Insurgents in Iraq attached explosives to a dog and tried to blow up a military convoy near the northern oil centre of Kirkuk.The canine bomb went off but the only casualty was the unfortunate animal, said police. The militants wrapped an explosive belt around the dog and detonated it as the convoy passed through Dakuk, 25 miles south of Kirkuk, said the town's police chief, Col Mohammed Barzaji.
"The dog was torn apart by the explosion which caused neither injury among the soldiers nor any damage."
Col Barzaji said the bomb had been detonated outside a Shia mosque. "Eight suspects have been detained."
This was not the first time that animals have been used in insurgent attacks. In 2003, donkey carts were used to conceal makeshift multiple rocket launchers in a flurry of attacks in Baghdad. Animal carcasses and human corpses have been used to conceal explosives.

could it be - the 'relgion of pieces" produces an overabundance of serial murders - a.k.a. terrorists (or PC - "militant", "insurgent")

Where, oh where, are the animal rights activists on this one?
A crazed animal rights activist shot and killed pim fortuyn in holland in 2002, all too prematurely ending a promising non-dhimmi political career in euroland.
Just imagine the pull a greenpeace would get making a documentary of how the killers acted against animal rights in this instance....

Feminists are apparently unmoved by the Grislamic oppression of women.
Gay rights activists are a little more vocal about the oppression of Homosexuals in Grislam.
Perhaps the Animal Rights terrorists will take some direct action in protest.
Has this been done much before? Using dogs to hold explosive I mean.

Remember that all things are permissible to further the aims of Islam!
Hiding bombs in brassieres and allowing children to carry them is permissilbe, and the use of animals is nothing new.

About the murder of Pim Fortuyn, I heard that the killer said that he had done it for the Muslims but that was hushed up.

In WW II, Germans experimented with using dogs as an anti-tank weapon. The idea was to train a dog carrying a contact detonated explosive backpack to crawl under a Soviet tank. They trained the dogs by feeding them under their tanks. The Germans dropped the idea when they realized that the dogs could not tell the difference between German and Soviet tanks.

The sort of person with a good enough rapport with the animals to train them to such a level is frequently not the type to let them be killed either.

Hitler supposedly "loved" dogs, and his last German Shepherd was used by him to test the cyanide pills that he and his new bride Eva Braun were going to bite soon afterward. The pills were effective, dog died, and then the two uber-dogs also died.
I only mourn the pooch. As I mourn this Iraqi poor critter, abused by the standard issue Muslim psychopaths in this instance.
I don't think these subhumans deserve anything when they die except 72 dobermans.
Now that would be Paradise!

I am not an animal rights activist, but I have one question? Why aren't the animal rights groups saying anything. If they don't know about this, their silence is understandable. However, if they do know about this incident and are choosing not to say anything, then they are hypocritical.
