who spoke glowingly of Islam’s “resistance to imperialism”; until I asked him how, he thought, the northern littoral of Africa, Asia Minor, and the Fertile Crescent speaks Arabic or Turkish and is Muslim in religion rather than being Christian and speaking Amazigh, Greek, Syriac, Coptic, and Armenian.
I have fought back. In teaching Government, I make it a point to note that concentrated political power is the most dangerous thing on the planet; that in the names of social justice and progress, 20th century governments killed over 170,000,000 people (more than suffered in the thirteen centuries between the Emperor Theodosius and the hangings of Thomas Aikinhead and the Salem witches. When I teach World History, I point out that the Dhimmi minorities enjoyed tolerance only as long as they acquiesced to 2d- and 3d-class status in society. While I appreciate the state’s interest in seeing that my Muslim charges are treated fairly, I have ceased to accept that Islam and the hard left must be “understood” rather than subjected to critical scrutiny.

Keep up the good fight. The most dangerous elements are those NOT subject to ‘critical scrutiny’ Western governments currently have that, but it sure appears that anything deemed to be ‘oppressed’ is not given critical scrutiny and I’m glad to hear there are some class rooms exploring the concepts. Sadly, I suspect your classroom is in the very small minority of confronting real supremacist ideology wherever it may inconveniently reside.

God bless this lady and I doubt if she will change anyone’s opinion but her attempts are to be applauded. I hope she is and remains safe from the followers of evil.

Good for her! Hope she is able to remain safe and secure, as well as spread a message that will open eyes. There is another woman, can’t remember her name off the top of my head, also Arabic, used to be a muslim, but broke away, and was able to get to America, was very dangerous for her, but she has been travelling the country for a number of years speaking out against the dangers of islam ever since…
She has a number of videos out on YouTube, and in one of them she went to great lengths to discuss the reasons we should never let anyone anyone that is a muslim into our government (at that point the damage was done, but not to the extent that is is now), and she was very convincing from both the islamic standpoint, as well as from what our Constitution stands for verses what islam stands for.
I believe both woman are very much cut from the same cloth, even though one broke away from islam entirely, as they seem to be both of them truth seekers, and both are totally unafraid to get right up there and tell the whole world like it is. Have to admire people like that that are willing to risk it all for the truth.

Thanks God for people like her who have the courage to speak out. It is easy to see why people (women in particular) are afraid to speak out against evil in the Middle East. Under sharia law, she would be long gone by now and probably never to be heard of again.
I noticed that the video was presented by The Sun newspaper – usually a radical leftie type media channel. This gives me a glimmer of hope that the truth may well out after all. Maybe The Sun could take a step further and educate their readers on the true nature of Islam, then I will start to believe what the mainstream media delivers as real news and not just leftie woke narrative.

I can’t agree with her plea to allow the Gazans refuge in other countries. They are overwhelmingly Pro-Hamas. The Egyptians and Jordanian feckless hypocrites learned this lesson a long time ago. They openly refuse their Arab brothers and sisters. The Gazan people are largely an indoctrinated people imprisoned in the mindset of a seventh century death cult. Through ignorance and hate, they voted against their own best interests which ensured their demise and oppressive imprisonment at the hands of thieving, murderous criminals who live in luxury far from the chaos they have created for their fellow Arabs. As adults, they and their poor children now face the consequences of their foolish actions.
