Iraq rebels in video taunt

"Keep up the dawah and the psychological warfare," one Muslim advised another not long ago.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Departing from fiery Islamic slogans, Iraqi guerrillas have launched a propaganda campaign with an English-language video urging U.S. troops to lay down their weapons and seek refuge in mosques and homes.
The video, narrated in fluent English by what sounded like an Iraqi educated in the United States or Britain, also mocked the U.S. president's challenge to rebels in the early days of the insurgency to 'bring it on'.

"George W. Bush; you have asked us to 'bring it on'. And so help me, (we will) like you never expected. Do you have another challenge?," asked the narrator before the video showed explosions around a U.S. military Humvee vehicle.

Threats intended to demoralise and frighten in the tense build up to elections at the end of the month were tempered with invitations to desert and escape retribution.

A masked guerrilla from an unknown group called the Islamic Jihad Army, eschewing past impassioned Arabic-language threats of holy war, told U.S. soldiers: "This is not your war, nor are you fighting for a true cause in Iraq."

"To the American soldiers we say you can also choose to fight tyranny with us. Lay down your weapons and seek refuge in our mosques, churches and homes. We will protect you," he said.

This offer of protection after surrender is of course in line with traditional Islamic theology, rooted in the Qur'an, of offering the protection of dhimmitude to "People of the Book" -- mainly Jews and Christians -- who submit to Islamic rule. Of course, that "protection" amounts to all manner of insititutionalized harassment and discrimination.

So the truth is out.

Like the Mafia, Islam is a 'protection racket'.

I'm sure the 'protection' that Mr. Berg got last year is the most instructive video any troops in Iraq need. A true 'heads up', indeed.

From what I hear (through friends of friends) the U.S. soldiers in Iraq are not demoralized but ARE pissed. (Both with the miserable ingrates that the freed Iraqi people in the country's central regions have turned out to be, and with the weak-sisters that Bush and Rumsfeld have shown themselves to be... failing to provide enough armor or, more fundamentally, enough troop strength to kick serious ass.)

Their anger, meanwhile, will be aimed at the terrorists -as long as they are in-country.

And the only thing that will get them into a mosque will be when they storm it to flush out an arms cache-hiding band of jihadis.

Prate on, Islomaniacs. It didn't work for the Japanese Imperial Army. It won't work now.

However, Eastwood - a staunch supporter of the Republicans - did admit he and Moore have a shared view of how American society should operate.

He said, "Michael Moore and I actually have a lot in common - we both appreciate living in a country where there's free expression.

"But, Michael, if you ever show up at my front door with a camera - I'll kill you."

And when Eastwood noticed the audience had erupted in laughter to his threat, he emphasised, "I mean it."

Why even Muhammed resorted to a "Fake" truce to

Why don't our governments do something simular in retaliation, like a warning:

" If Zarqawi and the insurgent currently tryingto thwart the elections, we will bomb every Mosque within a 50 mile radius of where we believe them to be hiding."

I know it's not going to happen, and the liberals would love it, but if we're really serious about getting these elections done on January 30th, then it's time we got more serious about dealing with the insectoid cretins trying to push that date back.
Current strategies aren't working, that much is obvious, so fresh ones are needed. Our forces command have vague ideas at least about which mosques are being used as bases, and we know muslims seem to care more about this dusty hives than they do about ntheir own friggin' children, so why not start hitting them where it hurts???
