"Hamid...specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his jihadi mission. Potential targets for attack included hospitals and large food stores."

Lodi jihad update: "Feds Charge Father, Son With al-Qaida Link," from AP, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:

LODI, Calif. - A terrorism investigation in this quiet farming town has led to the arrests of a father and son who said he trained at an al-Qaida camp in Pakistan and planned to attack U.S. hospitals and supermarkets, authorities said.

Federal investigators believe a number of people committed to al-Qaida have been operating in and around Lodi, a wine-growing region about 30 miles south of Sacramento, FBI Agent Keith Slotter said Wednesday. He would not elaborate....

The son, Hamid Hayat, was interviewed by the FBI last Friday and at first denied any link to terror camps. But the next day he was given a polygraph test and admitted he attended the camp in 2003 and 2004, according to an affidavit by FBI Agent Pedro Aguilar.

Hayat, 22, said photos of President Bush and other American political figures were pasted onto targets during weapons training, the affidavit said. At the end of training, participants were given the opportunity to choose the nation where their attacks would be carried out.

"Hamid advised that he specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his jihadi mission," according to an affidavit released through the Justice Department in Washington. "Potential targets for attack included hospitals and large food stores."

And the reaction of the U.S. muslim communities...as we've been told all along by our "fellow" Americans who "love" this country? Birds chirping...oh yeah and that American flag burning incident in Queens today.

Still don't get it?

And if they had succeeded in poisoning and murdering innocent people with their sick plan, the authorities would have stressed that it had nothing to do with Islam, was not an attack by Muslims on the West, that they were just depressed or mentally ill. And we would have to suffer through taqiyya-spewing clerics proclaiming that the two were not Muslims, that jihad is just an inner personal struggle and that Islam means peace. And politicians stressing that Muslims make such wonderful contributions to our society, yadda yadda yadda. So move along, nothing to see here. And anyone questioning or doubting these lies would be condemned as an Islamophobe, racist, bigot, etc., etc.

I love Lodi.

How they hell did these dipsh*ts ever find it?

A mosque in Lodi?

To me that sounds as crazy as a Baron Munchausen story!

Like a 300 foot cricket on the red spot of Jupiter.

Or a mouse with a map of Argentina on its liver.

If only it were just a lie.

Poor Lodi!

Just for doing this to such a nice place they deserve the death penalty.

Do you think that the authorities will give them a Koran in jail?? Probably as this had "nothing to do with the Religion of Peace".

When will the West wake up to itself?

Big Sleep,

Over the years, I've noticed quite a few small, placid, sleepy looking mosques nestled smack dab in upper middle-class suburban neighborhoods.

Ok. I'm convinced. Let's start the deportations this afternoon.

On the radio...investigators made sure to say that these terrorist arrests had no connection to the religion of Islam, and Islam is respected.
A local muslim said the arrestee's are innocent untill proven guilty even though they already confessed...bet there's a bunch more of them, and I bet they are nervous...

From duh_swami: On the radio...investigators made sure to say that these terrorist arrests had no connection to the religion of Islam, and Islam is respected.

Gee, was I right? Or was I right? Didn't take them long to drag this tired old cliche out. Oh no, no connection at all. Just your average activist protesting something or other - GM foods, or inadequate healthcare. Not Islam. No sirreeee! (Sheesh!)

I am not holding my breath. As the story unravels, I expect to read how surprised his friends and neighbors and even other family members are to learn of his associations Islamic terrorism. I can almost predict what they will say..."they are such a nice family, such nice neighbors... such a decent man".

CAIR who lambasted Fox for depicting a Muslim family in US as terrorists in "24 hrs", should be denouncing Hamid for stereotyping nice Muslims as terrorists. Maybe Fox should sue Hamid and his father for copyright infringement of their "24 hrs" storyline.

feralee,

Right you were. And it only took about three hours to prove that.

Well unfortunately i am a first time poster though i hope to add my 2 cents in the future. Frankly it seems they are taking the "ignore the problem" route as always and not rooting things out. Kind of makes you wish for the good old days when you hit it with a hammer and it was done. I am a US armed services intel geek and it is amazing how many people even in my shop reject the fact that the Qu'ran is a religion of destruction. The fact they target hospitals and non combatants stirs the blood a bit and reinforces my view a bit. Anyways i am rambling now sorry.

Accused aspiring Presidential assassin Ahmed Abu Ali, an American citizen and 1999 valedictorian of the Islamic Saudi Academy in Northern Virginia, requested to return to the United States--not only to commit the assassination but also to establish a terrorist cell.

http://www.islamundressed.com/#_Chapter_17
Chapter 17
Beslan, Russia & Islam
Aside from India and Israel, probably no modern industrialized nation has suffered to the degree that Russians have at the hands of Islamic terrorists. Having held the “Great Satan” title long before it was transferred to the USA, Muslim militants have taken particular glee in tormenting Russians. Muslim sites have posted movies depicting the beheading of Russian soldiers long before such acts became a spectacle to Westerns. What could collectively be described as Russia’s Sept 11th occurred late Aug, 2004, when homicide bombers brought down two commercial airliners, then a suicide bombing targeting commuters in Moscow, followed a few days later by a bloody hostage incident at a school killing hundreds of women and children. On Sept 3rd, 2004, Russians saw up close and personal the spectacle of children being mowed down by automatic fire at School No. 1 in the southern Russian town of Beslan, bringing the nation's worst hostage crisis to a shattering end of gunfire, explosions, …and death. Ten Russian commandos also died trying to prevent the slaughtering frenzy, as crying children tried to flee through the explosions and gunfire, some naked and covered in blood. Though the dead Islamic terrorists will be worshiped with other suicide/homicide extremists in large parts of the Muslim world, only those Russian commandos, with the parents and teachers who also died trying to save the children, will be accepted into heaven for their bravery and good deeds. Worldly praise and worship by peers notwithstanding, the reward waiting for the Muslim cowards for their behavior is not 72 virgins, boys like pearls, mansions, riches, and unbounded food and gluttony. If it takes an eternity, the unbending demands of Justice will be fully satisfied for the horrible Men and Women, and all others remotely culpable for acts against the innocent, divinely created, and loved children of Beslan.

Vardos, I'm glad you finally posted, please hang around, read the articles, and post some more! You seem to know a bit about Islam and I pray that you seize every opportunity to tell others what you know.

We debate all the time about how much our illustrious leaders in Washington really know about Islam, and if they've figured out that the enemy is Islam, not "terror" and not "a few fanatics." What do you think? Do they really believe Islam is a "peaceful" religion that has been hijacked by a few fanatics?! Are they selling us down the river for oil? Are they dhimmis, saturated in PC, drowning in a sea of politically correct relativism? ARe they so damned blind and ignorant that they can't read the Islamic war manifesto, the Qur'an, or study history and see for themselves what Islam has done to the world over the last 1400 years?

I believe they don't want to know. They think they can win the love of muslims by giving them our tax money, the blood of our young soldiers, and the promise of "democracy." What they apparently do not know is that muslims will hate us regardless of what we do, but eventually they'll figure it out. Maybe after Condi braces her brilliant mind and reads Islam's filthy doctrine and history. Perhaps then Mr. Bush will stop lying to the American public.
