Including, according to another report, a six-year-old child. Note the curious assessment in this report: it was Al-Qaeda, but it wasn't religious. From VOA News:
Two synchronized explosions near a religious school in Pakistan's largest city have killed at least eight people and injured dozens of others.Sindh Province police chief Syed Kamal Shah says the two explosions took place Sunday evening, close to the Jamia Islamia Binori Town religious seminary.
"Two explosions. One was in a motorbike and one was in a bicycle," he said. "The injured have been evacuated to the hospital."...
The Jamia Islamia madrasah is a Sunni religious school noted for its modern curriculum, which includes computer classes, and for its international student body.
Sectarian violence between extremists of the Sunni and Shia religious sects is not uncommon in Karachi.
But provincial government adviser Salahuddin Haider says the attack was probably not religious in nature.
Instead, he says, the culprits are likely members of international terror groups, such as al-Qaida, which he says hope to destabilize Pakistan by encouraging religious violence.
"It was an attempt to incite a particular religious group. I am happy that the leaders [of the madrasah] have given a statement saying that, 'We are being provoked,'" said Mr. Haider.

Encourage religous violence among their own?
Religion of Peace? Hmmm.
And here's a Very good idea, which needs to get into circulation around Washington: A Billion dollar bounty on Bin Laden. Sounds like too much? Read on!

Well, Naseem our latest Muslim friend on this forum, did say 'Pakistan was going ahead', sounds more like'exploding heads to me!!Of course it's sickening that kids or anyone else is being killed
in this way but this is Pakistan and all Muslim countries' responsibility. Reckon it is time for West to stop apologising they are rich and let ALL Muslim Lands take RESPONSIBILITY for Overpopulation,Poverty and Violence. As we all know, common denominator is their awful Death Cult
and superstitious total submission to Allah. Unless they do something drastic about it, they'll
go on being poor and backward...

"Not religious" may mean not Shia-Sunni, or just that alQ is not regarded as a religion-based group. Outside Saudi Arabia Wahhabism, whatever it may call itself, is regarded as heretical - but its money for building and staffing mosques, schools, and medical facilities means it is tolerated and even respected.
Pity.

As long as they kill each other nobody should try to stop them....or better yet, intel operations should be conducted with the sole purpose to incide the two groups against each other and keep them busy, not only in Pakistan but throughout the islamic world.

No I'd say if it's Al Qaeda it's more islamic than religious (i.e- terrorist occultism).

I can't understand this Sunni and Shia rivalry. Don't they love all their "muslim brothers"?
And then there's the genocide of black muslims in Sudan.
Don't they love all their "muslim brothers"?
And then there's the constant deaths of Iraqi civilians and police.
Don't they love all their "muslim brothers"?
And then.... etc...etc.
