I am European Jewish but have always been interested in the Jews from Arab nations, the history of dhimmitude. Islamists go crazy over Jews having their own piece of turf to improve and defend. Instead of living in Arab nations, being subject to Arab domination and mistreatment. My figures show that 40% of Israeli Jews were driven from Arab nations. Thus Israel is hardly a European Zionist scheme. More like a population transfer of Paleostinians for "Arab" Jews.
Do you have a better figure than 40%?

I enjoyed your piece about the Catholic Church on Islam, but as for Islam allowing the repairing of Christian and Jewish places of worship is not true according to Islamic law in history.

In my book Onward Muslim Soldiers I detail the provisions of Islamic law that forbid Christians and Jews to build new houses of worship or to repair old ones. It should also be noted, however, that at various points in history these laws were ignored, particularly in response to healthy bribes. Thanks for writing.
