I live in Northern Virginia, state of the "paintball jihadists," traitor Al-Timimi, and aspiring Presdential assassin and sleeper-cell-founder-to-be Ahmed Abu Ali. Lodi, CA, may be al-Qaeda stomping grounds, but that location is not the only one--not by a long shot. There needs to be some serious investigation into mosques, Muslim schools, Muslim businesses, etc. Pardon my profiling, as the pc advocates calling suspect-description, which is a valid law-enforcement tool.

I never believed those unnamed feds who tried to lull us into apathy. And that's why I visit Jihad Watch, as well as some other sites, every day.

The bust in Lodi was one which the msm couldn't ignore, but I still hear lots of yapping about other insignificant stories which won't matter one year from today.

I have a couple of thoughts on this. First only an idiot would assume there are no sleeper cells in the US. I would be surprised if the number is more than 1/2 of 1 %, yet this still makes a goodly number. Second, I am against racial profiling. That (to me) means internment camps (there is no record of American-Japanese treason but look who were put into camps vs Germans-Americans who had a goodly number of traitors. That does not mean just ignore things, it does not mean no surveillance, it does mean we must guard against two ills, terrorism and forgetting we are Americans, a nation within the law. A nation of equal protection under the law.

those who want to continue practicing Islam must pay additional taxes at the minimum they should pay for whatever is the cost to investigate them and their businesses to ensure they are not pro terrorist.
those muslims who convert or denounce must prove that they have converted (by burning the koran for example). their identity must be protected and kept safe to avoid brutal retaliation but islamic fanatics who would kill apostates and their families.
The number of "salman rushdies" is growing fast but lets help speed this up! if there is a proper process for disgruntled muslims to convert away from islam in peace without fear of retaliation, we will see more and more apostates come to the surface. I know there are many alternative religions who would accept them with open arms.halleluiah.
This will also narrow the search down to the smaller group of die hard freaks who wont back down from worshipping the devil.

Of course there are sleepers. The government doesn't like to admit it because it makes them look negligent. If we want to root them out we must raid mosques without warning. It's like a drug test. If you know in advance you will be tested you will pass but a random test without warning snares violators. The same should be done with Islam. Presume guilt because they are duplicitous plotters living in our midst. Let's stop worrying about descecrating the "holy koran" and worry about nabbing the murderes among us.

In the early 60's we lived on Kenyon Street, halfway up the hill. I attended the 7th grade at Ranier Beach Junior/Senior High School. How far is the 7700 block of Ranier Avenue from that school, and in which direction?

Kenyon, at that time, was a predominantly white, low to lower-middle class neighborhood. Located between the Seattle and Renton airfields, many parents worked for Boeing. The greater Ranier Beach area, including the schools, was probably a 30/70 black/white mix.

Driving through, for memory's sake, in '89, I noted the ratio had changed to about 100/0 and the neighborhood homes had taken a distinct asthetic tumble.

Has the American black population been completely replaced by African immigrants?

National Auditors criticise visa administration
The National Auditors have criticised the Foreign Ministry’s slack management of visa regulations.
Amongst other things they write “visa administration in Danish embassies and consulates is inadequately organised”.
The report follows an announcement by Foreign Minister, Per Stig Møller last October that an internal investigation conducted by the Ministry had uncovered 6 cases of “irregularities”, notably in the Shanghai consulate.
In total the Foreign Ministry said some 1000 foreigners had been granted unauthorised visas to come to Denmark since 1999, including 450 from China.

Terror case raises fears of sleeper cells
Hamid Hayat update. Sleeper cells? But there are no more sleeper cells, right? So much for the confident assertions of those unnamed officials: when it comes to Islamic terrorism, the feds seem confident of quite a few things about which their confidence is likely misplaced. Washington, DC, Jun. 8 (UPI) -- The arrest of two Pakistani-Americans on charges that they lied to federal agents about undergoing terror training in Pakistan has highlighted the threat posed by "second generation" Islamic militants and the persistent presence of terrorist bases in a country that says it is an ally in the U.S. war on terror.
An FBI affidavit says that Hamid Hayat, 22, told agents he had spent six months in 2003-2004 at a camp near Rawalpindi in Pakistan, where he received paramilitary training and anti-American religious indoctrination.

"Hamid further stated," the affidavit goes on, "that he and others at the camp were being trained on how to kill Americans."

Hayat and his father Umer Hayat, 47, both from Lodi near Sacramento, Calif., face charges of lying to federal agents about the training.

The admissions allegedly made by the Hayats will undoubtedly raise questions about the status of Pakistan as a U.S. ally in the war on terror, especially given the location of the camp -- just a few miles from the capital, Islamabad.

"That's a bit like having a terrorist training camp on the outskirts of Washington, D.C.," said Richard Clarke, former White House counter-terror czar.

"The closer to the capital (these facilities are) the more obvious it is that the (Pakistani) authorities are turning a blind eye," Hassan Abbas, a former senior Pakistani law enforcement official told United Press International.

According to the affidavit, "hundreds of attendees from various parts of the world" were trained at the camp and then sent to "carry out their jihadi mission" to countries "including the United States, Afghanistan, Iraq, (and) Kashmir."...

The Hayats, according to the complaint, were related by marriage to an Islamic religious leader and notorious militant Qazi Saeed Ur Rehman. According to the affidavit, Rehman ran an Islamic school, or madrasa, that funneled would-be jihadis to the training camp.

The declassified Canadian report notes that Islamic culture places a premium on "obedience to parental figures," adding that, "The duty to obey also explains why some youth have agreed to go to Afghanistan and Pakistan for terrorist training."...

Filial piety causes jihad. Got it. They'll say anything to avoid coming to grips with the implications of the fact that Qazi Saeed Ur Rehman, like so many others, ran an Islamic school that trained mujahedin. After all, how could he run an Islamic school and yet misunderstand the Religion of Peace? How is it that so often this misunderstanding of Islam comes from the schools? Could it be that -- Islam actually teaches warfare against unbelievers? That is a prospect that so far Canadian and American officials have found too fearsome to contemplate.

"Assuming these allegations (against the Hayats) are all true," said Cressey, "this is a very disturbing picture... You have an al-Qaida (training) infrastructure in Pakistan into which recruits are funneled from all over the world, and you have al-Qaida operatives then able to come to the United States to prepare."

I lived in Mt. Baker when I was a kid--went to John Muir Elementary and Helen Bush. Things have sure changed a lot; we have noticed everything you have mentioned. Being so close to Blaine, it wouldn't surprise anyone familiar with the area that it is chock full of sleepers. I remember Rainier Ave. well--it sure has changed.

I guess we all know about al Qaida sleeper cells, with the exception of FBI Director Mueller, who stated on nationwide television that he was "unaware" of any sleeper cells of al Qaida in the U.S.

Well. I have new for Mr. Mueller. The citizens are VERY aware. If our Protectors won't do what we hired them to do--to uphold and defend the Constitution, and to protect our nation from enemies both domestic and foreign, then we can take time off from work and do it for them.

I discovered a BIG Sleeper cell.

It is in Washington, D.C.

I located it the last time I visited.

It is situated in a large white building with a long stone staircase in front and a dome shaped roof.

Men in suits and a few women in business mufti shuffle in and out daily (except when taking long vacations).

The sound of something that seemed like snoring was audible from my vantage point at the Washington Monument.

Although, alternatively, it may have been a vital argument over something essential to national security and the existence of the nation ...something pressing and demanding of immediate attention ....like the survival of the fillibuster.

Given that Al Qaida took 8 years between the failed 1993 WTC bombing to regroup and wait for the American people to be lulled back into their mindless distractions of stupid tv trials of celebrities and sports, before striking again with devastating suceess in 2001, is it any wonder that they are regrouping now to carry out another strike ? Probably one of even more lethality and devastation.

They are exercising every possible tenet of Islamic deception and burrowing deep into the oblivious fabric of the country. CAIR forms the political arm and the foot soldiers like the Hayats are the military wing. 9/11 was but the first salvo in war which will continue till one side or the other wipes the other one out.

According to an article in todays Washington Times the government has rolled up 150 sleeper cells and 3000 Al Qaeda operatives since 2002. So it seems the US government must be doing something right.I think good intelligence work rather then luck led to Hamid and Umher's arrests. I'd also be willing to bet father and son were convinced to give up the two "imams". Here the story of the latest arrests in The Washington Times.

Geez. It's said that you can never go home again. Perhaps, in this case, that's just as well.

Do you live nearby there, or just pass through on your way around town?

I felt very comfortable there as a young kid. I delivered the Seattle PI very early in the morning, on foot, and never had a problem.

The only crime I remember was that someone killed a young girl in the woods, and a RB high school student was shot to death near the school. Perhaps that was the beginning of the end.
