Sadly this is not the first time "Palestinians" have fired on mourners. It seems nothing is sacred or too low for the "Palestinians".

Does anyone know the background of the victims? The children were certainly innocents. And the mother - was she a poor Jewish immigrant forced into a settlement for economic reasons or a Jewish fundamentalist? I'm sorry, but there are some definite moral issues with Israeli settlers that this forum fails to address. A large number of the Israeli settlers are not that different from fundamentalist Muslims who lay claim to parts of Spain. Until people accept that religious texts written more than a thousands years ago are nothing more than mythos, we're in for some crazy times.

Don't speak so soon, Jeff. I agree with you, but I have heard Muslims, even relatively "moderate" Westerners, support the Palestinians' attacks on children; Israel requires mandatory military service for young people who reach the age of majority.

Therefore, even a nursing infant is another "Zionazi" in training. Funny that they should hold that view of the Jews, given that they're (Palestinians) better known for ruthless exploitation of children.

The bigger moral issue, by far, is that of Palestinian "governance," if that is indeed the word for it. Any culture that celebrates those sorts of attacks is without doubt beyond any sort of reasoned dialogue and, therefore, logic would dictate that one either a) build a strong defense, such as the Israeli partition, or b) destroy the culture that inculcates its young to believe that those sorts of atrocities are pleasing to God.

The bottom line is that only democratic reform will allow for realistic peace prospects. Democracies don't go to war with each other; they debate each other to death.

Whatever moral issues there may be regarding Jewish settlements in Gaza, they certainly don't warrant a death penalty, especially as those settlements are destined to be removed in any case. Those attacks make sense only if viewed through the prism of the "Israel is illegitimate" fever swamp that is the current Arab middle east.

And yet America is called on the carpet because of a few abuses of prisoners by a handful of soldiers.

And a great nation who respects the rights of all religions apologizes to the arab world only because we hold ourselves to a higher standard of religious beliefs even though we are beguiled as infidels by the arrogance of a religion who believes they are above all others because of the teachings of the Quran.

And through all these disgusting abominable murderous crimes that are continuosly being committed by radical muslim thugs, who kill women and children and then they are embraced as somekind of heroes for their brave and monsterous acts.

Where is the individual heart and soul of these people who even send their own children to commit suicide. How can they have such dark hearts and souls?

If, in a classroom, some children were making life miserable for the other children, would the teacher take the victims out? No!! The bullies would be taken out! In my small city, Arabs go freely into shops and coffee houses. Nobody looks twice at them (well, maybe, some people look); but they are treated no differently than Jews when being checked before going into the supermarket. So, if Arabs can live among Jews here in Israel, why can't Jews live among Arabs? I'll tell you why - ANTI-SEMITISM! JEW HATRED! Their children are being raised no differently than the children of Nazis were raised. The so-called 'occupation' is a red herring. There really is no 'occupation' at the moment. They are free to manage their own affairs - if only they would. But instead of governing themselves in a normal way, hoodlums roam the streets of cities in the PA making life hell for the residents. There is no law. There is no order. Children don't play basketball or soccer. They run after the jihadists with their weapons and are used as shields. Is this the way to raise children to be normal adults??? When we Jews were restricted to ghettos we made sure to educate our children - there were classes in all kinds of subects: reading, math, music, and Torah. etc. In short, they were protected. The PA should be brought to the Hague World Court on charges of child abuse, among other charges!

Hi Catherine, I'm on your side. I'd like to blast every one of the illegals trying to enter our country right off the fence.

However, it appears that through other agencies, they're still thinking of giving these slugs amnesty. I'm quite up on the Border Patrol being shot at. For some reason or another, there is a sympathetic view of illegals by the leftys in this country, not to mention the Americans that marry them.

As far as I'm concerned, if they jump on welfare, (which shouldn't ever happen) then we are paying for them, and should have a say with regard to their fate. I know what I'd suggest.

Amnesty is a horrible idea. They broke our law to get in here, they should be punished, and then sent back to the hellhole they came from.

If the Palestinians would simply nomad themselves to Jordan, there will be less peoblems. This conflict isn't about land or boundries, it's about the arabs wanting Israel's demise. Plain and simple.

Giving up land is not going to solve any of this. All Palestinians should remove themselves from the Gaza Strip and West Bank immediately.

Actually i could mention some numbers, but as you people dont like aljazeera so why bother? I would like to mention that Israeli soldiers during their excursions into palestine take cover it women and children, although they have choppers and air support and even tanks. Why do you object when the palestinians do that. It is inhuman FOR BOTH SIDES. I would like to mention that what started the intifada in the first place was ariel sharon preaching the Aqsa Mosque. Cant you see that Israel is as into it as palestinians are?
