While the US consulate in Jiddah picks up the pieces, the Saudis try to too, through a PR campaign featuring the disapproving parents of jihadists. Islamic law stipulates that a would-be jihadist should obtain his parents' permission. From AP, with thanks to Nicolei:
The fathers of five militants told their stories in an emotional program called A Pause with the Parents, which was shown on state television as part of the Saudi royal family's campaign against militants who have carried out several attacks against Westerners inside the kingdom and abroad."I contacted the authorities immediately when I knew he was wanted," Ahmed Jamaan al-Zahrani said of his son Faris, No. 12 on the list of Saudi Arabia's 26 most wanted terrorist suspects before he was captured in August. "He has a wife and children whom he should have been taking care of better than staying in Afghanistan."...
The program played on Islam's high regard for honouring parents - stressing that disobeying them is almost equated with apostasy.

Another PR attempt? W/o fundamental reform of the saudi sytem, nay of islam itself, all these shibboleths are meaningless. This rig-morale of moderate muzzies condemning the actrions of the extremist few etc. have long ceased to be palatable, much less convincing.
A jihadi takeover of saudi would be the fastest way, short of a WMD attack on the west, to bring to a head the war of civilizations and methinks, the sooner it gets done with, the better off the world will be.

So, apparently, the Saudis had no idea as to the result of extensively promoting Wahhabism around the globe for the last 30+ years nor of the more recent practice of traumitizing of Saudi school children by making the viewing corpses that have had a "good" or "bad" death part of the school curriculum.
All they wanted to do was consolidate their power and control. Instead, they have unleashed forces that threaten their control.

So again we hear the act of violence condemned
but not the Muslim doing it or the Quran that
promoted it.
CAIR loves to appear as the defender of freedom and justice by denouncing Islams connection to terrorism or Jihad, but we're far too smart to fall for that scam.
The fact that Muslims fear being critical of other Muslims makes it clear that there is a common goal amongst them and lies are part of their tactic to win the trust of the infidels before they behead them.
Just look at how the Muslims in Holland are far more upset at the backlash for the Van Gogh
murder and not the MUSLIM that actually comitted
the crime. Also, with no proof of who fire bombed the first few Mosques,Muslims were quick to blame Christians and then attack Churches as a justifiable resistance to agressors.

Didn't know that TV- (showing a forbidden image in Islam -'the resprecsentation of the human face')-was allowed in iconoclastic Saudi Arabia.
I suggest they ban this instrument of Jew science (wasn't it a Russian kike Vladimir Zworykin -or was it that Jewboy Philo T. Farnsworth- who came up with this affront to Allah?) and medium of The Devil immediately.
Where's the Waha'abi religion police when you need them?
Ban TV in all of Islam! Inshallah!
And electricity! Another shocking Zionist plot!
And don't forget the Wheel, that spawn of Shaitan, devised by two clever, lazy pre-Israeli CroMagnons in the Dead Sea region, so that they wouldn't have to drag their crops to market like their honest Neanderthal proto-Arab neighbors!
The Wheel must be forbidden to all followers of Allah!
Salaam!
