Mr. Spencer,
I used to work in Saudi Arabia. I have first hand knowledge of the Saudis and Islam in general. As a result, I HATE all things Islamic. I view everything influenced or touched by Islam as eternally backwards. My question: Am I wrong to hate all things Islamic?

Hate is corrosive to the vessel as well as to the object it is intended for.
Revulsion may be the word you mean?
That is the feeling the stomach gets when it realizes it has swallowed something poisonous.
And reasonably upchucks it.
Islam is an 7th century idea that thinks that the free and ever-growing human mind should be subjected to a slavish and static state of thought.
This is headlock.
It is understandable for a person who loves freedom to be disgusted by this desire to imprison consciousness and chain the heart.
But don't let its venom, and its Kornaically-reiterated calls to hate, taint your vision.
Laughter cleanses even the dust of the pedophile prophet from your soul.
Laugh at its preposterous claims. ("Women are only worth half of a man.")
And be glad you escaped its shadow upon the human spirit.

Incredible! I am unable to call in! I'm in Quebec for a couple of days and Canada doesn't allow calls to that number from here. What bloody timing! This is appalling. From now on I schedule business during the bloody week and not on my spare time.

Canada does not allow 800 calls???
In fact, it is at the discretion of the home phone to allow access to either their home
state, entire US, or
Canada (and vice-versa).
The problem was that radio station KQNT-590 in Spokane didn't realize that they had to
advise their
telephone company that they accept reception of callers from Canada. They do now.
