Abu Sayyaf Claims Responsibility for Ferry Blast

Fox News reports that the Muslim extremist group Abu Sayyaf claimed responsibility Sunday for a ferry explosion and fire that killed at least two people, though 180 more were missing, according to a radio report.

MARIVELES, Philippines — The Muslim extremist group Abu Sayyaf claimed responsibility Sunday for a ferry explosion and fire that killed at least two people, though 180 more were missing, according to a radio report.

The Radio Mindanao Network said Abu Sayyaf spokesman Abu Sulaiman claimed Friday's explosion was revenge for government attacks in the southern Mindanao area. Abu Sayyaf has often called the radio network in the past.

Fire raced through the Superferry 14 on Friday shortly after it left Manila for central and southern islands, killing one person and injuring 12 others. Witnesses reported a powerful explosion that sparked an inferno.

The fire occurred the same day that two alleged Abu Sayyaf members were convicted of kidnapping an American in 2000 and another was arraigned in a separate mass abduction.

Remember that American kidnapping? No? You're in good company. But Abu Sayyaf has kidnapped and even killed other Americans in the Philippines as well. abusayyef.jpeg
Before 9/11, Americans tended to slough off overseas terrorist attacks on Americans, our embassies, and even our soldiers, sailors and Marines. Such attacks were merely passing outrages somewhere out there beyond our borders, and indifference allowed our enemy to thrive and grow. With the War on Terror slipping steadily in the polls as an important issue to voters, that is something to think about.

All over the world, the most prolific mass murderers not acting explicitly on behalf of any state are Islamists. We must raise the alarm until the world understands this. You are certainly doing your part. Great blog.

All over the world, the people suffer from America, be it its capilalist greed which led to globalization, or its environmental standards which does what you can imagine, or its military power, which it used in every imaginable case to protect, or enhance its interests. Everyone knows, the chinese, the muslims, the europeans (there not on the Americans side on this war) The world at large, your speaking of having to inform people of the mass murderers, though people have eyes for themselves, many have it on America.

Glad to know you're obviously still around Ahmad, although you do seem to be avoiding writing any response to my questions directed to you in the articles: Feb 27th "muslim missionaries recruiting africans..." And feb 23rd "Taliban claim responsability..."
Yours, 'waiting avidly'
kc
(pleases respond to both - thankyou.)

P.S. as an English person and therefore a European, we were on the side of America during this war, as were the other European countries of Poland and Spain.
That is however an aside, please respond to above.

Kc- I made it clear in another post i would respond to the taliban post later, it requires a massive responce, as noting a number of rediculous verses, i check to find they were extremely altered, i spend as much time as i can here, but each post of mine takes up to half an hour, and i am trying to earn a degree, so im sorry if i cannot respond to everything, there isnt anything that i cannot respond to
Regards

Re. Ahmad:

Just as one might expect from an Islamist apologist:

"as noting a number of rediculous verses, i check to find they were extremely altered"

The old "you-cannot-possibly-understand-because- the-Koran/Hadith/Umdat-al Salik-is-not-capable-of-accurate-translation" nonsense.

Get set for a deluge of dissembling and prevarication from this fellow...

We have I believe 33 nations that are a part of this coalition in the Middle East. We are definately not alone in this fight. Just a few weeks ago, a Russian politician made the suggestion that the two enenies of the cold war, the U.S. and Russia, unite to battle Islam. Germany is coming around, France is insignificant.

China just wants to stay out of it but make no mistake, when Radical Islam makes their mark over there, the Chinese will exact revenge like no other. Don't make the mistake, Ahmad that Islam is in any way popular. The world is slowly coming to the right conclusion. America has a few whacked out politicians that kiss Islam's ass, but they are far outnumbered.

Muslims and their civil rights activists have, and continue to give us their interpretation of our Consitution, but they are heading into another loss with regard of religion taking precedence over the laws of our land.

Muslim clerics made such outlandish statements, that some of the lesser educated tend to believe their words, because of how their American hating speeches are delivered. However, we as a whole, are not fooled. Islam is a danger because of the means it will go to in order to carry out its agenda.

Notwithstanding, from an education standpoint, with everything they blow up and the people they kill, Islam is not being taken seriously as a body that can negotiate. Islam cannot continue their little bombings and be successful in telling the world that they are a peaceful religion.

Perception and reality.

Can't remember who said it, but it was something along the lines of "the islamic world has bloody borders." Undeniably true. muslims simply cannot live peaceably with non-muslims unless the muslims are in charge.

Just curious, Ahmad. Where are you from? Where are you living? And what are you studying?
