The family of Ken Bigley and the Muslim Council of Britain are working in Baghdad to save the poor man's life. From the New York Post:
September 25, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — Britain took its desperate campaign to save the life of hostage Kenneth Bigley directly to the streets of Baghdad yesterday, distributing 50,000 leaflets carrying a message from his anguished family for help. The pamphlets were being handed out in the western part of Baghdad, near where the 62-year- old civil engineer was captured from his home — and where the headless bodies of his two American housemates and co-workers were discovered."This is a personal appeal from a family whose son is missing," the message written in Arabic says on the leaflets, according to the British Foreign Office.
"A family man called Ken Bigley is being held somewhere in your community. We are Ken's family. Ken's mother, brothers, wife and child love him dearly," the leaflet continued.
"We are appealing for your help. We are waiting for him to come home."
The leaflet gives a phone number of the British Embassy in Baghdad and urges anyone with information to call.
The Muslim Council of Britain also announced it was sending a team of negotiators to Baghdad to try to gain Bigley's freedom.
"We are calling on those who have taken him to please return him to be merciful. Our religion, Islam, does not allow us to harm the innocent," said the group's spokesman, Inayat Bunglawala.
Will that argument really wash with the Tawhid and Jihad group? Do they really think someone like Bigley is innocent, and that Islam forbids them to kill him? I think at this point, given all that has happened over the last few months, anyone who actually believes that is quite severely out of touch.

One of the awful things about this whole disgusting business is the way the terrorists have played politics with their victims. In an effort to drive a wedge between the US and Britain the jihad scum have deliberately kept Ken Bigley alive after murdering the two Americans. Thanks to the dhimmitude of our media their tactic has worked. The BBC and Channel 4 have consistently blamed the USA for the situation rather then the terrorists. Bigley's leftist brother, with gleeful coverage from the BBC, has openly condemned Bush and Blair for the situation in Irag and has said the US "scuppered" his brother's release. The media have, of course, ignored the Jihadist nature of the kidnappings and beheadings while making it seem that the British hostage is more deserving of life than the two Americans. Indeed the agony of the American deaths has almost been forgotten by the UK media and Bigley's brother talks of the "decency" of the kidnappers. Beam me up Scotty....

One of today's papers here in the UK has run a story that Abu Abdullah, the spokesman for muslim cleric Abu Hamza (the Hook), told 150 Hamza supporters outside Finsbury Park mosque that the kidnappings and beheadings were "absolutely justified". His comments are of course not surprising - what is surprising is that week in week out this Islamic scum hold their hate-sessions in the street of England's capital and no-one protests against them. Tens of thousands of right-wing nutters demonstrate for the "right" to tear small, frightened foxes to pieces, thousands of left-wing morons demonstrate against the BNP or the war in Iraq and yet these mosleems can preach the destruction of our whole society and culture and no-one does a thing about it. When the Church of England was discussing the gay priest issue hundreds of gays picketed various churches yet here are a mob of muslims who call for the "execution" of gays and not a whisper from the gay protesters. If any of you are gay or have gay friends take a look at abushkar33's posts on the "Beheading DVD Top Sellers In Baghdad" story on this site and see what an Islamic future would mean for you. EVERYBODY WAKE UP !!!!!

I thought all along these murderers weren't
Muslims, now Islamic cleric's can visit these thugs and use the Quran to seek the release of
a hostage through verses by Allah given to Muhammed.
If Bigley's brother is so sure the terrorist will honor their claim to free his brother
if the infidels pull out of Iraq, then lets see him offer to trade places to show he truely trusts the Islamists to keep their word.
Blair and Bush aren't the problem,it's the Quran..stupid!

this behaviour demonstrates lack of understanding all the way around. by refusing to acknowledge that the jihad exists and/or springs from theology defended throughout the islamic world, the media, politicians, and citizens are boggled by the seemingly irrational behaviour of the enemy
kind of reminds me of sadr -- so many thought he would no longer be a problem after leaving najaf, and yet, we now fight his minions in baghdad. for any regular reader of this website, the behaviour of sadr and tawhid & jihad is quite expected as they follow a totalitarian script that is not a hidden secret

It is sad, seeing the family of a hostage held by Islamic terrorists appeal to the humanity they believe they have in common with Moslems.

The terrorists are so reminiscent of villains in some science fiction books and movies. In them, the spooky villains "feed" on strong negative emotions such as fear. They do whatever they can to provoke the emotion in question, and then grow stronger on it. The usual solution is to turn off the emotions so that the villains will starve to death.
It is impossible for the loved ones of kidnap victims not to grieve, but it should not be impossible for them to understand that there is no way that the victims will be freed. That being said, the media should refuse to broadcast the pitiful efforts of the families to persuade the terrorists, since it only turns them on, and having committed one atrocity, they will only seek another victim to satisfy themselves with. The sexual analogy is impossible to ignore, and these rotters wouldn't be the first to get sexual pleasure out of inflicting pain and anguish.
The only solution is to make it very difficult for the terrorists to succeed in their kidnapping efforts, and easy for the victims to be found if the terrorists succeed.
Let's get those homing devices implanted!

Those murdering lower than scum pond life form hoisting such grief upon the families of the hostages do not qualify as human life form. They must revel in glee to witness the pain and anguish they see the families suffering. Of course that's their goal isn't it.To create as much pain and suffering as possible. To arouse the passions of the hostages country of origin to make demands of their leaders to withdraw from Iraq.To continue to do such inhumane acts to innocent civilians in the belief their[hostages] countrymen will rise up against their governments and insist they get out of Iraq. And sad to say the ploy may be getting some traction for moments ago I got a glimps of this news item: Blair; "our government is getting a lot of pressure"..../ I know there are a lot of things governments do behind the scenes in circumstances like this but I don't know if anything can be done to have the life of mr Bigley spared,if he isn't already dead.

Bible vs. Qur’an
The Qur’an says
"And slay them (the infidels) wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out, for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter". 2:191
So they can kill anyone they say is an unbeliever
The Bible says
Num 35:29 So these things shall be for a statute of judgment to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
Num 35:30 Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses. But one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.
Num 35:31 And you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death. But he shall surely be put to death.
Num 35:33 So you shall not defile the land in which you are. For blood defiles the land. And the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of him that shed it.
Num 35:34 So do not defile the land which you shall inhabit, in which I dwell. For I Jehovah dwell among the sons of Israel.
We shouldn’t defile the land of Iraq, so that means we have to KILL the KILLERS!

Son of Albion,
Thank you for continuing to pound the BBC. I read every post with delight. I feel such disgust at the BBC's betrayal. I think it has to do with my having trusted them and looked to them for reliable news and information when I was younger; although I am American, I think I viewed the BBC as kind of an old friend I could trust. Now that old friend wouldn't care if I died a slow death at the hands of murderers, murderers who want to destroy everything I value and love; in fact they help our murderers along with subtle pats on the back.
Please keep fighting.
Best,
JTF
