A major Islamic charity raising millions of dollars in Britain "to provide humanitarian aid to peoples of the Middle East" is actually a Hamas front that channels funds from British Muslims to support Hamas terrorism, Israeli security sources told WorldNetDaily.According to its website, Interpal, established in 1994, is a British charity "that focuses solely on the provision of relief and development aid to the poor and needy of Palestine and the world over, primarily in Palestine and the refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon."
The charity reportedly raised more than $8 million last year.
Interpal was declared an illegal, terror-supporting organization in Israel because of its alleged links to Hamas and was outlawed in the United States in August 2003 after being designated by a U.S. executive order "an entity that commits, threatens to commit or supports terrorism."
Interpal has been investigated several times by British authorities, and has in the past had its UK bank accounts temporarily frozen, but Britain's Charity Commission in 2003 dropped the investigation for "lack of evidence" that Interpol was connected to any terrorist organization. The charity currently operates unimpeded in Britain.
But documents discovered and recently declassified from Israel's 2002 Operation Defensive Shield in the Palestinian territories, along with other supportive evidence released through the Center for Special Studies in Israel, including bank-transfer information, should warrant Britain reopening its investigation into Interpal, security sources say.
"Interpal is one of the most important channels through which money is poured into the Hamas infrastructure in the Palestinian areas, and Britain has been and will continue to be provided with plenty of evidence" a security source told WorldNetDaily.
"Interpal says its funds are going to the welfare of Palestinians, but the institutions giving out the money in the [Palestinian] territories are headed by senior Hamas officials," said the security source.
The source said activities financed by Interpal include "money for the families of suicide bombers, which raises morale and provides motivation for others to become terrorists, and education services that teach kids the importance of jihad."...
In April 2003, just before the U.S. outlawed Interpal, Britain's Charity Commission announced it was reopening its investigation of links between Interpal and Hamas, but it later claimed to have found nothing.
"The [British] authorities are afraid of the large Muslim community," said a security source. "Britain's failure to close Interpal and take action against Hamas' charities is coming from internal politics."

Osama bin Laden's newest tape may have thrust him to the forefront of the presidential election, but what was not seen was the cave-dwelling terror lord talking about the setbacks al Qaeda has faced in recent months.
Officials said that in the 18-minute long tape — of which only six minutes were aired on the al-Jazeera Arab television network in the Middle East on Friday — bin Laden bemoans the recent democratic elections in Afghanistan and the lack of violence involved with it.
On the tape, bin Laden also says his terror organization has been hurt by the U.S. military's unrelenting manhunt for him and his cohorts on the Afghan-Pakistani border.
A portion of the left-out footage includes a tirade aimed at President Bush and his father, former President George H.W. Bush, claiming the war in Iraq is purely over oil.
The tape also sparked some concern that an attack aimed at disrupting Tuesday's election may be planned.
But those who have seen the tape have said there was no specific information regarding an attack.

In yesterday's Corriere della Sera there is an article about a list of 42 points made by Jihadits in Iraq, which they have apparently released for the edification of all good Muslims. If you cannot go on the Jihad yourself and kill Infidels, you must contribute money. "The Jihad is money; money is the Jihad."
How true.
And how curious that along with the raising of money by Muslim "charities." The very word "charities" here, a word as seemingly innocuous, and in reality as misplaced, as the word "religion" applied so readily to the belief-system of Islam by those whose notion of religion is formed by their understanding of Christianity or Judaism. For "zakat" is not given to non-Muslims, ever -- unlike the charitable contributions of Christians and Jews without such limit. And it is not given for any cause except that which "furthers the cause of Allah." And what, to a Muslim, "furthers the cause of Allah" more than promoting the Jihad -- so that even those Hamas soup-kitchens about which we hear so much are not simply designed to fill stomachs, but to win volunteers and supporters for violent Jihad. Recently, in an obvious public-relations ploy, Muslim groups asked the American government, with false innocence, can you tell us please what Muslim charities we can give to, since it seems that all the groups we do donate to end up being closed down? The idea was to make the government embarrased.
In fact, there are almost no Muslim charities that, directly or indirectly, do not work "for the cause of Allah," that is not to help the Muslim poor (the Muslim poor, as one knows from the treatment of "Palestinian" refugees all over the Arab countries, are a matter of indifference -- what counts is paying the families of suicide-bombers, or to pay for more weaponry for Arab armies, or mosques, madrassas, and propaganda in the West).
What "Muslim charities" are licit in Infidel lands? When the function of those charities and real purpose of those "charities" are carefully examined, the real answer may be quite close to this: None.

It went to pay the f****** PLO's utility bills that is what. It was originally earmarked to help with elections following Araphat's death, however someone thought people might take exception to paying PLO salaries so they slipped this scam in. With that news, it puts the $20 million aid package in a new light--if--we give the money directly to Israel. Then we can send the Palestinians a receipt instead of cash. I mean it's probably safe to assume the Palestinians have never payed a utility bill in the past anyway, right?
It seems like the perfect way to give Israel $20 million and get credit in the Arab world for giving aid to the Palestinians at the same time.
If so, it's not as bad as I first thought.

Hugh makes an excellent point. Islam is a political ideology that encourages disloyalty to the United States, as an Infidel state, and the exstinguishing of Infidel claims to certain rights (equality, free speech) in the US Constitution. 'Islamic charities' can only give to activities that have the potential to grow that ideology; hence, Islamic charities cannot be considered charities at all. Charity is giving aimed at benefitting others and society. But Islamic giving aims at the benefit of Muslims at the expense of Infidels (security, claims to rights, claims to values contrary to Islam) and the Infidel state.
Hence, in the context of an Infidel state, Islamic charity is a logical impossibility because such 'giving' harms rather than benefits society overall, over the long term.

A deadly precise rocket attack killed 24 and wounded 64 in a dining hall tent inside a U.S. military compound outside Mosul today.
The dead included 14 U.S. soldiers, an Iraqi soldier and at least three civilian workers, according to a military briefing in Mosul.
Identities of the other dead were still being determined.
Two of the slain soldiers were from the Richmond-based 276th Engineer Battalion of the Virginia National Guard. They are the first fatalities for the unit since it arrived in Iraq nearly a year ago.

I can agree with you about not sending our tax dollars all over the world...to the PA or the UN or some other cesspool. Who doesn't want to stop that nonsense? The reality is that it's not going to stop. So, yes, if it has to go, I would much rather it go the Israel than to the PA.

I was pissed as well when I first heard the news. But f.g. and Catherine (see above) tell me that the money went to pay the Palestinians utility bill--owed to Israel. So, it appears the U.S. said it was giving aid to the Palestinians but gave the money to Israel to pay the utility bill.
Now f.g may disagree, but I like this scenario much better than handing over $20 million in cash to the Palestinians.

If we need to send them food, then so be it.
If we need to repair their outhouses, so be it.
If we have to send street cleaners over there to mop up blood and bones, so be it.
If we have to build extra showers and send soap, so be it.
We are simply being flat out stupid for sending money to a mob of America haters who danced and grinned into the cameras with the 14 teeth they have in their mouthes the day our towers fell. That will never be forgotten.

Yasser Arafat died last month. This month, his death is prompting plans for a foreign aid bounty of $500 million to $1 billion a year for the Palestinians.
That’s the scoop Steven R. Weisman published in the New York Times on Dec. 17. He revealed that Western, Arab, and other governments plan to add a 50 to 100 percent bonus to the $1 billion a year they already direct to 3.5 million Palestinians in the territories, contingent upon a crackdown on terrorist groups and the holding of credible elections in January 2005.
(Asked about Weisman’s report, White House spokesman Scott McClellan neither confirmed nor denied it. But President George W. Bush did subsequently make some hugely ambitious statements about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict: “I am convinced that, during this term, I will manage to bring peace”; and “Next year is very important, as it will bring peace.”)
Aid-wise, residents of the West Bank and Gaza have hardly been neglected until now. They receive about $300 per person, making them, per capita, the world’s greatest beneficiaries of foreign aid. Strangely, their efforts to destroy Israel have not inspired efforts to crush this hideous ambition but rather to subsidize it. Money being fungible, foreign aid effectively funds the Palestinians’ bellicose propaganda machine, their arsenal, their army, and their suicide bombers.
This, however, does not faze international aid types. Nigel Roberts, the World Bank’s director for the West Bank and Gaza, blows off past failures. Addressing himself to donors, he says, “Maybe your $1 billion a year hasn’t produced much, but we think there’s a case for doing even more in the next three or four years.”
Roberts is saying, in effect: Yes, your money enabled Arafat’s corruption, jihad ideology, and suicide factories, but those are yesterday’s problems; now, let’s hope the new leadership uses donations for better purposes. Please lavish more funds on it to enhance its prestige and power, then hope for the best.
This la-la-land thinking ignores two wee problems. One concerns the Palestinians’ widespread intent to destroy Israel, as shown by the outpouring of grief for arch-terrorist Arafat at his funeral, the consistent results of opinion research, and the steady supply of would-be jihadists. The Palestinians’ discovery of their inner moderation, to put it mildly, has yet to commence.
The other problem is blaming the past decade’s violence and tyranny exclusively on Arafat, and erroneously assuming that, now freed of him, the Palestinians are eager to reform. Mahmoud Abbas, the new leader, has indeed called for ending terrorism against Israel, but he did so for transparently tactical reasons (it is the wrong thing to do now), not for strategic reasons (it is permanently to be given up), much less for moral ones (it is inherently evil).
Abbas is not a moderate but a pragmatist. Unlike Arafat, consumed by his biography and his demons, Abbas offers a more reasonable figure, one who can more rationally pursue Arafat’s goal of destroying Israel. In this spirit, he has quickly apologized to the Kuwaitis and made up with the Syrians; compared to this, reaching out to the Americans is easy.
But, no less than his mentor Arafat, Abbas remains intent on eliminating Israel. This is evident, for example, from his recent comments insisting that millions of Palestinian “refugees” be permitted to enter Israel so as to overwhelm it demographically; or from his keeping the virulent content of the Palestinian Authority’s media in place.
To give additional money to the Palestinians now, ahead of their undergoing a change of heart and accepting the permanent existence of the Jewish state of Israel, is a terrible mistake, one that numbingly replicates the errors of the 1990s’ Oslo diplomacy. Prematurely rewarding the Palestinians will again delay the timetable of conciliation.
As I have argued for years, money, arms, diplomacy, and recognition for the Palestinians should follow on their having accepted Israel. One sign that this will have happened: when Jews living in Hebron (on the West Bank) need no more security than Arabs living in Nazareth (within Israel).
Until that day of harmony – which I predict is about 30 years off – the outside world should focus not on showering money or other benefits on the Palestinians, but on pushing them relentlessly to accept Israel’s existence.

Militants in Iraq have freed French reporters Georges Malbrunot and Christian Chesnot, who were taken hostage on 20 August.
The French foreign ministry confirmed an Arabic TV report that the two men had been set free and said they would return to France on Wednesday.

Hearts and Minds
Go read this post at BlackFive from a Marine Gunnery Sergeant in Iraq, and know that we have friends: The Heart of America.
As you know, I asked for toys for the Iraqi children over here and several people (Americans that support us) sent them over by the box. On each patrol we take through the city, we take as many toys as will fit in our pockets and hand them out as we can. The kids take the toys and run to show them off as if they were worth a million bucks. We are as friendly as we can be to everyone we see, but especially so with the kids. Most of them don’t have any idea what is going on and are completely innocent in all of this.
On one such patrol, our lead security vehicle stopped in the middle of the street. This is not normal and is very unsafe, so the following vehicles began to inquire over the radio. The lead vehicle reported a little girl sitting in the road and said she just would not budge. The command vehicle told the lead to simply go around her and to be kind as they did. The street was wide enough to allow this maneuver and so they waved to her as they drove around.
As the vehicles went around her, I soon saw her sitting there and in her arms she was clutching a little bear that we had handed her a few patrols back. Feeling an immediate connection to the girl, I radioed that we were going to stop. The rest of the convoy paused and I got out the make sure she was OK. The little girl looked scared and concerned, but there was a warmth in her eyes toward me. As I knelt down to talk to her, she moved over and pointed to a mine in the road.
Immediately a cordon was set as the Marine convoy assumed a defensive posture around the site. The mine was destroyed in place.
It was the heart of an American that sent that toy. It was the heart of an American that gave that toy to that little girl. It was the heart of an American that protected that convoy from that mine. Sure, she was a little Iraqi girl and she had no knowledge of purple mountain’s majesty or fruited plains. It was a heart of acceptance, of tolerance, of peace and grace, even through the inconveniences of conflict that saved that convoy from hitting that mine. Those attributes are what keep Americans hearts beating. She may have no affiliation at all with the United States, but she knows what it is to be brave and if we can continue to support her and her new government, she will know what it is to be free. Isn’t that what Americans are, the free and the brave?
If you sent over a toy or a Marine (US Service member) you took part in this. You are a reason that Iraq has to believe in a better future.

I realize that your world is pretty black and white Catherine, but in the real world it is quite different. I am a native American citizen and tax payer who lives and works in the heart of the United States. I am an independent, a patriot, a freethinker, and a realist. I have the wherewithal to recognize when my government does something stupid and the heart to support my brothers and sisters who have been placed in harms way. That is who the hell I am. Here's a link to a suspected Hamas based charity in Canada that uses "Orphans" for luring donations,sadly the Muslims donating are some that aren't told that the Orphans were created by their suicide-bomber parents in Palestine.
The "Mission" statement hints at focusing in Palestine to stop the suffering.

I think it really boils down to an issue of Human Rights don't you? Anytime you have groups of human beings whether they are family, tribe, nation, or corporation the "evils" that get done are really violations of human rights. When you see the root problem as human rights issues then "groupings" become almost irrelevant as objects of your disgust, meaning you’ll find these problems everywhere people are no matter the ideology. It looks like Islam and its adherents are the main threat to human rights, freedom, and life on the planet at the moment and the system of government instituted in the United States has been the best thing to ever come along in the way people ruling themselves. Our system of government isn’t perfect and never has been but we have the ability to say something about it and change it when necessary.

I want to know the truth~!
I personally believe when God threw the devil out of heaven (with the extinction of dinosaurs & the Big Bang Theory) he landed in England. Why are there flat pyramids in South America and pointed in Egypt and American Indians shape of house is also pyramid, (tee-pee). Why do American Indians have shape shifters and know about the flood. Maybe some of us got tired of following Moses around the desert and weren’t afraid to cross the big waters? American Indio has lived with religious oppression for over 500 years. Three hundred years of ethnic cleansing and 200 years of colonial industrialism. Yet, our tribes still survive and have our sovereign ways why can’t the Jews/Islam and Arabs live together?
If you’d take a 24 hour day and compare with the life of our planet–man would only arrived the last 15 seconds before midnight. If one day is 1000 years to God, then what is so big about suicide bombing and sneaking up on people killing them? It would seem to be nobler to work to care for one another in the coming days of terror and global warming than to kill one self never and knowing whose wrong and whose right. The real martyrs are the ones the suicide bombers kill. I have no respect for or see them as anything less than a coward who is more afraid to live. I want to know the truth and not from some man’s interpretation of his own book. Try this book:
