How far behind is the American Intifadah. We need to eliminate immigration for 5 or 10 years. Didn't there used to be such a thing as "undesirable aliens"? I think they used to unceremoniously throw out mafia types who weren't citizens just for having bad associations.

Surely the adjective "Muslim" ought to be placed before the noun "immigration," after which there should be a full stop. But the idea of expulsion of a classic fifth column -- Islam itself requires Believers to offer loyalty only to Islam, not to the nation-state, and certainly not to any Infidels (toward them, endless hostility is required) -- especially in Western Europe, has to be considered just as seriously as the Czechs considered, and acted upon, the expulsion of the 3 million Sudeten Germans (who represented far less of a threat, in 1946, with a completely defeated Germany, than Muslims now and forever in the future will represent to the peoples, and polities, of the Bilad al-kufr, the Lands of the Infidels). However miserable and wretched and undeserving most of the current inheritors of Western civilization may be, however fetid the swamp in which we all swim, however ill-schooled we now are, there must still be some residual gratitude, somewhere, among a sufficient number of people, felt for the civilization that produced (or at least allowed the conditions which permitted them to appear) Spinoza, Hume, Piero, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Pushkin, Shakespeare, Newton, Darwin, Mozart, Dickens, Gogol, Keats, Rembrandt, Montaigne, Chateaubriand, Samuel Johnson -- and you, reader, can fill up the page with another thousand or five thousand names (should you need prompting, glance at the index to Jacques Barzun's From Dawn to Decadence, for names from the last 500,years). None of these people could have possibly appeared in the Islamic "civilisation" -- a few mosques, Mughal miniatures, the tulips of Iznik and turbans painted by Bellini -- of Qur'an and hadith, for at least a thousand years, since the influence, and actual existence, of non-Muslims in that world was completely extinguished. Not one of them, and especially not any of the painters, or sculptors, nor any of the scientists, nor any of the writers and philosophers, could have been tolerated for one minute within the world of Islam, so hellbent on regulating every feature, and of course every thought, of life, so intent on diminishing the creations of Man, so as to focus all attention on the wonder-working of Allah.

It is the non-Muslim world which has created modern science. And technologically, the West will always be superior, which does not mean that the Muslim world is not happy to enjoy, and to demand, the gewgaws and gadgets of that West. And, as the wildly-applauded speech of Mohammad Mahathir to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) made clear, the Muslim notion of intellectual creation focuses exclusively on the ability to produce advanced weaponry -- that is, to produce something not to amuse, entertain, instruct, or enlighten, human beings, but to enable them to destroy and kill their (non-Muslim) foe. That is what most Muslims think of when they think of meeting the challenge of the West. And A. Q. Khan and others, though their own societies would never have engaged in pure science, which undergirds bomb-making abilities, were quite adept at stealing, or buying, Western nuclear secrets. Saudis, Iraqis, Syrians, Libyans, and Egyptians have similarly been adept at obtaining advanced weaponry (the Egyptians with the insane connivance of the American government, which seems not to have learned from those wandering Stinger missiles handed out like confetti in Afghanistan). But military means are not the main weapon of Jihad to expand dar al-Islam. It is sheer numbers -- demographic conquest from within.

This is working in Israel, and will be successful unless, and until, the Israelis realize that further retreat is mad, and only a policy of holding every inch they now control, and working to make life less attractive for the Muslim population (which has, itself, made life so unattractive for the Christian Arabs that they have been emigrating as fast as they can), adn if that does not work, to consider expulsion -- just as the Kuwaitis did with 400,000 "Palestiains," or the Saudis did, also overnight, with 1 million Yemenis.

If Western Europe continues to lecture and hector Israel, and to inhibit its freedom of action, its really quite mild measures of self-defense, then in ten or twenty or thirty years, it will be far less able, itself, to consider certain measures that, in France, in Italy, in Holland, as a growing Muslim populaton makes life increasingly unpleasant, dangerous, and expensive (the enormous costs of monitoring that populaton), even intolerablly so, that should be considered -- and long before then. Actions are not taken overnight; there needs to be discussion, analysis, and intellectual preparation. Perhaps Western civilization is not worth saving, after all. Perhaps, if the Muslims simply reproduce in much greater numbers, and they offer da'wa and many seem -- the psychically marginal at first, then the economically marginal, seeking a new ideological vehicle for their alientation from society, then the thrill-seekers who want to be different, and then the kind of people who, before there was the option of Islam, might have joined one of the less widespread cults, or gone to find themselves in California -- well, if people want to convert in droves to Islam, it will be argued, that is their affair, now isn't it? That is how 3000 years of Western civilization can disappear: through sheer idiocy, negligence, and mental qualms about perfectly intelligent measures for self-defense.

Were Masaryk and Benes wrong in 1946 (certainly some German revanchists think so)? Was it wrong, given the history of Germany in the twentieth century, despite the fact that Germany was then completely prostrate, for the Czechs to worry about a future threat? And if it was not wrong for them, given the long history of Islam as an aggressive religion, given the permanence of Jihad and the impulse, indeed the requirement, that all Muslims work to expand the dar al-Islam and to subjugate the entire remaining dar al-harb to Islam and to Muslim rule, given the fact that OPEC oil wealth, mass migration to the lands of the Infidels, and the technological means (audiocassettes, videocassettes, satellite channels, the Internet) have changed forever the ability of Muslims to whip up large numbers of Believers who, in an earlier age, might have remained relatively placid, somnolent, uninvolved, leading quiet lives in isolated villages.

Non-Muslims, especially in the hopelessly innocent and unwary West, are under no obligation to commit civilizational suicide. The elites, especially in Europe, have been criminally negligent in their immigration policy, and cannot admit to themselves, much less their unhappy and confused populations (unhappy and confused, too, in the United States, as we keep prating about a "war on terror" and tiptoe carefully around the Jihad of which that terror is only one small instrument). Given the world-wide and ever expanding program of convertion of Infidels (da'wa, or the Call to Islam), which begins naturally with the psychically and economically marginal (John Walker Lindh representing the first, Richard Reid representing the second), and then proceeding to all of those alienated (Jose Padilla)who regard "the System" as the enemy, and what better vehicle nowadays for expressing that hatred for the circumambient society than Islam, which preaches hostility to that system, as it does, of course, to everything outside of Islam. Given that da'wa, and the fantastic overbreeding (all of those reports from Iraq, where every family seems to have 10, or 11, or 12 children -- all now being supported, it should be noted, by American taxpayers who deliberately, out of economic considerations, are forced to limit their own families' sizes).

Though Israel, the most vulnerable and most publicized victim of Jihad (which is never called such, but disguised as a "nationalist" campaign to further the "legitimate rights of the Palestinian people"), has been inhibited even from discussing mass expulsions, which has not only been bad for Israel, but terrible as well for other non-Muslim countries, for it implicates them, as well, in the idea that such measures are simply beyond the pale, cannot even be mentioned by civilized people, Israel has provided example after example of how the rest of the non-Muslim world should not behave. The Israelis, in war, have used kid gloves, and taken many casualties that they need not have taken, by refraining to use their full force or the full gamut of weaponry. One is heartened to believe that the American army will have far fewer compunctions, and will not be so prodigal as the Israelis have been with their own men, with the lives of American soldiers.
The continued farce of Israeli "negotiations" and "treaties" with Muslim states and groups (Arafat's PLO) that are required, by the laws of Islam, not to make a permanent peace treuty with any Infidels, is another example of how not to behave. If successive Israeli governments continue to act as if the central fact of Middle Eastern life, Islam, its tenets, its teachings, the actions and the attitudes it demands of its adherents, are simply to be ignored, that is their own melancholy affair (they have been beaten down, and with so many problems the Israeli establishment, formed almost entirely of people who had come from Europe, was ignorant of Islam); they failed utterly to recognize, or confront, the Jihad which, after 1967, was tarted up as something much more limited, comprehensible, and deserving, it seemd, of outside sympathy (the "plight of the Palestinain people" had an alliterative lilt, and plausible ring, for too many). And because successive Israeli governments have ignored Islam, and the basis, in Islam, for all treaties with non-Muslims -- the Treaty of Al-Hudaibiyya -- Israel, and its supporters, keep being naively enthusiastic about these endless negotiatons and "final agreements" which cannot, according to the tenets of Islam, possibly be final; they must be breached at the earliest opportunity, by the Muslim side. For if it were possible to have a final, and permanent, peace treaty with any Infidel polity, then the very basis of Islam, the central and most important of its geopolitical tenets, that which underlies the very reason for Islam as a belief-system being constructed --to justify, and promote, the Arab conquest of far more civilized, settled, wealthy, and numrous peoples -- would be undone. ONly darura, necessity, permits a Muslim state or Muslim people from not breaking a treaty -- that is, if the other side remains too powerful to attack. Peace is kept between Egypt and Israel not because of the Camp David Accords, but actually in spite of them, for though they weakened Israel considerably, and strengthened Egypt, it is still too early for Egypt to attack Israel -- darura may still be invoked by the stratoklepocratic Mubarak regime (which can also note that it would certainly lose American aid, which it sorely needs to build up its military).

Israel is an example of what Infidels should not do -- in its endless naivete, in its willingness to ignore the central fact of Islam (which some in the Pentagon, perhaps unduly influenced by their rather limited encounter with Islam -- Ahmed Chalabi and Kanan Makiya are not merely not representative men, but are positively misrepresentative men, and Turkey, or rather Istiqlal Caddesi and the Kempinski Hotel in Istanbul, and the Ministry of Defense in Ankara, are not the "real" Turkey which some of those who once worked as agents for Turkey in Washington appeared, at least initially, to believe.

Just as Israel has always faced has been an unappeasable Jihad, where the size of the country does not matter, because not a dunam or acre or square kilometer of land once part of dar al-Islam must remain in Infidel hands, so too, from within, do all the countries of Western Europe. By doing almost nothing to help itself understand or identify the sources of the Jihad against it, for many reasons, not all of them silly (it was possibly feared that to articulate the problem, might alienate such allies as first, the Iran of Reza Pahlevi, and second, Kemalist Turkey -- now that the first has disappeared, and the second less secure, Isarel's leaders -- Sharon has not a clue about this -- ought to be bolder), Israel also failed to warn the Western world about the nature of the Muslim threat (not, of course, that it was required to do so, but still-- perhaps Muslim migration would have come to a halt a decade or two earlier).

Perfectly decent people, not Le Pens, Megrets, Rautis and Haiders, if they care about their own civilization and their own posterity, if they do not want Islam, with all that its imposition implies for the idea of the individual, and for freedom of conscience and of creation -- there is no where that Islam went, not in Mesopotamia, not in Syria, not in Judea, Egypt, North Africa, nor Sassanid Persia, nor India, nor the East Indies, nor Byzantium (possibly only Visigothic Spain was not superior)-- where it did not leave a civilization in which individuals were less free to think and create. Islam is a political failure (the one "democratic" state in the Islamic world is Turkey, and only because of the Kemalist reforms deliberately and systematically designed to monitor, and constrain, in every way, Islam); it is an economic failure, with the GDP of all the Arab states scarcely equalling that of Spain -- and if the fabulous oil wealth, which is due not to any effort or entrepreneurial skill, but only to an accident of geology, were removed, the Arab Muslim states would be permanently mired in penury -- from the Infidel point of view, not a bad result; Islam as a belief-system is, in its economic expression, akin to someone on a life-support system -- the life-support system of OPEC and foreign aid; yet that moribund patient nonetheless paints its face with the maquillage the West provides, and manages to run down the hospital corridor, down the stairs, and out the door, just in time to throw a bomb or two at the perfectly healthy non-Muslims whose very health the patient both envies and wishes to destroy. economic and political failure (it is akin to a That is what is happening now, and will continue to happen; more and more wanton damage, as Muslims, hating the fact that Islam must dominate and yet it does not dominate, unable to bear the horrible truth that Islam is a failure, not a success; and absolutely incapable of realizing that for all the woes of the Muslim countries, Islam is not the solution (neither the Caliphate, nor the Mahdi), but the problem. That is what Ataturk understood, and it is what Western policymakers should figure out -- how to create the conditions in which Muslims themsleves will realize, like Ataturk, that Islam is not the solution, but the problem.

Meanwhile, we who are not Muslims and have nod esire to lose Rome and Florence, Paris and Brussels, London and Amsterdam, to a demographic conquest that should not be permitted to continue, and instead must be reversed, have every right to consider what Masaryk and Benes did, and what every state in human history has done, which is not to shirk from what must be done for self-preservation. We did not hesitate, in World War II, to engage in the mass bombing of German and Japanese cities. Why, if another sort of conquest confronts and endangers us, should we not permit ourselves to consider something as relatively mild as expulsion back to the Muslim lands from which so many of these migrants, loyal only to the umma al-islamiyya, have come? In the Muslim view, Islam "must dominate, and is not to be dominated," as Muhammad said, and every Muslim who is a real Believer devoutly believes that, and works to achieve it.

That is why all measures of self-defense, if not for ourselves, than for the civilization of which we believe ourselves to be a part, and which continues to possesss enormous powers of recuperation, must be considered. Recoiling from them, as if they simply are beyond the pale, is silly, and at this point, intolerable.
