"America must fear the nation that does not fear death," or as a member of the mullahocracy's ideological twin, Al-Qaeda, put it, "The Americans love Pepsi-Cola, we love death." From Reuters, with thanks to Shiva:
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran, facing mounting U.S. pressure over its nuclear programme, has promised a "burning hell" for any aggressor as tens of thousands march to mark the 26th anniversary of its Islamic revolution."The Iranian nation does not seek war, does not seek violence and dispute. But the world must know that this nation will not tolerate any invasion," President Mohammad Khatami said in a fiery speech to the crowd in central Tehran on Thursday.
"The whole Iranian nation is united against any threat or attack. If the invaders reach Iran, the country will turn into a burning hell for them," he added, as the crowd, braving heavy snow blizzards, chanted "Death to America!"....
"America must fear the nation that does not fear death," said Mojtaba Hamedani, 45, a veteran of Iran's 1980-1988 war against Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

"The Americans love Pepsi-Cola, we love death."
Spoken like a true lunatic. Iran has made it plain that they love death by pursuing nuclear weapons. Therefore Iran in command of nuclear weapons is untenable. They make no bones about their love of death and they'll spread that love all over the world with nuclear weapons. What fools. Do they really think the free world will let it happen without a fight?
Start loving life, death is obviously for losers.

I thought everyone knew that Iran has been a burning hell since 1979.

"... we love death."
This kind of rhetoric worries me. Is this an example of Islamic fatalism, meaning that devout Muslims do not see any intrinsic value in life but death instead? Is life of a Muslim something to be endured rather than to be enjoyed?

Is it possible to fake an invasion, watch Iran nuke itself, then everyone goes home happy.

Am still waiting for those fat Mullahs to demonstrate how much 'they love death'...Last I heard they are living in luxurious villas and marrying young wives in their old age.

Considering that the Mullahocracy is immensely unpopular among its subjects/victims, I have a suspicion that the mullahs may be whistling in the wind. If the US invade Iran, it will be a much tougher job than occupy Iraq, mostly because of purely geographical considerations - larger, more populous, mountainous country, with large deserts; but it will not be different in one thing. The majority of the population will make a pretence of loyalty to the rulers and then will decide that it is not worth their lives to die for Khatami, especially since their shadow of democratic rights has so brutally crushed as soon as they tried to make it count for something. A lot of people would like to have a five-minute talk with a fat mullah and his Swiss bank account, with a good strong knife to help the discussion along. I even suspect that the Mullahocracy are pursuing the nuclear option because they feel other sources of power (especially the consent of the governed and moral legitimacy) drying up.

The mullahs sent 100,000s of thousands of young boys out to be blown up by land mines during the Iran/Iraq war. Currently, they keep untold numbers of Iranians passive (and, ridden with AIDS) and make money for themselves by allowing drug addiction to flourish, so I'd say they are doing a pretty good job of sabotaging their own nation.
And for them to only be able to get "tens of thousands" out to mark so important an anniversary for a nation of 70 million suggests that the Islamic Republic (without nukes of their own) isn't as omnipotent as they would like to have the world believe.

Jan Vink-
It is disturbing, because this nihilistic concept of the profanity of material existence creates the moral vacuum that the jihadist operates within.

As my Grandfather told me (WW2 vet) "The trick is not to die for your country, but to make them die for theirs." Dont they realize that this kind of rhetoric is same that Saddam enjoyed spewing? Maybe they are confusing us with France.

Peanut Carter, Peanut Carter, Peanut who?
He is still there, smirking as he always did, and warns against attacking Iran!!!
As far as I know, he's the one who set fire to the building and started to run, screaming "it wasn't me, it wasn't me...'

the misconceptions they have, do they not know what James A. Garfield had to say:
"If there is one upon this earth that mankind love and admire better than another, it is a brave man,... who dares to look the devil in the face and tell him he is a devil".
Islam is the DEVIL and I am doing what I can to put it in its place.
Yes it is good to be in service area as I am afforded many opportunities to "screw a muslim today", yes I will be right back..........in a.....few.....da....y.......s. ha ha ha.

I personally know of a number of Iranians who would like to see the mullahs in Iran blow themselves up.
