Mujahid disappointed in Iraq

From Reuters (thanks to Peter McLoughlin), a bitter tale of jihadist disappointment:

Ahmed Abdel Razzaq went to Iraq to fight the Americans and die a martyr. He ended up in a US prison camp after the Iraqis he went to defend captured and sold him for $100.

“I went to be a martyr in God’s name,” said Razzap, from poor north Lebanon, where Sunni Muslim militancy runs deep.

“I went to jihad (holy war) for the Iraqis but they are all traitors; the people, the army, the Kurds. They say Saddam was bad, but the Iraqis deserve 10 Saddams.”

Motivated by religious zeal or Arab nationalism, busloads of Arab volunteers crossed Syria to go to Iraq before and during the war.

Doesn't sound like there was a whole lot of Arab nationalism coming from Ahmed Abdel Razzaq.

$100 Well then, I see slavery certainly runs rampant in the Arab world......yet, Islam is a peaceful religion......right?

Ha! This is the funniest I have read today.

I went to be a martyr in God’s name, and all I got was this lousy (prison) t-shirt!

"...they are all traitors; the people, the army, the Kurds"

And if everybody are against you, doesnt it cause you to doubt your holy Kampf at least a little bit?

He should try Christianity for a while.

Or why not try atheism or buddhism for a while. Learn that suffering is a part of life and dont react by running around and torching your "enemies".

Aw, poor baby. Instead of winning Mussie heaven, he's won a living hell. Maybe he'll get his wish and the Iraqis will execute him after he's released.

I think he should try anything besides what leads to mass murder. There are certain religions (if you can call Islam that) and certain philosophies that lead directly to heaps of corpses. I'm sure we all know what they are. :)
