I was mildly amused when reading this story. Ofcourse it is now no laughing matter for Lynne, but a penny for her thoughts a couple of years into her jail sentence.

But the point I am interested in is that Lynne has been a top lawyer for 30 years, she has seen and savioured democratic freedom and rewards, I mean you people are dying in Iraq for that ..right....right!

So how can a blind and ugly muslim in jail turn someone like Lynne. Being blind and in jail what would he know about freedom?

Is the infedel faith & spirit so shallow?

Ofcourse in some cases I think it probably isn't, I hear of many thousands of infedel soldiers paying the ultimate price for trying to replace sharia with democracy ....at least that's what is said in public, but that's another story.

What this shows though is that a powerful, Western , smooth political and military machine on a troubled Islam is not enough....in your eyes each and every individual needs to be "JW aware"....and there in lies the rub.

Because the modern American is brought up on shallow materialistic values & not spiritual values he/she is extremely vunerable to powerful ideologies...say what you like about Islam...(which you usually do) you cannot deny it's attraction power.

I think this case demonstrates better than anything I could write about why Islam will become a "global brand of power this century".

Imagine if someone like Condaleeza Rice was "turned", you were already talking about her nievety yesterday. Best get her "JW'ed" pretty quickly then.

My real problem with you Gary. You can't post anything on any subject without venting against your personal bete noire, your boogey man, the left.

It detracts from what would be otherwise good contributions, but also indicates a lot of fear,hatred and bloody rage, you need mental health time. Seriously.

I honestly have difficulty, speaking as one just traveling through this solar system, of making a fine distinction between you and those whom you hate and fear.

It's my observation that opinions of those who consider themself "left" as regards the "right" are not universals, but stereotpyes, and so often wrong, and vice versa.

But leave it the two legged hairless ape, if the round peg doesn't fit into the square hole, he will smash it with a sledgehammer until it does :)

He listens to Egypt's news service on Short Wave radio and to CDs of the Koran....and I'm sure that Lynne did too...and will do so while affirming her faith in prison.

To make a statement that Abdel-Rahman or any other convicted felon who is incarcerated in a Federal Penitentiary gets to listen to a short wave radio is preposterous. If he is lucky he might get to hear some cnn coming from a wall mounted TV somewhere in the public area. This is whenever the guards let his as* out of his little cell which maybe for about 8 hours a day then it's back to his little cell. What a nightmare.

What Abdel-Rahman hears night and day is incessant noise coming from the other inmates and the constant slamming of iron doors. The noise alone will wear on this guy’s brain night and day. He's actually lucky to be blind so he doesn't have to see the misery as well.

If this kind of suffering makes one stronger then in a few years this guy ought to be the biggest hulk you've ever seen. But, this guy won't last long; his health will fail pretty quickly.

For Giaour to agree with this nonsense is understandable. Two peas in a pod would indeed describe Nasseem and Giaour.

PS: The nerve of some outsider to critize our culture and our values. Note: Nasseem's "materialistic adverts" comment. What other kind of advert is there. What a ridiculous thing to say. I guess it's safe to assume that Nasseem does not own or operate a business.

PSS: The US and other Western countries were doing just fine until this Islam thing came on the scene.

But then, we wouldn't have Clinton to blame for her demise.

Giaour~ I suspect I am hitting too close to the mark. Otherwise you wouldn't be wasting your time attacking one person (me) in such a demeaning, denigrating, demonizing, destructive fashion. Unfortunately for you I shall not be silenced. As with islam, your pet political/social projects shall also fail.
