See also here; it's hard to tell if this was the same incident or not. In any case, it was Omar Bakri's crowd, threatening Muslims who dared vote rather than work to institute Sharia in Britain. And you remember George Galloway. He's the British pol who made news before the Iraq war coming under suspicion for taking bribes from Sadaam in return for his anti-war stance. "Islamist 'mob' threatens Galloway with gallows," from the TimesOnline, with thanks to all who sent this in:
A mob of young Islamist extremists allegedly threatened to hang anti-war campaigner George Galloway last night as as the country's most bitter election battle spilled into violence on the streets of the East End.The Respect candidate, who is fighting Labour's Oona King for the Bethnal Green and Bow seat in East London, was meeting locals in a tenant association's room last night with his daughter, Lucy, when a 40-strong group of militants burst in, his spokesman said today.
Locking the door behind them, the mob allegedly held Mr Galloway and his daughter captive for a few minutes and made threats.
"They said he was a false prophet and that was punishable by death," spokesman Ron McKay told Times Online. "They said for him that would be the gallows - that was presumably a play on his name."
Mr Galloway was only rescued by the arrival of two police constables, who escorted him outside to the car of his son-in-law Jay, who had called the police when he saw the gang arrive at the building on Globe Road in Bethnal Green.
Last night's incident was the second of the day involving young Islamic radicals out to disrupt the general election campaign. Earlier, a mob of protesters believed to be followers of the radical cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed stormed into the Regent's Park mosque in central London and disrupted a press conference by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).
Chanting slogans in English and Arabic, they stood on chairs and shouted insults at Iqbal Sacranie, the secretary-general of the MCB, accusing him of apostasy in urging people to vote. They then handed out leaflets which read: "Voting for any political party ... will guarantee your seat in hellfire forever."
The leaflets carried photographs of Tony Blair, Michael Howard, Charles Kennedy and George Galloway, describing them all as "shayateen (devils), crooks, criminals and false gods". An internet address was provided for the Saviour Sect, but an announcement was later posted on the website denying any involvment in the incident.
Police were called to the fracas at the Regents Park mosque, during which one protester seemed to throw a punch at Mr Sacranie. A 25-year-old man was arrested.
Mr McKay said that he believed the same group, the now disbanded El Muhajiroun, was responsible for both incidents.
"We believe it was the same group, the same people that actually carried it out," he said. "It was clearly a concerted plan to cause as much disruption and get as much publicity as possible.... It was the language of El Muhajiroun, the language of bigotry."...
Mr Bakri Mohammed, a Syrian-born hardliner, has been touring the country promoting the message that voting is un-Islamic and sinful, attracting hundreds of Muslim youths still angry at the invasion of Iraq and anti-terror laws which are perceived as anti-Muslim.

I want to know if any arrests were made in the second incident involving Mr. Galloway. If these type of terroristic threats don't warrant arrests, I don't know what does. My guess is that these dodgy constables probably just escorted Mr. Galloway away, as if he were the one responisble for the disturbance. They probably were terrified of hurting muslim feelings or being labeled 'racist.' Sure, lets just continue to let mobs of enemy thugs roam the streets of London, assulting and intimidating anyone who says something they don't like.

No, no, no, no, NO. You are all wrong and Bakri Mohammed, praise of Allah be upon him, is correct. Voting is unislamic. It is not deen; it is not in the way of Allah. No good-thinking muslim in the UK should vote.

These incidents happened on Tuesday 19 April, today is Thursday 21st April.
So when exactly did this group disband?
He is all nicey nicey to Miss King - now that he also needs police protection.

I can't find any coverage of the other candidates. The conservative and the Liberal Democrat have Moslem names but I can find nothing reliable about them. I have no idea whether they have also been threatened with hellfire for actually standing, logically they should have been. If I hear anything locally I will post it on an appropriate thread.

His daughter was there, and his son in law was outside. They are adults, so big enough to look after themselves. But an opinion piece on a socialist website by a Respect campaigner in another East London borough seemed to think that the 2 young grandchildren were also present.

It might help Europeans if they grasp the fact that Islam does not recognize physical borders. The Earth, in their opinion, belongs only to their "god" (allah) and is to be inhabited only by the faithful(muslims). Muslims do not care if it is the UK or Spain or the US.
I am watching with great interest the awakening of the countries that mistakenly allowed uncontrolled immigration of Muslims. Perhaps they will view the problem as worthy of attention sooner rather than later? But what will they do? A modern day secular "crusade" is out of the question...Much too politically incorrect, or is it? Desperate situations call for desperate solutions...No?

(2) Where o where are the voices of the "moderate" muslims on issues like this? If they really want to make the case that they have "integrated" into British society, you'd think they'd be able to speak up on something as fundamental as voting.

Just the article I needed after being remind what an unstable Islamic monstrosity which borders my homeland. The country responsible for said monstrosity never ceases to amuse with its self-loathing, self-destructive antics. You not only created Pakistan you let the worst of them in your country...then again as a show of support India might gladly offer you English some of our Hindutva youth - tried and tested with a proven ability of removing even the most stubborn Islamic stain. You used to use Muslims to control Hindu India, now use Hindus to control Muslim Britain. Everyone's a winner!

Muslim nations have no real economic or military power. Their main power, is a high birth rate - so long as muslims can offload their excess populations on the West. Limit immigration of muslims, and that very high birth rate becomes a liability, specially if economic contact with muslim nations is limited to the essential. Also make we need to stop modifying our codes to accomodate the rituals of islam. That is, make our societies inimical to the practice of arcane islamic rituals that are offensive to us.
It is relatively easy to bring down the islamic jihadi beast, and we can do this without a shot being fired, more or less.

1. Yes but fortunately we havnt had a 9/11 in Britain - yet.
2. Moderate muslims cannot refute the islamists as the islamists have the koran on their side. Robert Spencer has made this quite clear on many occasions.
Are muslims integrated in society? It is difficult for them to do so, as every imam, mullah tells them that it is shirk to integrate with kaffir society. I have sympathy for muslims in this, as well muslims in general, as they are the victims of an ideology they cannot leave on pain of being killed, maybe even by their own relatives.

Hopefully you never will. I heard a man on FNC this afternoon ( I do not remember his name) that said that the jihadis could hit us again at any time with a small attack, but were waiting for another opportunity for a spectacular attack. I hope our intelligence agencies are doing their jobs, and can stop them before we have an attack with the magnitude of 9-11.

i say to the Muslims of Britian who are causing the problems and even tho those Mulsims who do nothing to prevent the radicals from representing what all Muslims are about....TOO BAD, SO SAD!!!.....when the rest of the non-Muslim world wakes up and deports ALL muslims back to their Middle East countries, when these same followers of a "religion of peace" cry and bitch and complain about how they are being treated cruelly tell them just that...TOO BAD, SO SAD.....oh and and TOO LATE to that....nuff said
