Terrorist teams stalk Manila

Trying to recreate the success of Spain in the Philippines, too. From UPI, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

At least 10 terrorist teams are in the Philippines metro Manila area to attack "soft targets," the Manila Times reported Friday.

The times quoted a "source in the police intelligence community" as saying the teams are from the Abu Sayyaf and its affiliate groups. The five or six members in each team reportedly trained in central Mindanao to prepare and set off explosives.

President Arroyo announced on Tuesday the government had thwarted a plot by the Abu Sayyaf to launch a "Madrid-level" bombing of lightly guarded shopping malls and train stations in Metro Manila. She also revealed the arrest of four suspected members of an Abu Sayyaf cell operating in the metropolis.

Police that since then, two other suspects have since been captured.

has anyone noticed that we are seeing more and more stories about all of this stuff? this increased news activity seems -- at least anecdotally -- to show an increased intensity in the terror war with more and more players coming online. they will never take america. america can only fall from within if we are not diligent enough to protect ourselves and keep a clear mind.
