The US Congress calls it genocide. Beshir says it's all an anti-Muslim plot — not the genocide, mind you, but the reaction against it. From AFP:
KHARTOUM, July 24 (AFP) -- Sudanese President Omar al-Beshir has accused the international community of targeting Islam in his country as the government struggles to fend off mounting international pressure over the Darfur crisis, the pro-government Al-Anbaa reported Saturday. The paper quoted Beshir as telling supporters in the central region of Gezira following Friday prayers that the real aim of the campaign against his country was not the situation in the troubled western region of Darfur, but to derail the growth of Islam in the country.
Sudan has come under increased pressure from the international community in recent days to resolve the situation in Darfur, where the UN says at least 30,000 people have died in the 16-month-old conflict between government forces and Arab militia allies and two main rebel groups in the region.
"The international concern about the Darfur issue is targeting the status of Islam in Sudan," claimed Beshir, who seized power in a bloodless Islamist coup in 1989.
Khartoum has brushed off criticism that it is not doing enough to help alleviate the humanitarian situation in Darfur, described by the United Nations as the world's worst, and pledged to improve the access of international aid agencies to the region and the needy.
The Sudanese president insisted, however, that his government's concern for Darfur was first and foremost because of the responsibility it felt for the people before God and not aid agencies or other countries.
He said his national "salvation" government, as the regime's supporters refer to it, will continue "to adhere to Islamic sharia (law), set an example for social cohesion and bring humanity out of darkness to the light of Islam."

Beshir need not worry. The UN is 100% behind him, and his actions. The UN has to publish "fluff" to appease the masses, but in reality, it's supporting Islamic member nations do NOTHING to act against his actions, they secretly applaud them.
You may proceed with your genocide, Bashir, nobody, especially the UN, is going to stop you. Veto members like France, Germany,Russia, will loose weapon sales, and that's not good for them.
The US may take action, but you can be sure of the loony left to vehemently oppose the current government from doing so.

Can anybody get closer to saying "I am committing genocide!" than what Bashir said per the last paragraph without actually saying, "I am committing genocide?

Afraid you are right. Like Hitler, Beshir trots out 'persecution' propaganda to deflect
attention from real victims in Darfur. Not that the world believes him but no one is going to DO
anything.

So the American Crusaders attempt to concoct a justification for another punative expedition against the evil Muslims. Of course, the fact that apparently there are large deposits of oil in the southern Sudan has nothing to do with the humanitarian concerns of the world's policeman.
Why do we hear of no concern about the lynchings in America, the millions of homeless people dying in the streets, the daily attacks on innocent, inoffensive Muslims who are simply trying to go about their business in the "land of the free and the home of the brave", or the burning and vandalizing of mosques?
Your grandchildren will be Muslim.

Isn't this what even the so-called "moderate" Muslims want here in our United States? Sharia Law? So this is what the birth pangs of Sharia looks like. Yikes!

Reza said: "Of course, the fact that apparently there are large deposits of oil in the southern Sudan has nothing to do with the humanitarian concerns of the world's policeman."
Southeren Sudan is Christian, Reza. It's not killing people and commiting genocide, slavery, like the Arabs of the north are.
But, rest assured that the target of the muslim North IS Southern Sudan, and it's oil wealth.
Those battles also continue.
Allah is a rock, go kiss and rub it Reza.

Reza, isn't your signature tag, "Allahu Akbar" what those whom you might name the "magnificent 19" yelled when killing innocent Americans & internationals on 9/11?
I hope our "magnificent" intelligence community monitors these discussions, & finds out exactly who YOU are.

In Sudan there are a diference between christianism and islam, the christians donīt put bombs in la Meca, Karachi or Teheran, if two millions of muslims had been killed and not christians, New York, Paris and Moscow for example would have to pray, greetings

REZA My little Iranian Lemming
Shouldn't you be bum up,at prayers! Sorry to hear you don't like living in the Land of the Free.Guess they don't like you either so I've got
a good suggestion. You can join Janjaweed in Sudan. Spread the peaceful message of Sharia to ignorant natives while you capture them to serve you as slaves. Islam has been doing this for 1,400
years but only to enlighten Infidels and bring them to the blessed peace of Islam. My, you are all heart...
Have a nice day.

Reza, you are a misguided, mini-minded, maniacal moslem. And, as usual, you try to spout your djibberish here.
"Why do we hear of no concern about the lynchings in America, the millions of homeless people dying in the streets, the daily attacks on innocent, inoffensive Muslims who are simply trying to go about their business in the "land of the free and the home of the brave", or the burning and vandalizing of mosques?"
How Could anyone "hear of no concern about" . . .?
WHAT LYNCHINGS IN AMERICA???? (well, at least a lynching keeps the head attached to the body!)
MILLIONS OF HOMELESS PEOPLE DYING???? (In Muslim countries, you betcha!)
INNOCENT, INOFFENSIVE MUSLIMS????? (now that is an oxymoron!)
GOING ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS???? (Sending 2.5% of their earnings to al Qaeda, et al!)
BURNING AND VANDALIZING OF MOSQUES???? (Your term for the house of Satan
Maybe because it is only happening in your worst nightmares.
Oh, wait, you ARE winning us over to Islam and the devil, right?

Reza is blind (knowingly) as well as dumb.
No matter what he says about western society, you can multiply it tenfold, plus add many more things.
Freedom of religion in the ME? - no.
Equality for women? -no
Sumerary executions without trial?- yes
Slavery? -Yes
democracy? - no
Homelessness?- yes
high crime? -yes
homosexual activities (x10)? -yes
widespead sexualy transmitted disease? -yes
That is a small sample of Islam, and what Reza thinks is "good".
Notice reza runs when I show up. It's because he can not hold a rational and resonable debate with me.
He cannot defend his rock god, or pedophile prophet (spit on them) because they are neither a god, or prophet.
The Clerics who wrote the koran made man-made errors, and they cannot be defended.
Yahweh did not make such mistakes.
There is only one Trinity (God) reza, and your "lover of darkness" moon god doesn't fit in.
You worship Satan, the deciever, but your just too dumb to realize it. You've condemned your soul.

One paragraphe in the following article on bbc.com is disgusting and appalling. It is reporting about an internet virus called bin-laden, and in the article it says (exact copy, paste)
"The message is designed to entice recipients to open a file that unleashes malicious software code.
The founder of al-Qaeda is blamed by the US for a string of attacks, including those of 11 September 2001."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3923705.stm
Blamed by the US!!!
It is sickening that in todays environment, bbc or any other news organization still does not directly attribute 9/11 to bin-laden.

It has been suggested more than once at this website that American forces could seize, with very little effort, all of the southern Sudan -- and now Darfur, and hold them, as a humanitarian effort, until such time as the local populations can hold a referendum on independence from the Arab north. The belief that the massacres in Darfur, or the slow-motion massacres in the south, will ever stop unless there is military intervention is ludicrous.
It is also ludicrous to treat the United Nations as a serious organization. Its record of moral idiocy and criminal negligence by now surely surpasses that which earned the League of Nations the contempt of all educated people, and led to its collapse and abandonment.
No matter how many times the Special Rapporteur for the southern Sudan, Gaspard Biro, has attempted to rouse Western attention, the Muslim forces that control the United Nations, and are overrepresented in its bureaucracy as well as controlling the only two remaining solid blocs at the U.N. -- the Arab League, the O.I.C. (Organization of Islamic Countires), as well as exercising control, through the influence of the Euro-Arab Dialogue and its baneful effects both on how Europeans are so wildly misinformed both about the Jihad against Israel, and generally, about the tenets of Islam, and the attitudes and atmospherics that those tenets create among not only fervent Believers, but among even the tepid inhabitants of Muslim countries who are affected by those attitudes and atmospherics.
That being the case, it would make sense to exploit the hopelessness of the U.N. and its continued inaction. To those, by the way, who believe that the word "Jihad" may apply to the Arab Muslim attack on the southern black Christians and animists, but that the word is inappropriate to describe the situation in Darfur. There are two things to note about this comfortable assumption that this is "merely" an ethnic conflict because, we have been told, the residents of Darfur are themselves also "Muslim." It is true that their brand of Islam is that of the countryside, more syncretistic, less "pure" and more akin to that which one associates with the marabouts of West Africa, and the more tolerant version of Islam that is practiced -- despite Islam itself, not because of it -- in Mali. But in the eyes of the Sudanese government, this Islam is not "Islam" precisely because the Sharia has not been imposed.
But there is another classci feature of Islam that on display here. Islam owes its origins to the need, by Arab pagans, to supply themselves with a belief-system that would both promote and justify their conquest of other peoples, predominately Christians and Jews and Zoroastrians at first, who were fare more advanced, wealthy, and settled -- in every respect -- than the pre-Islamic Arabs (or, indeed, than the Arabs after they submitted to Islam). The belief-system, which consists of elements of Christiantiy, Judaism, and pre-Islamic Arab pagan lore from the time of the "Jahaliyya" or Ignorance, that eventually become codified in Qur'an and those hadith which were later examined for their supposed authenticity, to be determined by such things as the chain of transmission, or isnad, which would make them more, rather than less, worthy of being fully accepted as true.
Islam from its earliest days, as Ibn Warraq, and Anwar Shaikh (who has written a whole book on Islam as Arab imperialism), Ali Sina, and many other ex-Muslims -- and even some non-Arab Muslims -- have recognized that Islam has been the vehicle for Arab imperialism. It requires non-Arabs to learn, or at least to read and attempt to memorize, large amounts of Arab text. It requires them to bow toward Mecca in Arabia five times a day. It requires them to look to the example of the Prophet and His Companions -- to the custom, or Sunna, of inhabitants of 7th century Arabia. All of this causes non-Arab Muslims to regard themselves as worthier if they can establish a supposed Arab lineage. Hence, for example, many Pakistanis call themselves "Sayeed" which is a word signifying descent from the Prophet (many of the kings and pashas and beys of the Muslim world have managed to find a way to claim descent from the Prophet, from Mohammed of Morocco, to Feisal of Iraq, to Hussein of Jordan) -- akin, one might say, to someone fresh off the immigrant boat at Ellis Island trying to convince one and all of his Mayflower antecedents -- but a hundred times more important.
The rapes, looting, murders in Darfur are directed, as has been amply documented, at the blacks because they are black. But this is not an anomaly; it fits into the long Arab Muslim tradition of contempt for the "mawali" or non-Arab. When Arabs deny to Berbers the right to use the Berber language, and attempt to suppress Berber culture --and they have; when Arab Muslims under Saddam Hussein murder 182,000 non-Arab Kurds and name the campaign Al-Anfal after a Qur'anic sura, and not a single Arab country or figure of note protests this killing -- and they have; when everywhere in the Arab lands non-Arabs, even if Muslim, are reduced to a second-class status, as they are, for example, everywhere in their treatment in Saudi Arabia, in the U.A.E., and in the other Arab sheikhdoms of the Gulf -- and they are; when non-Arab Muslims as in Malaysia bitterly complain about "Arab cultural imperialism" -- and they do; when Arabs treat non-Arab Muslims as people whom they may order about as they wish, the way the Arab Al Qaeda members were reported to have lorded it over the Afghanis, and even Afghani members of the Taliban -- and they did; well, when all of this happens, we begin to see a theme in the history of Islam. The intellectualachievements, such as they were, in high Islamic civilization, when not to be attributed to those from whom certain discoveries were borrowed (the Hindu mathematics and concept of zero; the Chinese invention of paper), nor from the talented translators, mostly Christians and Jews, who translated Greek texts first into Syriac, thence into Arabic, were primarily those of the Persians and Indo-Mughal culture, not from the Arabs themselves. Yet the Arab version of Islam appropriates to the Arabs all of the achievements of the copied Hindus, and Chinese, of those Christian and Jewish transators, of those non-Arab Persians. Even the celebrated Kurdish warrior, Saladdin, he of Tikrit, the reconqueror of Jerusalem, has been described, and not only by Saddam Hussein, as an Arab.
So the situation in Darfur is one of ethnic cleansing -- yes, but it is also, like the Jihad against the non-Muslim blacks in the southern Sudan, a campaign deeply rooted in the historical treatment of non-Arab Muslims by the Arabs.

Well folks Reza has begun to post over at Little Green Footballs and is getting his ass handed to him. I hope he continues to tell everyone that he comes into contact with all about how Islam is going to rule us. You know I remember someone else saying much the same thing- Nikita Khrushchev said that the U.S.S.R. would "bury" the west. Where is the U.S.S.R. now? I hope I live long enough to see this latest version of world domination on the scrap-heap of history.

Iraqis Reportedly Discover Nuclear Warheads (I don't know if this is true or not)
Iraqi security reportedly discovered three missiles carrying nuclear heads concealed in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad, official sources said Wednesday.
The official daily al-Sabah quoted the sources as saying the missiles were discovered in trenches near the city of Tikrit, the hometown of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
"The three missiles were discovered by chance when the Iraqi security forces captured former Baath party official Khoder al-Douri who revealed during interrogation the location of the missiles saying they carried nuclear heads," the sources said.
They pointed out that the missiles were actually discovered in the trenches lying under six meters of concrete and designed in a way to unable sophisticated sensors from discovering nuclear radiation.
The sources said al-Douri, who is related to former Vice Chairman of the Iraq Revolution Council and Saddam's right-hand man Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, was captured after Iraqi police intercepted an e-mail message in which he set a meeting with another former Baath official.
The report could not be authenticated by the interior ministry or the national security department, but the paper noted Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zibari made a surprise request recently to Mohammed el-Baradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to resume inspections for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Raisin, the fact that we may have to go into Sudan and whip more radical Islamist ass doesn't have anything to do with oil. What is has to do with is the fact that the Arab racist Muslims are even slicing up African Muslims.
Do you freaks have a shread of common sense? We all know that your drunken false prophet says that it's alright to lie, and I must admit, you Muslims have become masters at lying and making completely baseless, outlandish remarks in an attempt at deception and diversion.
Trouble for you is, the world has seen the hospitals where women and children in Sudan have been raped, and dismembered.
The world, every day, looks at you and wonders how excrement, after being dumped out, can get up and walk around, swinging machetes. You and yours are a modern day miracle.
Walking, talking, lying, murderous, illiterate feces. That's what the world thinks of the "Religion of Peace".......

Reza,
Funny, but I grew up in the American South, and I've only heard of one event similar to what most of us consider a lynching in over 30 years of being there. Hardly an epidemic.
Compare this to stories last week of Arab Muslims burning African Muslims and Christians alive.
Which culture is the more barbaric?
