Says the police spokesman: "This appears to be a very unusual and untypical incident." Hmm. He seems to have forgotten that the 9/11 hijackers, and the Bali bomber, and killers from the Philippines to Nigeria, have been seen reading the Qur'an. The idea that this is something different from those attacks because there was only one attacker and two victims is unfounded; it is most likely that this man had the same motives that jihadists do around the world. A WOMAN was killed and another is fighting for her life after a knifeman went berserk in broad daylight in a Greater Manchester street.It is believed the woman killed was attacked first by the man, who was carrying what appeared to be a kitchen knife with a six-inch blade and had been seen reading from the Koran....
He said: "We were all chatting in the street and this lad came running around the corner saying `Help me, there is a lad stabbing this girl'.
"When we got round there the girl was lying on the ground. There was this fella and we saw him stab this older lady. We shouted at him `What are you doing?' He then came for us and he was pretty close, then he got hit by a car."
It is understood police were first called to the scene by a man who reported seeing a man with a knife and reading from a book.
Police arrested a man at the scene and officers cordoned off the area, which today remained closed as forensic experts checked for evidence.
Chief Supt Brian Wroe, head of Salford Police, said: "It is a tragic set of circumstances and our thoughts are with the families of the victims at this time. There is a man in custody and at this stage we are not seeking anyone else.
"This appears to be a very unusual and untypical incident. I would like to reassure the local community that officers are working to get to the bottom of the circumstances and that people should continue to go about their daily business."

He's right it is untypical actually.
Usually they hijack schools, planes, and blow themselves up in the proximity of innocent women and children.Using a knife, now that is untypical, perhaps it's to with the fact that as time goes by muslims devolve rather than evolve and their choices of weaponary become more primitive along with their thoughts.
That's cool we'll soon nail the islamonazis.

What a sorry piece of anti-Islamic propaganda this article is! In the first place, the second woman was stabbed in self defense when she leaped from her car and attacked the man who had the knife.
As far as the so-called "attack" on the younger woman is concerned, what do we know of the circumstances? Was she a relative or otherwise known to the man? Did she perhaps attack him first, either physically or verbally? Was she perhaps shrieking blasphemies and obscenities that enraged the man? Was she dressed indecently or otherwise provoking him?
Finally, how do you know that the man is Muslim? Do non-Muslims read the Quran? And how do you know the book in question was a Quran?
Let's try an alternative explanation. The man was peacefully reading the Quran when he was confronted or attacked by the first woman. When he was forced to defend himself, the woman was either purposfully or accidentally stabbed. The second woman leaped from her car and attacked him. Again, she was injured in self defense. A third person then bravely assulted the man by driving over him with a car.
Again, how do any of you know what really happened? In your ignorance, you just spew hatred based upon your prejudice and bigottry. Truly such behavior is disgusting.

This was one of those "lone wolf" attacks that the media aren't interested in. They can't ignore or hide the terrorism by big shot groups like Al-Qaeda, Jamaah Islamiya, the Chechens, even though they'd like to. These "lone wolf" attacks are easier to sweep under the carpet, explained away as random everyday murders. Like the LA airport attack on the El-Al counter. Just an average nutcase apparently. Move along, nothing to see here. Desperately trying to hide the fact that Islam is waging war on us infidels. Don't want to offend the minorities, especially the valuable Muslim vote. It's maddening.

I've finally nailed Reza.
Observe how he always posts inflammatory comments to stories which have no ambiguity whatsoever, such as this one. He always comes on to spout various idiotic statements, playing Devil's advocate, or "Allah's advocate," if you will. Now this is his most transparent post I've ever seen, sheer belligerence just for the sake of it.
But what bothers me the most is his statement a few weeks ago when he said that dead U.S. soldiers should be buried in the Najaf cemetery so they could go straight to heaven. You know what, people? A real Muslim would NEVER utter any such thing. Remember -- this is suppposed to be a holy place where the Shia founder Ali is buried. No way would any Muslim want his holy sites defiled by us unclean kafirs.
Either Reza is an anti-Jihadist working a little bit overzealously to get people riled up, or he's a lonely, bored, pathetic individual who plays the troll for attention.

But the suggestion IS worth thinking about, isn't it?? All those American tombstones, each one either a cross or a Star of David......in the cemetery of Najaf. It could be just like the one in Normandy!! After the war is long over, Americans making pilgrimages to what were once the bloody battlefields of Iraq...
Of course, by this time the Shrine of Ali would be an American run museum.....or maybe even a Christian church!! You do know the history of the Hagia Sophia, no?

Let me put it to you this way, Reza. Just so we don't have any misunderstanding of where I stand.
In the New Testament we are told that the way to identify a deceiving spirt (IOW, a Devil) is that they do not confess that "Jesus is Lord." We are also warned that "Even the Devil may appear as an angel of Light"
Now your Mohammed was approached by an "Angel" who demanded that he recite, and so wrote the Qu'ran - which denies the Lordship of Jesus the Christ.
I submit to you then, Reza, that while it is true that Mohammed was approached by an Angel, this was not an Angel of Light, but infact an Angel of Darkness - one of the servants of the Satan, if not - I believe it's "Iblis" for you all - Satan himself.
Therefore, in my opinion, Islam is the only true Satanically inspired religion known today, worse than Pagans.
