I wonder if one of the hundred or so 'Muslim Boys' is one of the three people on trial for the killing of about-eleven-year-old black schoolboy Damilola Taylor in north Peckham.

Of the three accused, two are too young to be named whilst the third is called Hassan Jihad, I believe.

I have never met anyone with the surname Jihad, so I get the feeling that he is someone who converted to Islam rather than was born into it, cf Cat Stevens aka Yusef Islam, I've never met anyone with the surname Islam either.

The tragic death of Damilola was given enormous media coverage, and even a leisure centre in Peckham was named after him.

However, it seems strange that there is no mention anywhere of the trial. Maybe it is all very hushed up because at least one of his alleged killers is a Muslim.

This my first post, but I have been observing and learning for a while. Its really a shame how one has to really seek the truth.

Britain really has a problem on her hands lets hope that we are not as infested as she is. It is about time the the liberals there start waking up from this fantasy that is multi-culturalism above all. In this months Americas First Freedom which is the NRA monthly there is a great article concerning gun ownership rights in Britain, or lack there of. The liberal left has reduced the population to a defenseless target by which scum criminals have free reign. The rate of violent crime has been rocketing there as it is dropping here, a very sad situation. This coupled with prosectution for anyone who has the odasity to defend themselvs is creating a backlash against these idiotic policies. Of course it's got everything to do with the killers being muslims (or non-Whites)... do you really think the Damilola Taylor cases would have received the same sort of media coverage if anyone had supposed his killers were muslims? I don't think so. This court case is going to have the same low profile as the one of the Glasgow boy who was killed by a muslim gang last year. This is more than just a shame - it's criminal! I've been to the UK about 50 - 60 times to watch my beloved (but nowadays boring) West Ham but I have rarely felt as unsafe in the East End as I have felt the past three or four years. The UK is going down the drain quicker than Germany - at least as far as urban areas is concerned. I can't comment on the situation in Berlin though - haven't been there...

Wayne Rowe, 39, an ex-prisoner working as a Brixton community liaison officer, explains their appeal. "For many poverty-stricken kids growing up alienated on estates, often without fathers, the Muslim Boys have become a seductive, alternative family."

One who was nearly seduced was Michael, 31, a youth worker for a south London charity, who thought of joining the gang after growing up alongside many of their older brothers. The war in Iraq has taught them that those with the biggest guns rule, and so they have the biggest guns."

The trend of black youths converting to Islam has gathered pace in the past three years. Omar Urquhart, 34, imam of the Brixton mosque and himself a black convert to Islam, says: "Sixty per cent of their 500-strong community are black converts."
Unlike religions that have lengthy, formal conversions, the process in Islam can be instant. You neither have to convert in a mosque, nor in front of an imam, says the Muslim Council of Britain. All that is needed is that, in the presence of two other Muslims, you voluntarily make a declaration of faith "that none is worthy of worship except Allah" and that "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah".
But the conversions administered forcibly by the Muslim Boys are, says Imam Omar, totally anti-Islamic, as is their violent, criminal lifestyle.

When the time feels right, I ask him about Adrian Marriott. "Yeah, I went to school with him, grew up with him." he says, spitting out each word with venom.
Why was he shot? I ask. "His name came up, innit. He was involved in this Muslim Boys t'ing. He did something that doubled back on his people. So they killed him. Shot in his mouth and his throat."
HAVE you killed anyone? I press him. "I've stabbed people," he says. "Everyone I know has." Ever shot anyone? "Not at close range. My other bruvs have, obviously. But I ain ' t, " he half- smiles, " 'cos I got a little bit of heart. I don't mind f***ing someone up, but I won't blow them in the mouth. I turn my head when I see them things happen, bruv. It happens."
Winston, who has done time in Feltham and Bullingdon prisons for burglary, armed robbery, GBH and affray, says his life of crime started when he left home and school at 14.
"My father, f*** him, he was a low-life drug addict. He held up banks and went to prison when I was 12. I never knew the lovely life - you know, nine-to-five, kids, settle down. My life is the grime. Look at this s***-hole. I'm on the run. This year I've lived in 15 places just like this."
Winston invites me to look around the flat, which he calls "the slumberdrop" and resembles a bolt-hole in a war zone. In the bedroom, there is a bed with a cardboard box stuffed full of clothes; the second bedroom, piled top to bottom with rubbish, cannot even be entered; and the living room has no carpet, just a foam-rubber sofa without upholstery and a small television.
"This is where we do everything - count the money, sell the drugs, hide our guns," he boasts. Aren't you worried about the police catching up with you? "The police are f***-all - they don't bother me," he shoots back. "The people I worry about is the gangs. This t'ing of being a Muslim is a new t'ing. It used to be that being in a gang was an individual t'ing. You could come in and leave the next day. But this Muslim t'ing is for life. The only way I can get out of this is if I done a certain amount of murders, then I can get out at the last one."
When I ask Winston whether he believes in Islam, he prevaricates. "Sort of," he says. "I converted when I was in prison. I found it relaxing, we got better food. Now we all go to mosque together. If I refuse, they blow [shoot] me, innit. I pray twice a day: before I do crime, and after. I ask Allah for a blessing when I'm out on the street. Afterwards, I apologise to Allah for what I done."
Winston becomes angry when I show him the Brixton mosque's denunciation of his crew as "bogus Muslims", crushing their statement in his fist. "F***ing cheek!" he says. "Mocking us. There be retribution for this!"
Winston is now agitated again and he begins playing with his knives, laying them in patterns at his feet. "You lucky the other bruvs not here yet," he says. "They pick you up and throw you straight off the f***ing balcony."
One final question, I say. Where does your money go? "To the f***ing laundry, innit," he says, licking his teeth. Is there any connection between your gang and al Qaeda? He glares at me. "That's a deep piece of info. I support Bin Laden. I wouldn't ask that question, bruv - it's rude, it's dangerous, it's ..."
Time to leave. There are moments when words do not come easily to Winston, when he prefers to let his hands do the talking, and right now, they are being frighteningly expressive

BAREILLY: Cops at Izzatnagar police station here could hardly believe their ears when a duo they had detained on the suspicion of being small-time drug peddlers said that the thick-taped plates recovered from them contained radioactive uranium.

The metal plates were recovered from Khurshid and Aslam on December 8. The plates were in a lead-lined sophisticated metal box. The sceptical cops booked the two for possession of opium and, almost as an afterthought, sent the metal to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai for examination.

Jaws of the police brass fell when the BARC report stated that the 253.6 gram of dense gray metal was 99 per cent uranium by weight. The significance of this was stunning: the technology for making atom bomb is readily available, what’s not is enriched uranium as it can only be processed by state-owned sophisticated facilities.

Naturally, the discovery has now triggered a huge investigation by Central and state investigative agencies to get to the bottom of the mystery. How did the nondescript duo get hold of weapons-grade uranium? And where was it headed?

When asked by TOI, senior police sources didn’t rule out the possibility of the uranium having come from the Narora atomic facility in Bulandshahr district. The CISF senior commandant at Narora Atomic Power Station has written to the Bareilly SSP for information about the recovered matter.

Intriguingly, a list naming substances with specific industrial use was recovered from the two arrested persons.

Unfortunately for investigators, the initial delay meant that the man named by Khurshid and Aslam as the supplier of the metal, a Nagpur-based scrap dealer by the colourful name of Mahboob Bhai Germanwale, had died in the interim period.

Izzatnagar house officer R R Mishra feels that the duo could be tossing up a red herring by naming Germanwale. "In any case, how were we expected to believe that the metal carried by these apparent small-timers could help make a nuclear bomb?"

I do not buy the Standard on the way home very often so did not see this report until now. This all sounds bad, it is very bad indeed, but I am sitting here feeling relief that at last, slowly, slowly, some of the problems are being spoken of. I'm not as pessimistic as some of the posters here. That's not because I live in an ivory tower as I don't. These gangs were violent already but its where the money is going that is significant. It’s getting the authorities to realise that it is funding terrorism that will be the problem. And that they should do something about it. The powers exist to sequester the ill-gotten gains, but those powers must be used.
Then what is happening in the prisons needs to be examined. That would be a whole chapter on Islamic “missionary” work.

The truth is out there but it’s not us here that need convincing. I must watch out for the work of this particular reporter.

So what do you expect?

I do not think you have any reason for assume that. It is quite conceivable that such murders are taking place in the US but have not found their way to the MSM. And then there is the murder of the Armanious family in Jersey. It may be different MOs, but it is all the same - murders of Christians who do not kow-tow, and most definitely murder of apostate muslims.

The MSM, along with the law enforcement, has till now fought shy of raising this most insidious form of terrorism that is, in effect, destroying our free societies from within.

9/11 forms of terrorism or the bombing of public munuments, gets full media treatment, but this silent murder of individuals who have excercised their freedom of choice is, I believe, by far the most debilitating for a free society. If this form of terror is not stamped on in the most aggressive way, it has the potential of destroying the essence of a free society. Agree there is definitely something POSITIVE about bringing this into the open. TERMINATOR is so right when he talks about the Saudi stranglehold on the Media, their petro-dollars shut up any criticism of Islam and any articles or news that show Muslims in an unflattering way.

India will fight islam to the end, and is one of the places i would consider moving to if my own country goes under.

Pakistan is an islamic sinkhole, currently led by the best person they have had in a long time, but he looks awfully lonely to me.

Please, never confuse these two totally different countries.

And Hindus, who are the main religious group in India, do not want converts.

Muslims, 97% of Pakistanis, want to convert the world, by force if required.

The Hindus are on our side, more so than many of our own JudeoChristian left wingers.

The moslem population in India has risen from 9% to 13% over the last 40 or so years - likely Hindus are concerned, they remember the tens of millions of Hindus slaughtered by islam.

I do not agree that to be a 'lefty' one has to give up one's JudeoChristian ideals. Many lefties see themselves as acting like Jesus, turning the other cheek, showing forgiveness and kindness to their enemies, scrutinizing everything done by their own countries in their name, looking for moral lapses, and criticizing harshly when they think they see them....

Worthy stuff, but not realistic in a time of war. When someone comes to kill you, a gun is often a useful addition to prayer, and if someone in your small ( global ) village announces he will kill you tomorrow, you had better do something quickly, after praying for your soul and a steady hand.

As to abortion, i prefer to leave that difficult decision, certainly in the first couple of months, to the woman involved. When i see us on this planet treating human beings with love and respect - people not living on the streets, no mass poverty in rich and poor countries alike, the worst of barbaric regimes not flourishing - then i might be inclined to look at the rather more subtle subject of abortion. Or maybe that's just a rationalization, and i think the govt and others should stay out of this. My views may change - this is not an easy subject, especially for those women who need to face it.

For the record, while we all use phrases like lefties, people don't divide up that neatly at all; like fingerprints, every single person sees the world differently from all others.

Besides the unexpected presence, recent events made their appearance ominous. On December 1 of the same year, a one-month grace period had expired in which the Armed Islamic Group (GIA), rebels fighting the government, had warned all foreigners to leave the country. Two weeks later, twelve Croatians working at a hydraulic plant nine miles away from the monastery had had their throats cut, partly in retaliation for what the rebels regarded as ongoing mistreatment of Muslims in Bosnia at the time, partly because the Croatians were foreign Christians.

During the night of March 27, 1996, seven of the monks were abducted in a two month ordeal that would stretch out almost until Pentecost. A month after the abduction, a GIA communique offered several reasons why the monks were seized and several conditions for their safe release. Among the reasons given for why the action was licit, the GIA emir, Abou Abdel Rahmân Amîn (popularly called Djamel Zitouni), argued that the previous protection (aman) was improper because the monks "have not ceased to invite Muslims to be evangelized. They have continued to display their Christian slogans and symbols and to commemorate their feasts with solemnity." Gone was the mutual religious respect manifested by the dark visitors on Christmas Eve two years earlier.
Citing selectively from Muslim law, the emir also stated: "It is therefore licit to apply to these monks what applies to unbelievers who are prisoners of war, namely: death, slavery or exchange for Muslim prisoners."
. On May 23, the GIA announced that they had cut the throats of all seven monks—Dom Christian de Chergè, Brother Luke Dochier, Father Christopher Lebreton, Brother Michael Fleury, Father Bruno Lemarchand, Father Celestine Ringeard, and Brother Paul Favre Miville—two days before.
Their heads were found, but not their bodies, reminding some present of the story of John the Baptist.

I burst through the huge wooden door to Idi's room and stumbled through a crowd that had been gathered - some at rifle point - to witness the gruesome operation.

I was grabbed by the shoulder by two of Idi's goons and hauled to the centre table, where Kay's body had been laid out on a fresh pale blue sheet brought specially from Idi's bed. I prayed. At least, I thought, there's no gushing blood. Now for the surgical saw. I applied the teeth through the flesh to the bone joint. I knew that this joint would never be the same again after my crude work. One of the nurses fainted and the goon boys carried her out through the crowd. I was aware of retching noises from behind me in the audience. And all the while Idi Amin hovered around, flapping his arms and urging me on with cries of "That's it! That's it! Carve it, boy. Get that saw going."

Every push of that saw made me wince. At last it was through the bone and I went back in with the scalpel to clear away a few loose pieces of flesh before the limb came clear. The bare socket and the jagged end of bone in the shoulder didn't present a pretty picture. But the right arm swinging free in my hand was something else. I think that was the worst point for me. The room spun and I dropped the arm to the floor as I grabbed the table for support.

One of Idi's goons retrieved the arm and swung it above his head to give the audience a better view. I heard the gasps of the children, and then the crying. It was pathetic. Idi was shouting and clapping, like a child who has just watched the star clown at a kindergarten picnic. As the tumult in my shaking body died and the audience settled down to a quiet sobbing I set to with the scalpel on the left arm.

This came away just as easily as the first, and both limbs were placed, wet ends down, in a bucket of Dettol and water. Now for the legs. Idi was prancing now, alive with excitement and pleasure. Most of the audience were drooping with disgust and horror, the women wailing. But all were afraid to speak out at the atrocity being perpetrated on the body of Kay, once the beloved First Lady of Uganda and mother of two children watching the horror this day.

Now I set to work on the leg, just above the knees being the easiest place to operate. I couldn't help thinking of the men who had lusted after these once smooth and shapely thighs. The legs were removed quite simply, but the saw was very blunt towards the end and the teeth were jammed up with splinters of bone and bits of flesh. Now for the easy part - for me, anyway. The remaining nurse had threaded the surgical needle with thread and I started to sew back the limbs while Idi explained to his audience. "My good doctor (his word for me) is now returning the limbs to the body, but in the wrong order.

"I want you all to know that my dear former wife's hands and legs will be grotesquely turned the wrong way, her thumbs and toes point the wrong way, her joints twisted into unbelievable shapes. Her body will then present the sight of the weirdest spastic deformity that you have ever seen. Let this memory linger in your mind for all time. Be it on your own head if you ever allow an abortion to be committed." Idi fell silent.

I finished my work a good three and a half hours after I had started. I was exhausted. Idi's goons ushered the audience out and Idi disappeared through a door at the back of the room to his bedroom. It was all over.

I don't know what happened to her body. I don't even know where it's buried. Or if it is buried or in the guts of some flesh-hungry croc in the Nile. Frankly, I don't want to be reminded of the terror of that day. I don't sleep well at nights ... I have pills, you know. This tremble will always be with me, because of the nerves, my own doctor tells me. Sometimes I suffer severe fits of depression and can't help seeing that arm swinging in my hand again. It has almost driven me to end my life. One day, that may happen.

There are lots of guns in circulation in London.
Several years ago the police had a firearms amnesty and 32,000 weapons were handed in. Say the population of the conurbation is about 9,600,000 that means that there was one gun given up for every 300 inhabitants. So on average that means that there was someone with a gun on every street.

Assuming that there were lots of weapons not surrendered, that figure would be even higher.

There are lots of places where I pass on a daily basis where people have been shot, including with machine guns such as outside the 'Chicago' nighclub near Peckham library when someone opened fire on a group of people outside.

It's true lots of criminals use knives because there are the advantages of silence plus no ballistics evidence.

First of all, the use of statistics and the implied utilitarian argument is not a case for banning gun ownership. The left has been lying about gun statistics in England for over 100 years and I regard as lies anything I hear from gun-banning advocates or leftists in academia, government or the media. Even if it were the case that you are 100 times more likely to die or get shot in the US than England or some other gun-free utopia is not an argument against gun ownership.

I don't believe either or any of the statistics that you cite. The murder rate in New York is not 8 times higher than London and you are not 100 times more likely to be shot in the US than in England. You should not believe anything the BBC tells you.

People have the right to defend themselves since not everyone can be accompanied by a policeman wherever they go. Human beings have the right to life, liberty and property no matter where or when they are born. They have the right to defend their lives and property whether or not the government grants them those rights or any rights.

It seems that the British government and by extension its society is embarking on a social experiment to maintain the facade of politeness and civility by banning the tools used to perpetrate violence, while supporting the underlying ideologies that give rise to violence, crime and general contempt for human life.

Guns in the hands of a civilized people is something to be welcomed, not feared. It is the means by which a civilized society maintains its freedom and independence from internal and external barbarians.

So you obviously support the O's (and not Millwall, I hope). Well, both your and my team have seen better days. I just hope they will play professional football in the UK in 20 or so years because at the rate we're going we'll probably have Taliban-style use of the stadia over there. I'm still optimistic and hope that we won't have any mass executions at the new Wembley in 2020 but you never know. That's why we're here, I guess - let's stop these bastards.
