What did Gadahn learn from Siddiqi?

Adam Yahiye Gadahn was apparently expelled from Muzammil Siddiqi's Islamic Society of Orange County, but what I want to know is this: what did he learn from Siddiqi before that? In this AP story, Siddiqi says: "He was becoming very extreme in his ideas and views. He must have disliked something."

And then there was the mysterious arrest:

Gadahn, who was named Wednesday as one of seven suspected Al Qaeda operatives sought by the FBI, was later expelled from the mosque after attacking an employee. Records show he pleaded guilty to assault and battery charges in June 1997 and was sentenced to two days in jail and 40 hours of community service.

"He was becoming very extreme in his ideas and views," said Muzammil Siddiqi, the society's religious director. "He must have disliked something."

But what did he learn from Siddiqi before that? After all, Kenneth Timmerman has noted that:

During an anti-Israel rally outside the White House on Oct. 28, 2000, Siddiqi openly threatened the United States with violence if it continued its support of Israel. "America has to learn ... if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please, all Americans. Do you remember that? ... If you continue doing injustice, and tolerate injustice, the wrath of God will come." By "injustice," he meant U.S. support for Israel.

Siddiqi also has called for a wider application of sharia law in the United States, and in a 1995 speech praised suicide bombers. "Those who die on the part of justice are alive, and their place is with the Lord, and they receive the highest position, because this is the highest honor," he was quoted as saying by the Kansas City Star on Jan. 28, 1995.

Siddiqi first says of Gadahn, “He was becoming very extreme in his ideas and view.”

Then we find out Siddiqi is on the record calling for sharia, violence against America for supporting Israel, and praising suicide bombers.

And Gadahn was so extreme he got booted from there?

That is scary.

Muzammil Siddiqi - Islamic Society of Orange Co. is also a past Pres. of the Islamic Society of North America...still on the Executive Council. He joins the ranks of other "distinguished" former ISNA Presidents such as Siraj Wahhaj - the unindicted co-conspirator, according to NY Attorney Gen'l, M. White, of the "day of terror - plot to bomb NY landmarks". Wahhaj is a rabid supporter of blind sheik Omar Abdel Rahman. By the way, Dr. Faroque Khan of the Islamic Center of Westbury, also is a chapter President of the ISNA. He has a close working relationship with the Diocese of Rockville Center through Fr. Tom Hartmann of "Religion on the Line". Take note that the ISNA sent chapter Pres., Kareem Irfan to Hamtramck, Michigan to "mediate" the controversy over the muslim call to prayers 5x a day 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. These groups are all radical and are all connected.

Jawa~ that muslim call to prayers will be a Great way to spread instructions for Intafada. I would suggest that someone familiar with the language (and Loyal to the US) be stationed in any city that allows for it, to listen. Especially if tensions rise due to terrorism by their unholy warriors.

Good point, Gary. It shows the danger of having these mosques in Western countries hiding under the cover of "religion". They're free to say what they want inside, it's their "right", we don't have a clue what's really up. Then you get young, impressionable, confused men like Gadahn going there, hormones raging, looking for answers to life's many cryptic questions. We all know how easy it is for our kids to get messed up by the wrong crowd. We watch for that, but when off they go to some "religion" you don't think there's a problem. Most parents would probably think that's great. Until they got to know what Islam is really about. Too bad his family didn't know more about it.

What a hypocrite this Siddiqi is. Gee, wonder why he got so extreme? Such a mystery! How many more Siddiqis are there across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc. poisoning the minds of naive youth?

Posted by: Taranis at May 27, 2004 9:50 PM

Thinking for some reason his family has looney leftest ideas..both parents looked weird..ok i might cause some problesm with that comment ..but hell they sure looked like X-hippys to me

Gadahn is so brainwashed it is pathetic. He claims he escaped religious dogma by being a fanatical muslim. He is from a farm community and does not have a working class perspective of the world.

He claims to be turned off by right wing televangelist who see the Islamic movement as a terrorist one. He " knew " that was a lie in his mind and thus became a terrorist himself to prove the lie false? See how confussed this guy is. He has in fact validated the position of the right wing televangelist.

He got into heavy metal music untill he saw that as " demonic ". See this guy is anti-working class and anti-freedom. So he put down heavy metal music to pick up terrorism. And began his jihad against freedom and personal liberties.

He is not so much a traitor to the United States as he is a traitior to the human race and human liberties, personal freedoms and social progress. To hell with him. One day he will die.

Hm, let's ask the "moderate" Diabloic "CAIR"?
They'll sure "tel" us?
Arab Racism = Jihad

Islamists' Evil

Posted by: Karina at May 28, 2004 12:47 AM

Since you mentioned CAIR,check out their
latest tripe, the petition to denounce terrorism
and beheading was a flop.
Seems that 90% of American Muslims wouldn't
sign it,so now they are asking non-Muslims to
endorse a anti-bigotry petition.
They are trying to push their agenda of victim-envy ,Muslim-bashing and Islamophobia is really
wearing thin. A new ploy by these antisemites
is to bring the Palestinian issue here, they
want Bush to condemn Israel's war crime actions
in Gaza.
Funny these people don't get upset when kids
are used as shields for Hamas or Gays are murdered in the name of Islam.
I just can't see the benefit to Islam when
Palestinians parade a dead child on a board as
if it's a trophy, not much respect for life
over there and the silence from CAIR is deafening.

Goodnight, Infidels. Sleep tight. The Muslims are awake.

Posted by: Jumah at May 28, 2004 4:13 AM

*Stretches* I slept pretty darn good, Jumah, thanks!

I can see why the muslims are awake- knowing their governments have failed them, their hopes will fail them, their take on God will fail them...

Posted by: Gary at May 28, 2004 8:05 AM

Jumah...

Keep that threatening garbage up... It's what will ultimately push the citizens of this great country over the edge into waging an authorized OR unauthorized Jihad against you Muslims...

Remember the revolutionary war? We do not like people that think they can rule us by fear, force or intimidation...

We showed the British what happens when you try and bring us into submission and they were across an ocean...What do you think we will do to you, who live on our own soil??

Could you be that ignorant??

Goodnight, Infidels. Sleep tight. The Muslims are awake.

Of course you are. We flattened your training camp and you have nowhere to sleep.

Thank you, Bob, for the great laugh!

Such things as laughter, humor and smiles would not be allowed in the great shiny tho grim, morose, depressing worldwide Caliphate. Talk about the Fun Police, there ya have 'em.

You can fight fire with fire or you can fight it with water. Maybe laughter is just what's required here.

Posted by: whistling dixie at May 28, 2004 9:16 PM

Maybe when you stop hating Islam and The Moslems (I'm one of them) and open your mind to justice for all people, including the Palestinian we'll sit together and have a laugh, eh!

Posted by: Ichang at May 29, 2004 12:10 AM

Ichang, maybe when you open your mind to justice for the Sudanese Christians, and the Persian Ba'hai, and the Egyptian Copts, etc etc.

Posted by: Yeah Sure at May 29, 2004 7:46 PM

Maybe when the palestineans stop blowing up buses we can all sit down and have a laugh.
