Glitches galore

Thanks again for all your kindness and support. With your help I will be able ultimately to solve these problems, but right now the bugs just keep multiplying:

1. No improvement yet on the problem that makes it difficult to post. If the system tells you to sign in after you have written a comment, copy your message and sign in again. It should work after a few tries. I am sorry for the inconvenience. (Also, please note: this is not a hate site, and was not meant to be. This is a site in defense of universal human rights in the face of the gravest threat those rights face today. If you think all Muslims are evil people, or your idea of a solution to the global jihad is somehow to kill all Muslims, please don't post. Comments are unmoderated and so such posts may slip by me, but they are unwelcome.)

2. I just recently asked people to direct their emails to me to director@jihadwatch.org, but now that address is hanging up messages I send; ten are waiting to go now. I am not giving up on this, as I hope it is a temporary problem. And I seem to be receiving messages with no problem. So if you just want me to see something or have a link, please send it there. But if you are looking for a response from me, for now please write to spencer952@hotmail.com. This is only temporary (I hope).

3. For some reason, Amazon seems to be telling people that I am not accepting donations. In fact, as you may know, just the other day I put out a call for donations. Nor will Amazon allow me to access my account. Emails to them have so far gone unanswered, but I am sure we will work this out. In the meantime, if you would like to donate, please use Pay Pal. And again, many thanks.

Ok Guys, after reading this I thought I'd be honest as to why about a month or so ago I stopped posting here for a while.

I've never liked the "Nuke Mecca" "Kill all Muslims" comments, and a while ago it had seemingly become more of a theme.

One Sunday at my Church, we were in the middle of praise and worship, I looked around and saw ex - Shias from Iran lifting their hands and singing to the One True God. Earlier in the week we'd had an evangelistic meeting, and one Yemeni lady who we've been in contact with for over a year, who has resisted becoming a Christian for all that time due to fear, when the alter call was given, turned to my friend and said; "He's calling my name, Jesus is calling me." And with that, in the front of other Muslims who weren't responding, she walked down to the front and accepted Jesus.

The only answer to Islam is the living reigning Christ.

Take Walid Shoebat, Surely the greatest testimony to God is a transformed life, not a dead one.

Am I saying then, that the likes of the Beslan hostage takers didn't deserve their end? OF COURSE NOT! As Jesus said (and I've repeated many times here) "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword"

But your average 'Joe Blo' Muslim walking the streets of my country actually doesn't have those ideals.
More likely he's probably very hospitable and very open to discussing his religion and yours.
If he's a non-Arab, chances are he's never been able to understand the Qur'an anyway, just recited it parrot fashion.
Its with these types of Muslims in mind that I oppose the "kill them all" comments.

No life is too far gone for The True God to reach and transform.

Sorry if I've rattled anyones cage, It was not my intent.

Regards everyone,
Kc.

Not a prob, KC. I for one do Not believe all muslims are evil; I Do believe if there are any disasterous consequences to muslims, it will be brought on by the Jihadists and the muslim governments that back them.

Mr. Spencer, I still have to wonder if someone isn't trying to muck up your site. That, or the commenting is growing beyond your bandwidth? (Catherine! Maybe only 10 surras, instead of 100? :P )

I think that some-one might be trying to sabotage you. Just a thought.

Posted by: Voltaire [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 30, 2004 7:59 AM

KC, I totally agree with you... this may sound hypocritical as I'm one of the "nuke mecca" (but you wouldn't change me would you)....

But I only say such things when I'm pissed off and disgusted at islamic terror and the way many still choose to ignore it, and deliberately vent my anger by comming out with extreme comments and hopefully upset some extrem thinking muslim who may be reading it.

I know stooping to their level is probably the wrong way of doing things, but sometimes I think what the hell, lets speak a language they'll understand.

I have also lived among muslims (in Nottingham), and while I agree that you're "average Joe muslim" may be more concerned with his/her family, how to bring his/her kids up, I still think there's a hugh problem within the whole muslim community:

The silence instead of condemnation, and helping the authorities root out the evil/extreme ones among them ( if the extremists are "hi-jacking the religion", and being "un-islamic" as they say, aren't they angering allah??? Aren't they offended by such deviation of their religion??? And most of all isn't this tarnishing the image of islam as a "peaceful religion" that they are so desperate to uphold??? If so then these extremists should be every bit the enemy that we are!!!

You are also right that the main jihadists are of arab origin, but Pakistanis have a huge part to play in it also, baring in mind that most muslims in the UK are Pakistani, Kc, trust me I've been in jail with them, I've lived among them, I've seen how they talk about us in their own languages, and stick together , giving infidels funny/hateful looks. They may not be able to read the arabic of the original Q'ran but they damn well aware what jihad means and who the infidels/kaffir are.

I say again Kc I'm aware that many, perhaps most muslims are against any kind of violence, but one things for damn sure, if ever the demographic conquest of Europe was taken to the next level, whose side do you think the moderates will be on... Certainly not ours, and even if they didn't get involved in the violence they'd help their muslim brothers in any other way possible, and all tyo acheive the same goals.

I know you are a pacifist Kc and I love you for it, but while islamic extremism exists there will be no peace (you of all people are aware how much violence is directly related to islam allover the world), the moderates need to side up with the winning team, and start reforming the "corrupt" muslims, or they too are our enemy.

Talk of a "living reigning Christ," and a "True God" sounds too much like the talk of the fanatics most visitors to this site so revile, although granted I am unaware of any Christian movements that talk about anihilating "unbelievers".

waterdragon;
I am aware that a lot of people here are not Christian, but quite a few are, I (obviously!) am and so that is reflected in my comments.

A true fundamental Christian poses no threat to the world, That title should mean they fundamentally follow the teachings of Jesus, ie fundamentally believe in simply 'wiping the dust off their feet' when someone wont hear them, fundamentally believe in 'loving their neighbour' where ever they're from; fundamentally believe in laying their life down for their friends etc. etc.

My use of itallics hopefully infers that I am aware that some who take that title are...well...'nut jobs' to say the least. Thankfully the general consensus of my friends and family wouldn't warrent me being put in that category.

My use of the phrase 'One True God' is to differentiate from Islams God 'Allah'.

And..well...Jesus does reign, I can't tell it any other way whether people believe it or not.

Anyway, I'm going back to work!

Regards everyone,

KC

I greatly admire and my life has been positively affected by great Christians like Mother Teresa and others who understand Christianity is a religion of service to others. However, with all due respect to kc and others I agree with the watherdragon.

Having been an active Christian for almost 30 years in a wide variety of churches and denominations I have seen a lot of weird things. There are radical Christians and radical Christian organizations. They just aren't as numerous, large, active, or insane as the Islamists radicals. You have everything from abortion clinic bombings and killings to white supremacy groups. You also have the people like Robert Tilton, Jim Baker, Paul Crouch, (the list goes on) who are prey on poor desperate people with their prosperity gospels and fake faith healing. They rake it in by the millions while many in their flocks struggle to keep body and soul together. But I would rather put up with this type of nonsense than homicidal maniacs whose brilliant military tactic is suicide bombing.

Luke outlines the correct Christian response to calls for blood.
52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

You shake the dusk off the old sandals and go.

The secular organizations of the government and national defense are there for the defense and well-fare of the population of this country irregardless of religion. People who threaten violence against their neighbors need to remember that hate crimes carry a heavy penalty.

The fight against Islamic Jihad cannot be allowed to become perceived as a war between religions. If it is, then a tremendous amount of resistance will be generated against the fight against Islamic terror.

The only answer is to keep the perspective secular, nonpartisan (from a religious standpoint) and one that addresses the human rights issues rather than any cosmic truth that might be being missed. Really, isn’t that the best way to approach it? Otherwise it is simply too subjective and arbitrary for everyone to relate to.

Regards,
fg

Kc,
I think what some of the atheists that come here are worried about is this site being mistook for a christian extremist site, when nothing could be further from the truth.

For example if a niave liberal, curious to see what this jihad malarky is all about, comes here; reads Roberts introduction on the Main page, and then starts scanning through the comments and seeing quotes from the bible, that niave and gullible liberal geezer's gaurd is going to instantly go up and his liberal teaching will kick into gear :
EG- "This is just a site for christians to tarnish islams image, won't be comming here again!!!"

....OR....

Just as this intrigued liberal is getting educated about islams true face he sees a bible quote and thinks "It's just like my friends on Talkleft told me, christians are the most racist, hateful bastards ever...blah..blah..blah!!!".... and because of that switches off, or even worse stays online and decides to start a tit-for-tat argument, in which the attrocities of muslims are layed alongside christian attrocities and compared (even though there really is no comparison between the two as to who are the evil ones!!!).
You may then go on to absolutely thrash this person in your argument, but this person will forever remain skeptical, just because the subject of an evil religion (islam) is being attacked by Christians (a long-time foe of the left).

A'tha wi'me duck (a bit of northern England dialect for confused yanks reading this)???

PS- "Rough Diamond"???Cool!!! I like it!!!Though I'm sure you're aware I'm no gem!!!

They invaded other countrys and we know we all use oil look at the people in Fla. Crying because the don’t have ele. Where do you think you get that stuff to heat and cool your houses and run your computers? Do you drive a car well stop and start walking?

Radioactive Missiles Found In Iraq
Charles R. Smith
Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2004
U.S. Army troops operating at a former Iraqi air base recently made a startling discovery: Russian made missiles marked with radioactive warning signs.
Army bomb disposal troops confirmed using Geiger counters that the missiles are indeed radioactive.
The discovery is not, however, considered the long sought after "smoking gun" of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
The missiles appear to be part of a cache of weapons supplied to Iraq before the 1991 Gulf war.
The Russian made R-60, NATO code name AA-8 Aphid, air-to-air missiles are part of a huge stockpile of former Iraqi Air Force munitions uncovered in over a dozen concrete bunkers. The Russian made missiles are over 6 feet long and each carries 1.6 kilograms or about 3.5 pounds of radioactive uranium wrapped around a high explosive warhead.
The uranium is not pure enough nor in large enough quantity to be a nuclear warhead but it is dangerous enough, as you can see from the label:

Now think about all the drugs that come into the country? LOOK at the 9/11 report and in that book it said he was working with TERRORIST maybe not on 9/11/2001 but were we to wait for another smoking GUN REMEMBER a gun only smokes after it has gone OFF!!

Gen.Tommy Franks said we are in this war now do you want to fight it over here or over there?

Confessions of Al-Qaida Suspects Who Allegedly Planned Attacks Aired
NewsMax Wires

AMMAN, Jordan - Al-Qaida plotted bomb and poison gas attacks against the U.S. Embassy and other targets in Jordan, suspects confessed in a videotape that aired Monday on Jordanian state television. A commentator said the plotters hoped to kill 80,000 people.
One of the alleged conspirators, Azmi al-Jayousi, said he was acting on the orders of Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian wanted by the United States for allegedly organizing terrorists to fight U.S. troops in Iraq on behalf of al-Qaida. U.S. officials have offered a $10 million reward for his capture.
Al-Jayousi, identified as the head of a Jordanian terror cell, said he met al-Zarqawi in neighboring Iraq to plan the attacks.

A major achievement: US removes 1.7 metric tons of radioactive material from Iraq
Here are 1.7 metric tons of radioactive material that won't find their way into dirty bombs detonated in New York City. From the BBC, with thanks to Richard:
Along with 1.77 tons of enriched uranium, about 1,000 "highly radioactive sources" were also removed.
The material was taken from a former nuclear research facility on 23 June, after being packaged by 20 experts from the US Energy Department's secret laboratories.
It was flown out of the country aboard a military plane in a joint operation with the Department of Defense, and is being stored temporarily at a Department of Energy facility.

Now think of the DIRTY BOMBS we are ?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3872201.stm

The US has revealed that it removed more than 1.7 metric tons of radioactive material from Iraq in a secret operation last month.
"This operation was a major achievement," said US Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham in a statement.
He said it would keep "potentially dangerous nuclear materials out of the hands of terrorists".
Along with 1.77 tons of enriched uranium, about 1,000 "highly radioactive sources" were also removed.

Spinning the Sarin
Tests confirm that artillery shell that blew up in Iraq did indeed contain sarin--between three quarts' and a gallon's worth, Fox News reports. The New York Times buries the story on page 11 (something about weddings in Massachusetts led the front page, bizarrely enough), and it's shot through with pro-Saddam spin:
The discovery of the sarin-filled shell appears to offer some of the most substantial evidence to date that Mr. Hussein did not destroy all of the banned chemical agent, as he claimed before the war last year. It provides some solace, and possibly fresh leads, to the American teams that have been conducting an otherwise fruitless search for the weapons for more than a year.
The Bush administration's belief that Mr. Hussein continued to maintain stocks of such banned weapons was the primary justification put forward for invading Iraq in March 2003. American inspectors scouring the country since April 2003 have so far found little evidence that Mr. Hussein maintained such weapons or a program to produce them.
Even more brazen spin comes from the liberal Detroit Free Press, which editorializes:
This new and dangerous aspect of the war may be a consequence of the American failure to secure hundreds of Iraqi weapons caches and ammunition dumps during the race to Baghdad. There was simply too much stuff and not enough troops.
Now, this may all be true. But isn't it amazing how the argument switched from "no WMDs" to "too much stuff" in the blink of an eye?
Writing in The American Spectator Online, George Neumayr argues that the find confirms weapons inspector David Kay's case for war: "We know that terrorists were passing through Iraq," Kay told Congress "And now we know that there was little control over Iraq's weapons capabilities. I think it shows that Iraq was a very dangerous place. The country had the technology, the ability to produce, and there were terrorist groups passing through the country--and no central control."

Sarin Nerve Agent Bomb Explodes in Iraq

Monday May 17, 2004 4:01 PM
By CHRIS TORCHIA
Associated Press Writer
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A roadside bomb containing sarin nerve agent exploded near a U.S. military convoy, the U.S. military said Monday. Two people were treated for ``minor exposure,'' but no serious injuries were reported.
``The Iraqi Survey Group confirmed today that a 155-millimeter artillery round containing sarin nerve agent had been found,'' said Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, the chief military spokesman in Iraq. ``The round had been rigged as an IED (improvised explosive device) which was discovered by a U.S. force convoy.
``A detonation occurred before the IED could be rendered inoperable. This produced a very small dispersal of agent,'' he said.
The Iraqi Survey Group is a U.S. organization whose task was to search for weapons of mass destruction after the ouster of Saddam Hussein in last year's invasion.
``The round was an old binary-type requiring the mixing of two chemical components in separate sections of the cell before the deadly agent is produced,'' Kimmitt said. ``The cell is designed to work after being fired from an artillery piece.''
He said the dispersal of the nerve agent from a device such as the homemade bomb is ``limited.''
``The former regime had declared all such rounds destroyed before the 1991 Gulf War,'' Kimmitt said. ``Two explosive ordinance team members were treated for minor exposure to nerve agent as a result of the partial detonation of the round.''
In 1995, Japan's Aum Shinrikyo cult unleashed sarin gas in Tokyo's subways, killing 12 people and sickening thousands. In February of this year, Japanese courts convicted the cult's former leader, Shoko Asahara, and sentence him to be executed.
Developed in the mid-1930s by Nazi scientists, a single drop of sarin can cause quick, agonizing choking death. There are no known instances of the Nazis actually using the gas.
Nerve gases work by inhibiting key enzymes in the nervous system, blocking their transmission. Small exposures can be treated with antidotes, if administered quickly.
Antidotes to nerve gases similar to sarin are so effective that top poison gas researchers predict they eventually will cease to be a war threat.

IRAQI URANIUM NOW IN U.S. LABS
The good news: U.S. troops and scientists have taken a heap of radioactive material out of insecure locations in Iraq. The bad news: they may have brought the stuff to insecure locations here in America.
"In a secret operation, the United States last month removed from Iraq nearly two tons of uranium and hundreds of highly radioactive items that could have been used in a so-called dirty bomb," the AP reports.
"The nuclear material was secured from Iraq's former nuclear research facility and airlifted out of the country to an undisclosed Energy Department laboratory for further analysis, the department said in a statement."
That could mean that the material is now at the famously ill-defended Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, if recent history is any guide. The remnants of Libya's aborted nuclear program were brought there, not long ago -- an odd choice, considering Y-12's guards have been cheating on security drills for twenty years or more, according to a Congressional report. During one test, simulated terrorists took a mock, 44-pound uranium package, and "got outside of the fences in 38 seconds," according to a former Y-12 security analyst.

Wamp: Oak Ridge plays 'key role' in removing Iraqi nuclear material
Associate Press
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- Experts from the Energy Department's nuclear weapons and research complex in Tennessee played a ''key role'' in removing radioactive material from Iraq that could be used in a dirty bomb, U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp said.
Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham announced in Washington on Tuesday that DOE and the Defense Department removed 1.77 metric tons of low-enriched uranium and about 1,000 highly radioactive sources from a former nuclear research facility in Iraq.
The material was flown to the United States on June 23.
The uranium will be stored temporarily at a ''secure DOE facility'' and the radioactive sources were taken to a ''DOE laboratory'' for further examination, DOE said.

its great to hear of moslems accepting Yeshua! it brings great joy to my heart as only He can bring true peace for He is the Prince of Peace who will fulfill all that is predicted in the bible down to the last jot and tittle.

on the other hand, judgement is set for those who stubbornly believe in false gospels of whatever stripe: and yes that includes those charlatan tongues/healing fakes who digrace the name: "Christian", and replacement theology adherents.
