Cyber attacks on anti-jihad websites are growing increasingly common. Here is news of one from a press release from the Anti-Terrorism Coalition:
On January 11, 2005, the Anti-Terrorism Coalition (ATC) was attacked by unknown hackers. Around 6 pm Eastern Standard time, January 11, 2005, the ATC-owned Facts About Islam website was attacked. All of the accounts on which it was hosted on were completely destroyed within an hour. Shortly after the attacks, a message was posted by one of the suspected attackers:"I WILL CONTINUE HACKING DOWN YOUR FILTHY ZIONIST SCUM WEBSITES UNTIL THEY DISAPEER! ALAHU AKBAR! f**kink kikes!"
The ATC immediately increased its security. Early on January 12, ATC's host and Super Verticals (the company that provided the urls for the ATC) got attacked as well, this made all remaining ATC sites unreachable, including the famous database of terrorists websites from the ATC. But as Super Verticals also provided urls to other websites, hundreds of websites that used a Super Vertical url got unreachable as well.
By January 13, the host was completely offline, making all ATC websites, including the main ATC website, the ATC's famous Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups, the ATC Intelligence website, the ATC & FAI Guestbook, and other websites unreachable. All other websites hosted by Freeurl were also destroyed.
This attack was not the first Mega-Cyber Terrorist Attack on the ATC. On June 27, 2003, 8-27 anti-terrorist websites, including the ATC, FAI (then called AMS), Anti-Jihad International, and others were attacked, including the Hindu Unity website and the now extinct Our Enemies website were targeted by the attackers. These attacks were executed in a somewhat similar style, according to the ATC. "Except this time, we were a greater threat to them, and they took out a whole company just to get to us," added Vice President B.
Vowing to return, ATC President Stalfos stated: "The ATC will remain shut down this time until we have a better security."
"We will find the attackers. We will not be influenced by terrorist thugs. We shall return," added Benyamin B.

Ok, question, Mr. Spencer, if you please- Were these attacks kept strictly secret? I don't follow much online save for a tiny handful of sites, including yours.
...or was this just 'overlooked' by the MSM?

That could happen here, too. If ever it does we can all go directly to http://co-jet.org. Robert won't miss a post at all. Susan B set up that site for those of us who want to try to become active in our communities, and I urge you to check it out and to contribute in whatever way you can and like. It's our site. It's your site if you're a jihadwatch supporter. And it's there for you in the event that anything should happen here.
I don't have the computer skills I need to continue our work in producing leaflets. We have some done already, and Susan B is distributing them across the American South East. It's very successful so far. I would like some help in producing more. We can't let the opposition do everything better than we do. If you want to take this struggle to a higher level then join me in making some more of our leaflets. Go to the co-jet blog and leave a message. Let's win one here.
Gary, KJ and Paolo, for example, have lots to communicate, so they might be better off doing it in print for those who might find it more interesting to find a leaflet in hand rather than a screen full of opinion that disappears in a day. If you have an issue or an idea for a leaflet on jihad and you think it'll work in your community, go to co-jhet's blog and let me know. We can perhaps do something concrete with it.
If you want to work on something for your community, let me know. I really want to do something more than wince every time the Moslems do what we should be doing. I'd love to crash their sites. I want to do far better than CAIR. Don't we all? Well, let's start small and work hard till we win. We aren't exactly competing with supermen, are we? Let's do something for ourselves and try to win.
Let's kick some butt out there, huh.

Well, then, if this is to be the islamic response, then western hackers should feel no shame in destroying islamic sites in return.
After all, Sura 9 demands defense against unbelievers.

A thought. To destroy so much so effectively took exceptional skills, abilities worth years of study. This is the same story as the September 11 bombers, with their diligently and expensively acquired airplane-piloting skills: jihadis are no good when it comes to being useful and productive citizens, but can rise to sheer genius and to the corresponding hard work, when only they see in front of them the possibility of causing destruction, unhappiness and loss.

I am a charter member of that bsite.And others. I am sorry,but this is terror these cretins wish for us to buckle to.The terrorists say they have the chats and blogs,internet covered.Bull.We are two steps ahead of them,and it is just the fact that everyone cannot be at the same place at the same time sometimes.

were these sites in Conus?.....i guess the truth is ticking them off and they try to stop it only to find we are at the ready and we are gunning for you,you cannot run or hide we have you surrounded come out with your hands up.
with spencers new found riches we need not worry here as he will most likely spend it all here in security measures.....too bad as i think he was planning a surprise party for all of us at his place:-)
