Feds raid Saudi-based Virginia institute

Here is more news on that raid in Virginia, reported here yesterday. Note that CAIR "observed the raid." What on earth does that mean? Were they invited along by the FBI? Were they tipped off by someone? And ultimately, is there or has there ever been an anti-terror investigation that CAIR did not consider a "fishing expedition"? From AP, with thanks to LGF:

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Federal agents Thursday raided the Fairfax offices of a Saudi-based institute that served as a meeting point for men convicted of conspiring to support terrorism. A task force of federal agents, including the FBI, carried out boxes but made no arrests in the raid of the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences.

An FBI spokeswoman did not immediately return calls seeking comment Thursday.

The institute was a meeting point for a group of Islamic men who played paintball games in 2000 and 2001 as preparation for holy war, according to prosecutors. Nine of the 11 men charged in what prosecutors called a "Virginia jihad network" were convicted in federal court for their roles in the group. ...

Lawyers for the Council on American-Islamic Relations observed the raid.

"We're concerned that this may be perceived in the Muslim community as a fishing expedition," council spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said.

One last thing: why doesn't AP note that three CAIR officials have been arrested on terror-related charges in the past year or so? More fishing expeditions? Then why did Ismail Royer, who worked at CAIR during a five-year period, plead guilty to "aiding and abetting the carrying of an explosive during the commission of a felony"?

If there is anyone out there that wishes to write an essay taking apart the CAIR site (CAIR) from the point of view of its propanganda and that its REAL purpose is this from its founder:

Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." - Omar Ahmad

send it to the URL above.

I fully understand that there is the ANTI-CAIR site,
but Andrew Whitehead is fighting CAIR's actions and public statement.

Let's take apart the site.

Who cares what the muslim community think, we didn't ask them to bring their kind over here, they are the ones that provide a perfect camoflauge for terrorists to blend in with in western countries,so they ought to keep their interfering mouths shut.Plus maybe if these so called "US citizens" did a little more in keeping these extremists out of their communities or reporting suspected terrorists to the police, ANYTHING positive against terrorists at all, then maybe the US public would give a shit about their opinions but as it stands now they are no better than the terrorists themselves. Also isn't it about time CAIR were exposed for the terrorist loving filth that they are?

It's rather naive of Joe Kaufman to think that Royer would admit to being part of a terrorist entity. Did he really expect Royer to admit, "Why yes, I'm aware the group I'm affiliated with is planning on slaughtering Americans when the proper word is given. As a matter of fact I trained in Afghanistan with Al Qaeda to learn various methods of killing so I'll be properly prepared when the Jihad officially begins."

That's why they're called sleepers and why their invisible presence is so unsettling. They're here to blend in, make no waves and wait. They join the PTA, make nice with their infidel neighbors -- ingratiate themselves. They smile and wave. And because of it you're totally disarmed by their charm. It makes it much easier to kill you when the time comes. You'll invite them in -- they won't have to break into your home in the middle of the night.

It's like the guy who's married to the nice girl who one night goes nuts and murders her and her entire family. He had it in him all along -- it just took the right circumstances to bring it out.

Muslims can try to blend in with us all they want. I know enough of them to say that they hang with each other, and especially with the Somalis, only show respect for each other, while they show utter disregard for Americans, black or white.

This school needs raided, then plowed. Then, move on to the next Islamic Anti-American school, and plow it down. Repeat this process until there are none left.

Then we move to the mosks......Muslims aren't here, and it's so blatantly obvious, to mix in with us, or to better our communities, they're here to see what they can get away with. The Somalis, who were supposedly so depraved in that crap hole Mogadishu, have come here and ruined neighborhoods with their attitudes.

I've been told that these attitudes are instilled by the Saudi pukes. This is going to end up a war in our streets with the Muslims taking a substantial beating. There is growing
anti-Islamic sentiment in this country, and our Government needs to stop letting them trapse in here.

"Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences"

An oxymoron? Besides I always thought that Science had no ethnicity.

Or perhaps, like "peace" and "tolerance", the Muslim definition of the word "science" doesn't match the Western definition.

I know this is a bit off topic, but it is still relevant. Some one mentioned above about the need for immigration reform. Ireland recently had a referendum on constitutional change regarding citizenship rules. Ireland was the same as Canada and the US in this respect, if you were born on Irish soil, you were entitled to Irish citizenship and all the benefits that came with it. However, they found more and more people were coming to Ireland on tourist visas and to have their children, giving the children Irish citizenship and by extension, EU citizenship. Apparently Ireland was the only EU country that allowed citizenship under these circumstances. We in North America have the same rules, if you are born in Canada or the US, you are a citizen. I personally think this should be changed. Any comments or opinions?

To an Infidel, a Mosque is a Muslim Church..

To a Muslim, a Mosque is an Armory.

Canuck,
As I have said before on these pages, the problem isn't immigration law, it's corruption. Even if they were to restrict immigration, I suspect they would be, like us, up to their "ayes" in rich, bribing Saudis in no time. That would be ironic - after a century of being the only English-speaking country not to suffer a terrorist strike(something about not wanting to offend the certain "faith-based organizations" who have been their principle funding all these years) from the IRA, we get Saudis attacking us from a base in Ireland.

Actually, I am moved to suspect that the Irish, some of whom still honor the memory of relatives(including women who had given birth on the voyage over or even right there on the dock) that were abandoned to die on the shores of Canada after being denied entry into the U.S., and the others who remember Goering's "I decide who is Jewish and who is not",are acting out of naive, missaplied compassion.

And if you're talking about the US, since 1996, we have had the most draconian immigration laws in years (although there's no evidence that we've forced anyone out of the country to their deaths - yet)and yet, the flow, even after 09/11, of citizens from oil-producing nations is rivaled only by the hordes of women and girls being brought to our shores from Central and South America, the former Soviet Union, and Southeast Asia...to make up the labor shortfalls in the,um...,Entertainment industry.
