What kind of fathers do these girls have? From the Jerusalem Post, with thanks to J:
In a similar operation in various West Bank locations, 28 suspects were detained. They included two girls, Majda Kohon, 14, and Assil al-Hindi, 15, suspected of planning a terror attack. They were arrested in Nablus along with their fathers. Israel Radio reported one of the girls had recruited the other to carry out a suicide bombing.A report on Ma'ariv's Web site quoted security sources as saying it is likely the girls had been recruited by the same terrorist who had sent teenage boys on suicide missions that were thwarted by troops several weeks ago.
The report quoted the mother of one of the girls as saying that she believes her daughter, whom she described as disciplined and who did not leave the house much, to be completely innocent.

As regular posters on this site, we are all aware of the male suicide bombers reward for carrying out his murderous plan, - '72 virgins' and 'fair skinned boys.'
But it does rather beg the question, what would the motivation for the likes of these two young girls and other female suicide bombers be?
To be part of the 72??
Posted by: kc (england) at June 17, 2004 7:41 AMIf Israel catches the fathers of these kids, they should parade them in public with their daughters' knickers on their heads, then make them drop their britches to be given forty whacks on the bare tokhes with a wooden paddle.
Posted by: kepha at June 17, 2004 8:20 AMYes I believe that the girls would have gotten the "honor" of being one of the 72....
Maybe it was "take your daughters to work day" in peaceful islamic "palestine"...bunch of sickos...any parent would kill or die to protect their child...not the pals obviously...they are so filled with hate they would blow up their own children...lots of mental health issues over there.
Posted by: USAgirl at June 17, 2004 8:43 AMSo there we have it, the intifada of the child soldier who has no established moral foundation to draw from and is influenced to die for a cause that they do not fully understand and thus never will. In America, any evidence of the abuse of a child needs no warrant.
However the theory being that the child soldier is but a misguided child and patted on the head and sent on home is a dangerous conclusion. Look at the child soldiers of Liberia and how brutal they where in that civil war.
Posted by: Mackie at June 17, 2004 9:46 AMI support a radical orthodox jewish idea of taking suicide bombers up in a helicopter, throwing them out the door, and having them explode in midair over arafat's compound. May be change cities once in a while.

Yea, you have to wonder exactly what was going through their parent’s heads, (assuming they knew what was going on.) I just can not imagine letting my child go off to murder other people and kill themselves. In islam it seems that this life is just a transition period to your real life in the great beyond, and a short period for some of them.
islam is death.
My grandmother use to tell me, “If you spent as much time actually doing the job as you do trying to get out of it, it would be done by now.” And if these Palestinians spent as much time and energy improving their own lives through honest hard work and industry as they do trying to destroy Israel and Israelis, they would be the richest people on the planet.
“Your grandchildren will be industrious ex-muslims.”

Posted by: Catherine at June 17, 2004 8:18 PMMost likely the girls had "dishonored" their families by talking to a man not of their family, or HORRORS, by having sex and becoming pregnant outside of marriage. Remember Reem Rayshi or whatever her name was, who had the hot affair with her husband's fellow Hamaser?

Posted by: Helen at June 17, 2004 11:09 PMYes Helen, what you are saying is unfortunately the truth. Most, if not all of the cases where a suicide/homocide bombing takes place, and the bomber is a female, it is due to the fact that she is in a desparate situation. Most, if not all, are given the option - you have disgraced us and our family, therefore, you can either become a "martyr" or your father or brother will kill you. What do you want to do? The woman, given the option, will sometimes choose to kill others as a Shahid. All of this is just too sick for words.
Posted by: paula at June 18, 2004 4:51 AMI read that female suicide bombers are women or girls who are pregnant and they have to blow themselves, and their unborn children up, to escape the shame.

Posted by: Citizen of the world at June 18, 2004 5:06 AMAnd I heard Jihadists are actually angry because Allah gave them tiny pee-pees.
Please, don't beleive everything you hear, Citizen. What makes you think only radical Islamic men have the capability of being zealots?
