Jihad Unspun: tsunami a warning from Allah to return to Islam

Dr. Abu Ziyaad in "Jordon" sees the tsunami as punishment for non-Muslims and a test for Muslims, with the underlying lesson to both being (in the words of the prophet Muhammad to the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius): embrace Islam and you will be safe. He sees a return to Sharia as the best earthquake insurance, since it was evidently caused by those who dare to "rule by Kufr laws" and who "uphold and make excuses for the apostate rulers and their governments in the Muslim lands."

While he does tie the tsunami to the support given by Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia to the "Christian crusaders," the good doctor doesn't explain why those countries were hit when others even more central to the "Crusade" were not: in other words, he doesn't explain why the tsunami didn't, if his reasoning is correct, overwhelm New York or Washington or Tel Aviv, or those Islamic nations where Sharia is not the law of the land. Nor does he mention, of course, the aid given by the "Crusaders" to the afflicted lands, or the restrictions that Muslims themselves have on giving the same kind of aid.

From Jihad Unspun, with thanks to Nicolei:

Bismillaah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem

"No calamity befalls, but with the Leave of Allaah, and whosoever believes in Allaah, He guides his heart and Allaah is the All-Knower of everything." [EMQ 64:11]...

As Muslims we are obliged to have fear and consciousness of Allaah (swt) and ponder over events that happen around us. The South Asian earthquake turned security into fear, richness into poverty, caused joined families to depart, and turned life into death. Without doubt, in it is a lesson for those who take lessons and a reminder for those who remember, so that they may return to their Lord and their Creator....

It is with this in mind that we need to view the effect of the quake on countries like Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Three months after the US was attacked on September the 11th, 2001, the Buddhist Thai Prime Minister Thaksin (on behalf of his people) went to America and offered (at the alter of capitalism) Thailand's help to the Christian Crusaders in the war on terror (Islam). Since that time, Thailand has committed military forces outside Southeast Asia for the first time in more than 50 years in places as far afield as Afghanistan (where it has no business whatsoever) and elsewhere. Thai engineers have helped rebuild Afghanistan's national air field (for the Crusading Americans to airdrop in supplies and reinforcements) and has helped restore much of that country's infrastructure (in order to aide the re-colonization project).

Inside Thailand itself, the Thai government, with the blessing of the US, is pursuing Muslims mercilessly assaulting beating and killing them. Only last month in November, TV pictures of Thai soldiers firing bullets at unarmed protesters in the Islamic Sultanate of Pattani (South of the country) killed 86 Muslims in cold blood. The same criticisms can be leveled at the ruling United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) party in Sri Lanka, which came to power after the April 2, 2004 election. The Sri Lankan government has dropped its limited criticisms of the US invasion of Iraq and, under the guise of supporting the “war on terrorism”, given its full backing to the Christian Crusaders inside the White House. The UPFA is supporting Washington’s military operations in the region, not only in word, but also in deed. The new government is proceeding to strengthen military ties with Washington that will facilitate the growing US presence in the Middle East and Central Asia....

Likewise, with Indonesia, the worlds largest Muslim nation, the Kufr (non-Islamic) government of the apostate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is actively fighting against Islam at home and abroad, by openly supporting the US foreign policy. Indeed, only last week, at the opening of a two-day meeting of Asia-Pacific religious leaders in central Java, the President called terrorism (Islam) the enemy of all religions (the man-made false religions such as Christianity Judaism and Hinduism as well as the religion of Secularism and Democracy) and urged religious leaders to fight it.

In a region on the northern tip of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, called Aceh, the Indonesian army has long been fighting the Muslims (mujahideen) who want to liberate themselves from the cloak of Kufr surrounding Indonesia and establish an Islamic sultanate where the Sharee'ah (Islamic laws) prevail. The government has used the 'US war on terror' as cover for an all out offensive on the Muslims in that region, and elsewhere. It was with great sadness that many of those dead in Indonesia came from the province of Aceh, almost 40,000 in total gaining martyrdom Allaah willing. Indeed, for the Muslims, this is nothing but a test from Allaah (swt).

Allaah (swt) has said: "do you think that you will enter Paradise without being tested like those before you. They were touched by wars and great harms" [EMQ 2:214]

This ayah is for those Muslims left behind in Aceh and elsewhere. Allaah has asked you to stay patient during this time, to continue your struggle to bring back Islam (as a complete ideology) to that part of the world, and has promised you on that patience a great victory, Allaah willing.

Along side the fact that these governments are actively fighting Islam and Muslims on a national and international scale, their peoples are also involved in wide scale Shirk (polytheism - associating partners alongside Allaah in either his names, attributes, or functions). The whole South Asian region is characterized by Shirk (polytheism). In Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, the Shirk is in the form of setting up rivals (andaad) besides Allaah (in his Ruboobiyyah, Lordship). We see the many Buddhist statues and idols that the people have created out of their own hands as illustration of this fact e.g. the golden statues of Buddha, Hanuman, Ganesh, Gandhi etc etc. In Indonesia, the Shirk is more subtle, and takes the form of setting up laws and constitutions in parliament based on Kufr. The Shirk of ruling by man-made laws as opposed to the Sharee'ah (is in direct contradiction to the Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah).

No matter what the form of Shirk, one thing is certain, the punishment of Allaah (swt) for this crime.

"And of mankind are some who take (for worship: idols, statues and ideas) others besides Allaah as rivals (to Allaah). They love them (i.e. their idols, their statues, their ideas) as they love Allaah. But those who believe, love Allaah more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong (by associating partners with Allaah) could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allaah and that Allaah is Severe in punishment (in this world and in the hereafter)" [EMQ 2:165]

In conclusion then, the earthquake of South Asia is a warning from Allaah (swt), not only to the people of that region, but rather to the whole of humanity, and to the Muslims in particular, that they may return back to their Lord and their Deen. Many of the Muslims today have gathered many sins, some of those sins are so great (kabaa'ir), that it has taken them outside the fold of Islam, while others are on the verge of the Kufr. We see those who delay and neglect prayers, eat haram foods e.g. food that is stunned before being slaughtered, deal with riba (interest), do not fulfill their trusts (covenants), order the evil (munkar) and forbid the good (ma'roof), rule by Kufr laws, uphold and make excuses for the apostate rulers and their governments in the Muslim lands, associate partners with Allaah in his names, attributes and functions, indulge in free mixing, display their awrah, listen to music and songs, smoke and have abandoned the Qur'aan and the Sunnah. All these exist in our society.

HA,Ha,Ha! What a load of rubbish - well need a laugh this time of the morning. Talk about superstitious crap designed to frighten the Ignorant and Credulous... How does dotty Doc explain Aceh practising Sharia Law [didn't know they were] getting hit by Tsunami twice as hard as anyone else??There ain't NO LOGIC IN ISLAM.

How does he explain the earthquake that hit Bam, Iran in December 2003, killing approximately 30,000?

Posted by: Caroline [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 1, 2005 10:13 AM

I've been expecting this for several days. I also expect those leftist politicians, keithjoy academia and ratherists to argue that we should drop the War against Terror in Iraq in order to better facilitate helping the victims of this disaster- just what their jihadists friends would love to see us do.

I found this web site ... it is scary how detailed and methodically detailed the "explanations" for all the savagery and singleminded belief in Islam's
"superiority" to all other religions are laid out.

I did it and I'm glad. Glad I tell you, glad! (What old movie was that line from?) Yes, I eat haram food, listen to music and smoke. Just as starters, mind you. Don't even ask about my toilet or sex practices. All I can say it that when I die, Allah will have a lot to answer for.

This *is* absolute rubbish. Yet another example of the out-of-control literalists duping the faithful in order to pursue their agenda of power, money and influence. I can't help but be reminded of Falwell and Robertson standing in fronty of the cameras and blaming American liberals, homosexuals and abortionists for 911.

It's unfortunate that there are believers who are so strongly indoctinated by their faith that they believe these people!

JAI~ uhhh. Hmmmm. You gave some Credence to the idea, actually. When Robertson spoke out against... was it Orlando? Florida on a certain issue, I was rather surprised/ mildly pleased, to see the First hurricane of the season slam into his home town and base of operations. Sort of a 'Shut Up.'

However things like this do prove that the islamofascists can't turn off the Hate long enough to Help.

That site (answering-christianity.com) is a very poor quality anti-Christian hate site full of ridiculous lies.

Been there before but not recently.

Try Answering-Islam.org for some Christian replies. But most of the stuff on that anti-Christian site are so obviously silly its not wasting time replying to them. Good for a joke though.

Don't want to go into the subject of natural disasters and God right now.

That Muhammadean is wrong about his Allah though. There is no Allah so Allah couldn't have cause anything.

On the issue of whether "liberals, homosexuals and abortionists" being responsible for 9-11 I am not so sure. However these types of people are the strongest supporters of Terrorism. They are also the greatest obstacle to fighting and eradicating this disease as well since they oppose anyone who want to take action against Terror.

Also there is no indoctrination in True Christianity, unlike in other religions such as Atheism and fascist cult movements such as Islam (Islam is NOT A RELIGION) and so on.

Ah yes, the old "the gods are angry" ploy. Well then, we must appease them. Therefore, by the power of the gods vested in me as High Priest of Malsi, I hereby offer up all food on the planet to them.

Now that all food on the planet has been offered up to the pagan gods, what is the ummah to do, since the consumption of any food offered up to pagan gods is forbidden (K 5:3)?

My goodness, a literalist critique of Islam. I am quite shocked actually: "a tsunami killed the Kafirs because they are Kafirs and killed you Muslims because you need to be 'better Muslims'". I expected a Jewish plot of some sort.

If the Jews do not get blamed for the whole thing within a week, I will be amazed.

And stop screaming [bold type] at people,it is rather obnoxious

Now a little Indonesian update

JAKARTA (AFP): Two home-made bombs exploded in a town in the sectarian violence-hit Indonesian province of Central Sulawesi early Saturday just minutes into the New Year, but there were no casualties, police said.
The first bomb exploded on a street in the center Poso town just 45 minutes after midnight and another one went off a few streets away shortly after, Second Brig. Ridwan of Poso Police said
Five days after an earthquake of terrifying proportions sent towers of water crashing onto Sumatra island, rescuers reaching isolated coastlines found few survivors among floating graveyards of swollen corpses and pulverised homes.
With aid struggling to reach some areas despite generous pledges of help, desperation sparked unprecedented crime waves in the deeply Islamic region as looters ran amok unchecked by military and police tied up in the relief effort.
In Lhokseumawe, a relatively unscathed town on the northern coast of Sumatra's Aceh province, there were reports of thieves entering and exploiting the crisis by sparking false alarms to get residents to flee.
"There's a lot of looting of electronic goods, fowl and livestock, even motorcycles," a reporter for Elshinta radio said. "Some of the people are forced to take justice into their own hands," he said.
The Indonesian military says it is continuing to launch raids against separatist rebels in tsunami-devastated Aceh, despite having earlier called a ceasefire to help aid efforts.
"Our security operations continue, the only difference is that it may be less in scale and intensity," Lieutenant Colonel Nachrowi, of the military headquarters' general information department, told AFP.
"The principle is that all our forces in Aceh are basically continuing their duty under the security operation. But they also have to accord a large portion of their time for the humanitarian relief efforts.
"We continue to launch raids into suspected GAM (Free Aceh Movement) areas and our vigilance remains high."
Nachrowi's comments come despite Indonesian military chief General Endriartono Sutarto calling for an unprecedented temporary ceasefire on Monday with the rebels so focus could be shifted onto rebuilding the remote province.
"All my soldiers will be used to help overcome this natural disaster and I hope that GAM will also do the same, not using the opportunity for something else because this is really something to do with humanitarian problems," he said.
Much of the western coast of Aceh, including the capital of Banda Aceh, was demolished in Sunday's massive tsunamis that were triggered by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake in the ocean 150 kilometres (93 miles) from the province.
The Indonesian death toll from the tsunamis is nearly 80,000 people, with most of the fatalities in Aceh, and the figure is expected to climb further as rescue workers reach remote towns and villages.
The inability to quickly rebuild infrastructure in Aceh is being partly attributed to the decades-old insurgency that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of people and led to less development in the province.
The Free Aceh Movement has been fighting for independence since 1976, and the government stepped up its military suppression efforts with a massive operation that began in May 2003.
Amid the apparent calls for a ceasefire, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono urged GAM rebels on Thursday to lay down their weapons and join efforts to rebuild Aceh.
"I call on those who are still raising arms, to come out... let us use this historic momentum to join and be united again," Yudhoyono told a press conference here.
"I call on them all, let us together build an Aceh in line with the special autonomy and according to what we can do together."
The exiled Free Aceh Movement leadership announced on Tuesday that it had imposed its own unilateral ceasefire, but said there had been no evidence of the army having laid down its arms.
"We declared a unilateral ceasefire, but some of our people have been killed in ambushes," GAM spokesman Bakhtir Abdullah told AFP in Sweden.
"At this crucial time, there is a natural catastrophe and yet the military troops are still hunting GAM people," he said.

Lemme see if I understand something; Ar-Raheem says:

"The South Asian earthquake turned security into fear, richness into poverty, caused joined families to depart, and turned life into death."

Now, it sounds to me as if he's talking like fear, poverty, and death are BAD things.

Yet the Grand Poobah Komeini said,

"This world. . .is not a world in which we ought to live. . .What is called Life in this world is not Life, but Death. True Life is that offered only in the Hereafter. . .We are here, in this low, earthly Life, only to perform the duties Allah has set for us to perform. We may, because of our ignorance, consider these duties to be onerous, but these are, verily, the best example of the Almightly's generosity [towards us]."

Now it seems to me that the Poobah considers life on this lowly earth to be worthless, that only death can bring REAL life to us, and that the "onerous" duties we must perform are actually an indication of Allah's generosity. . .

Hmmm. . .I'd better go ponder this.

What he doesn’t realize is Allah seems to hate Moslems too, well at least the Moslems of Iraq and Afghanistan, where Allah let those infidels pigs have their way and transform the countries into democracies something that apparently Allah or Moslems didn’t have the power or will to do.

I would like to see a total death count for Moslems and non-Moslems.
What will he say about his Allah when more Moslems then non-Moslems died?

What will he tell all those Moslem families of the Iraq insurgents? Or those that follow that Osama Bin Laden to their grave.

Become a Moslem and get protection like this? Well no.. but we do offer a nice paradise package for those to dumb to think for themselves.

Sure. If the Islamist's didn't want Americans cleaning house in Islamic countries, the terrorists shouldn't have flown planes into buildings and everything else terror groups have done. It seems as though those of Islamic faith live to twist facts. Could it be that Islamic terror groups are misguided into Naziism? Hitler failed. The attempt to brainwash all individuals into Sharia law, will fail, too. Only the truth withstands all time.

Next time Mr Falwell or Mr Robertson or anyone else, get on TV and speak about a natural disaster

keep this in mind

Now there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
(Luke 13:1-5)

December 26, 2003 a powerful earthquake hits Iran,and BAM,40,000 victims.
December 26,2004 a powerful earthquake on the bottom of the ocean, generates a tsunami that hits Indonezia, the most populous muslim country on earth, and Bam again,150,000 victims...
Is Allah trying to tell something to his followers?!
Would december 26, 2005 and similar events in Mecca ,be a final warning for the muslims of the world to straighten up their act?!

Notice first that almost all of the affected countries were Muslim-
Thailand
Indonesia
Sri Lanka, which is the home to some of the most extreme sects of Islam
Somalia, the only country that far away to be affected is a Muslim country filled wih American hating monkeys an anarchial warlords.

Also, notice that the island off of which the tidal wave originated is Phuket, which is widely known to be the boyhood prostitution capital of the world.

Coincidence?

Just checked a bit of Simon Winchester, Krakatoa, and around pp. 300-330, he writes about the Islamic frenzy that took over the Indonesians in the following five years or so, c. 1887. Look at the text more closely than I can, and see if you think we're facing an intensification of virulent Islam on top of what we face already. read on the fly so I cna't relate much more than that. But my guess is that when the plagues hit, the Moslems will go even crazier than they are now. It looks like that's the pattern, if we can judge from the explosion at Krakatoa just over a hundred years ago. And if so, what for us?

We'd better organize, folks.

Hmmm wasn't there a thread here not too long ago where some muslim was blathering on about allah sending 'great storms' to America....and here is another muslim once again attributing storms to allah...well if allah was aiming for America someone needs to send poor old allah an atlas. I cannot believe that muslims are causing trouble in a country where people have no food and clean water and where dead bodies are still lying in the streets is there no end to the evil of these people, no lengths that they wont go to in order to cause more death and suffering...I am also surprised that they havent started looting the supplies that are being sent over to keep for themselves...but I certainly wouldnt put it past them.

As for me, i will show to these Muslims I have a God who has a name YWHH, has helped me to be compasionate to all. If I am accused as a Kufr, infidel, so be it, but who knows, this is one way our God is telling us believers in him that we have to demonstrate our faith to these poor misguided souls to the knowledge of our GREAT GOD. Let's all work it out, God has made his way for us infidels to boast of our ONE GOD!!

Based on my exposure to Muslims,I believe Allah was trying to give them a hint about having a bath every decade or so.

Most of the dead were mothers and their children
that were ripped from their arms by the strong
backwash of the first wave, the second wave pounded the shore and brought in the sand that buried many of them along the shoreline.
For Muslims to blame this on Allah as a sign to repent is absurd,Allah has no power because he was a creation made by Muhammed based on the voices he heard in his head. Remember,Muhammed believed Allah told him to have sex with a 9 year old child so that pretty well sums it up for the claim by Muslims that Allah is the God of all people.

Muhammed can Gogh to hell where he can be with his buddy Allah.

I picked this little quote off the web:

"The Americans have to understand our culture here," said Hilmy Bakar Almascaty, vice-chairman of the Jakarta-based Islamic Defenders Front, which is mobilising relief efforts of its own.

"If they are not sensitive to local issues then there will be problems. If American women come to Aceh, they must wear dilbab for example. There is Sharia law in Aceh and that is what is dictated."

So what do you think?

Jihad Unspun: tsunami a warning from Allah to return to Islam

This guy falls into the "lets worship the psychopathically cruel god" trap. A god that does use massive cruelty to coerce people into wprshiping it like a dictator does is, according to its behaviour, an evil god. If this guy really beleives in such a theological concept of Allah then he is praying to a god that not only isn't any more humane than Satan, but actually is more devious than Satan as Satan is more honest/upfront in advertising his actions as evil and not good.

Well, I also believe that God made it and rules it--down to the atoms and molecules and subatomic particles. But please don't ask me if I know precisely what purpose God had in either the tsunami or the stillbirth of a child. His mind is a little more capacious than mine. But, I do know that in the pains and sufferings that have come my way, I have become at least a marginally better person. It does not speak well of me, I know, but it also strikes me that some of the most arrogant and insufferable people I know are those around whom God has set a hedge, letting them flourish like a green bay tree. Maybe, in such people are to serve the rest of us as shocking pictures of ingratitude.

And, who knows, what might some people in Aceh conclude when they see non-Muslims putting themselves out the extra mile for them? Once I thought the 9/11 attack was God's controversy with America (and I certainly don't think America is perfect by any stretch of the imagination); sometimes I wonder if He isn't even now shaking the false religion of Islam to its foundations.

shiva:

Writing in bold face type is not considered screaming or shouting; writing more than one or two words in CAPITAL LETTERS is. Bold face is just for emphasis.

Informed Christian:

As to the existence of "allah", many believe that he is Satan posing as an equal to the One True God, and the dictates he gave to his followers and their practices certainly lend this theory some credence.

Hang on, hang on.

Let me get this right.

This disaster hits the biggest Muslim nation on earth, but it's actually Allah punishing the Kuffar?

Blimey Jihad unspun, you certainly need some new glasses with which to view world events, I fear the ones you have on at the moment are slightly tainted with a dillusional tint.

Regards everyone;

I cant help but think that maybe just maybe many upon many radical Moslem groups where washed out to sea in last weeks tragic tsunami.

http://www.memri.org/bin/articles.cgi?Page=subjects&Area=jihad&ID=SP83804
OBL finally got off his butt and is trying to recruit more jihadist to replace the 6,000 or so lost in Falluja, if this works out right, maybe we can attract a large percentage of the worlds jihadist and eliminate them in Iraq. It will be like Iraq the big jihad trap, easy to get with only one way out.

Catherine,

obviously OT.

Love everything you write (you get no ribbons for spelling, though:)
Any chance we (I) could see those short skirts you talk about?
