Another popular feature of the show is an audience participation segment where children get to stand up and tell how much they want to be martyrs and kill Israeli children. No trees are mentioned during this. The US Senate will soon vote on S.Res.408, which condemns the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) for its advisory opinion that Israel’s fence/wall inside Occupied Territories violates international law.
If you don't know your Senator's contact numbers you can find them at www.congress.org. Go to the sidebar at left under Elected Officials and click on US Congress. Jump through a few hoops and you'll find your Senator.
I know there are organizations out there rallying their people against this resolution. If this issue means anything to you contact your Senator ASAP.

This unfortunately is nothing new. The media throughout the arab world has long broadcast similar images and messages. www.memri.org catalogues a great many of these and is worth a look. It is perhaps the greatest crime in the arab world. The indoctrination of children into a world of hate. The follow up message particularly in the territories is to push the notion of Shaheed or martyrdom on these kids. To convince them that Paradise is more appealing than life. Its a double whammy. Of all the crimes committed by both sides in the arab israeli conflict, the introduction of children to the conflict by the Palestinians is the most horrible. It has forced a reality where Israelis cannot see a palestinian as a child. Rather, they must ask if that child hates them, if they are wearing a suicide belt. Even after a peace agreement were to be reached, it will take a generation at least to undoo this harm.

Why hasn't Israel shut down PA TV? They've done quite a bit to tell the world about it (via Palestinian media watch and other means). If they were to do it themselves, they'd be accused of oppressing the poor Palestinians, who really want peace, but Israel won't offer a decent deal (vacating 100% of the region, not just the territories).

Where is the broader media. I hate to tell you, but about a couple of months ago, CBC Radio aired a really scandalous episode of one of its current affairs programs that tried to make out that what is taught in Israeli schools and homes is the moral equivalent. A small fuss was raised, but nothing has come of it.

Yes, the Jewish settlers and Orthodox community are pretty extreme, but they are rejected by the Israeli mainstream, and loudly.

Yes, it's sad to say that there are idealogues out there. You can tell an idealogue from a rational person: the idealogue has the same answer for every problem.

For some idealogues, like the "palestinians" mentioned in this article, the answer is always: "Punish the Jews." It permeates every aspect of their culture, from children's games, social festivities (parades, etc.) to religion, to politics.

And then there are idealogues that blame everything on the liberals.

The reason so many things are blamed on "liberals" is because many self-styled liberals so often serve as useful idiots for dangerous people. Furthermore, they lack cultural confidence to criticize cultures other than their own.

Before you start lecturing me on the virtues of liberalism yadda yadda, I want you to know that my "liberalism" (at least in the modern sense of the word) faded away after 9/11. I still consider myself a liberal (at least in the classical sense) but by today's standards, I am a conservative.

Two years ago, I started a forum at faithfreedom.org titled "Betrayal from the right." I based my title on the reluctance of Republicans to use energy conservation as a means to weaken Saudi power. I also used it to attack the role of corporations in this matter. However, as a did my homework on many matters related to Islam, I found that much of the most serious betrayal came from the left, not the right. Most of all, I came to realize that many of todays liberals do not only betray America, but liberalism itself. Hence, the word "liberal" is becoming as big a joke as the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea."

Believe me, I don't like many of the people on FOX either, and I think their journalistic integrity leaves something to be desired (Although recent events suggest that the journalistic integrity of liberal news sources is no better). However, in the war of ideas with regards to the War on Islamofascism, conservative news sources like FOX are LIGHTYEARS AHEAD of the liberal media (NY Times, CBS, NPR...).

Sure it's nice to believe that a conservative you despise like Bush is a bigger traitor than the liberal you admire, but facts are stubborn things.

Think with your brain, not your ideology.

This is highly unlikely and I'm putting that mildly.

War is not a party, it is a funeral and it should be conducted as such by civilized men.
The following excerpt from the Tao Te Ching expresses that sentiment rather well.

I'm committed to the utter destruction of terrorism and uncompromising justice for those responsible for the terrorist attack of 9/11 just like most of the people reading this. However, making sure that we do this correctly, not only for our sake and honor, but for the sake and honor of future generations as well, is of the utmost importance. Many of the problems we face now are either due to, or exacerbated by, mistakes made with respect to the Middle East by administrations looking for quick fixes in the past. The mistakes goes back several presidencies and cross party lines so many times that trying to play a partisan blame game is as stupid as it is useless.
Using sound military strategy and tactics, keeping a sober mind, and realizing this is something that will take generations to eradicate, if true eradication is possible, is necessary if we are to avoid making things worse than they already are.
Engaging in adolescent fantasies of the glories of war and conquest is counterproductive, even if they are about the noble cause of eliminating terrorism. We aren't going to be able to occupy the entire Middle East nor will we be able to blow them all into atoms even if we wanted to. Only sound, long-term thinking is going to win this struggle.

What? I really dont care if some chang tao zing dong dang zai huang said something. Using a big bird replica to indoctrinate children in ideas of murder is wrong, no matter what. If you think we shouldnt go after these psycos then you too are the enemy.

f.g.~ Not sure if you will see this, but just had a thought:

It took the terrorists 3 years Plus to plan 911. Took them 2 1/2 years to plan Madrid.

How long does a Long-term plan to defeat a world-wide war against the West take? I suspect Bush's first term as President isn't even close to enough. For one thing, it is taking all this time just to overcome the 8 years of inertia, the Gorelick Wall, the co-opting of the military, by the Clinton admin.... (and if Regan and Bush 41 did not do enough, so what? They weren't the ones going on the security of the US. Stagnation, yes. Backwards, NO. That was the Clinton Admin).
