BTW, an analysis of a religion's doctrines, whether it be Islam, Judaism, Christianity or whatever, does not equate to hatred - apparently you are unable to recognize the difference between the two. To demand that people not be allowed the freedom to analyze and comment on religious doctrine is contadictory to the rights and freedoms of people who live in free, pluralistic societies. Your remarks appear to be nothing more than a veiled attempt at silencing such analysis, and there's nothing particularly fair or admirable about that.

Furthermore, your comments regarding compulsion in religion don't square with Sura 9:29:
"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
And please point out the reference to self-defense in the following:

The idea of a paper airplane drop, while well intentioned, has no chance of success whatsoever.
The jihadists are fanatical zealots who have extreme disdain, if not maniacal hatred, for non Muslims. Such people are not going to be impressed or deterred by a barrage of paper airplanes(nomatter how artfully well folded or constructed or how much high quality or colored paper is used).
What people in Thailand(and elsewhere) need to do is to gain a better understanding of terrorist ideology. I submit Mr. Spencer's books should be mandatory reading literature in schools in Thailand and elsewhere.
I commend this site for its efforts to educate people on terrorist ideology. When one understands the terrorist ideological mindset, it becomes clear that efforts such as this paper airplane drop are extremely naive.

I see on the website that Ahmed Deedat is called 'more of a scholar of the Bible than the Qur'an'. Maybe more people should know about the time when he was sued for libel (by John Gilchrist) and had to admit in court that he could not read a word of New Testament Greek!

Delicious piece of irony. Deedat lost the case and had to pay damages. Gilchrist used it for Bible distribution!

Historically whenever islam and Buddhism bump up against each other, the mohammedans win. THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE VERSES IN THE HOLY QURAAN.

The condition of women before Islam:

Islam came at a time when women all over the world were being oppressed and exploited. The most any society would accord the woman was to admit that she was part of the human race. They never admitted her dignity or gave her rights and responsibilities equal to those of men. The Greeks considered her to be an object of pleasure and amusement. This view was articulated in the text of Deemo Stayn:

He said: “We take prostitutes for pleasure, lovers to care for our daily health, and wives to give us legitimate children.”

The Romans gave the father and husband the right to sell her to whomever they pleased.

The Arabs gave the son the right to inherit the wife of his father (not his own mother) just like he would inherit his father’s wealth and his steed! That is if she were lucky enough not to have been buried alive at birth.

This was the case with the rest of the world’s societies, like the Persians and the Hindus.

Women remained in this horrible state without protesting or rebelling against it. No one else was to do so either. Nor were there any social or economic developments that would require a betterment of her status.

Then Islam came, proclaiming her rights and her equality with men. It established for her all of her rights to bring her out of the miserable state that she was in and elevate her to the noble status that she deserves.

How did this happen?

Equality Between Men and Women in Islam:

“O Mankind, verily we created you from A MALE AND A FEMALE and made you into nations and tribes so you may know one another. Verily the most honorable of you with Allah are the most righteous.”

2. Equality in their destiny:

Islam also establishes that all of mankind is going to return to Allah who created them, and everyone – male and female – is going to be recompensed for his or her worldly deeds. They will receive well if they did good and they will be requited with evil if they did evil. Allah says in the Holy Quraan:

“And every one of you(MALE OR FEMALE) will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection.”

Allah also says:

“A human being will have nothing except for what he does. And his deeds will be seen. Then he will be recompensed fully.”

“So their Lord accepted of them their supplication and answered them: ‘I will never allow the work of any of you to be lost, MALE OR FEMALE. You are from each other.”

Allah says:

“Whoever works righteousness as a believer, whether MALE OR FEMALE, we will truly give a good life and We shall pay them a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do.”

We are told there was a story of this woman who was a prostitute and was an evil doer..at a small oasis..and there came a DOG really panting for some water..because there was nothing else to use to fetch some water for him..she used her SHOES to fetch some water for the DOG.and althought she was a prostitute..when the PROPHET(you accuse)was told..he said I pray ALLAH grant her a place in paradise..because of the DOG..imagine

To the proselytizer posting under the suspect handle "jewcard": you claim that Jesus is a holy prophet and praised in the Quran. Yet in Mark 7:7, Jesus Christ says, "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Are you advocating that the Koran agrees with Jesus Christ that he should be worshipped and that those who follow the commandments of men worship him in vain? If so, then how does this square with Qur’an 5:72: “They are surely infidels who say; ‘God is the Christ, the Messiah, the son of Mary”?

Quite a contradiction, wouldn't you say? It appears that the Quran is indeed antichristian. Jesus warned in Matthew 10:24, "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive
many." It is quite obvious that Muhammed fits the bill.

My freind, who is now feeling HOT and who is against me, there is a difference between THE HOLY QORAN and DOING AND ACTIONS of prophet Mohamed(we call the HADITH).

Every single HADITH deals with the problem at that time.When the Propeht Mohamed says that Women are full in the Hell,he was considering that Women are not modest, making men look at their body parts and prostitution was high and so on and so forth.

THIS ARE VERSES FROM THE HOLY QORAN

"We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents; in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth" (46:15).

"Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: ‘My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood' "(17:23-24).

"We have enjoined on man and woman kindness to parents; but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not'" (29:8).

"We have enjoined on man and woman (to be good) to his/her parents; show gratitude to Me and to thy parents; to Me is (thy final) Goal. If they (parents) strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (and consideration) and follow the way of those who turn to Me (in love)" (31:14-15).

AND THEN THIS IS HADITH(to elaborate the qoran..to make it practible.

1.The Prophet Muhammad said, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him: Your Heaven lies under the feet of your mother (Ahmad, Nasai).

2.A man came to the Prophet and said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship? The Prophet said: Your mother. The man said, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man further asked, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your father. (Bukhari, Muslim).

3. Abu Usaid Saidi said: We were once sitting with Rasulullah when a man from the tribe of Salmah came and said to him: O Messenger of Allah! do my parents have rights over me even after they have died? And Rasulullah said: Yes. You must pray to Allah to bless them with His Forgiveness and Mercy, fulfill the promises they made to anyone, and respect their relations and their friends (Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah).

4. Abdullah ibn Amr related that the Messenger of Allah said: The major sins are to believe that Allah has partners, to disobey one's parents, to commit murder, and to bear false witness (Bukhari, Muslim).

5. It is narrated by Asma bint Abu Bakr that during the treaty of Hudaibiyah, her mother, who was then pagan, came to see her from Makkah. Asma informed the Messenger of Allah of her arrival and also that she needed help. He said: Be good to your mother (Bukhari, Muslim).

After all this arguments and counter arguments..the moment people get to know ISLAM is the last time to work and preside in the Church.

So in the other words, you are keeping your job as a priest or sort of...If our christian freinds, get to know about ISLAM..which they are doing considering the great numbers of convertees in Europe, USA and CANADA...ISLAM is the fastest growing religion in the USA..and have more members than the Methodist church..
