Whatever you think of Kahane, says this piece, his was a jihadist murder on American soil. "Rabbi Meir Kahane, Vindicated," from Israel Insider, with thanks to Kemaste:
No matter what you think of him, whether you hate him or love him, the name Meir Kahane is a name that will forever be engrained in the history of the Jewish people. But just this past week, fifteen years after his murder, he was vindicated on the world stage via American national television.Rabbi Kahane, born in Brooklyn in 1932, was an author, political activist and a member of the Israeli Knesset. When concluding a speech in Manhattan, Rabbi Kahane was assassinated by El-Sayyid Nosair, an Egyptian and member of an Arab terrorist cell operating in New York in 1990. Nosair was one of Sheikh Omar Abd El-Rahman's men, who would later be convicted for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing; today, he is serving life in prison. The gun that was used to kill Rabbi Kahane was supplied to Nosair by Wadih El-Hage, who is a member of Al-Qaeda convicted of conspiracy to kill American citizens in the 1998 US embassy bombings.
With jihad being conducted around the world, and especially after the mass murder of September 11, 2001, some Jews have been attempting to remind the world of what Kahane was warning them, as well as noting that Kahane had been the first victim of jihad in the United States. Of course, when Jews who supported Kahane speak up, they generally don't catch the attention of the liberal media, but they repeated their cry for over a decade to recognize that the slaying of Kahane was the initial attack Islamic terrorists had brought against American citizens. Finally, their cries have been accepted as fact.
The National Geographic cable television channel has just released a new four-hour documentary called "Inside 9/11". The focus of the special is not to show devastation in New York, but to present the facts in the form of a timeline, so that people can understand what happened, who was - and is - attacking America. The documentary has received rave reviews and the cable networks consider this broadcast so important that they have made the show available for free in areas that don't carry the National Geographic channel.
This well-made production explains what many of the Jewish people have been shouting to the world. The documentary starts with the assassination of Rabbi Meir Kahane and goes on to dedicate a portion of the first hour explaining how the rabbi was targeted by an Islamic terrorist. The significance is to recognize the fact that Kahane was assassinated as an act of jihad against the West, and to show that organized Islamic terror cells have already been successful in sending an operative into the United States to successfully murder someone they saw as problematic. If they did it once, they can, and will, do it again.

The Nationa Geographic Channel ran the 4 hour documentary numerous times over the past 2 weeks. It would be nice to see it shown on at least one of the natonal televisin channels-- IE ABC,CBS,NBC --Of course i'm not going to hold my breath on that one.
It was enlighting to watch the charismatic, and forcful preacher John Hagee of San Antonio,Texas preach on what fundamental Islams violent Ideology has been perpetrating all over the planet yesterday on cable. Reverand Hagee pulled no punches and laid the threat out of islamofacism to our free societies very strongly. I fear that had he preached what was said yesterday in his church in Australia that he may be sitting in jail today.

Where exactly on cable was this? Is there any way to access it, or a transcript? How wide was the audience (what cable network it was on should give a clue). Any contact information for the good Reverend?

I believe it was on one of the religious cable stations, but honestly, I was so engrossed in his no nonsence points on the threat of Islamism that I did not check the channel; being the channel surfer I am. I do know for a fact though that he has produced a DVD or VhS tape of the sermon or sermons-- In fact it may have been a two parter. I think the audience was somewhat stunned by the presentation as I coming from a minister as it did. Very few TV ministers have confronted it with such force he even had a large poster behind him that projeted the threat of Islamism.

CGW: The san Antonio Church was filled to capacity as it usually is for reverand hagees Sermons. I believe he appears on other channels as well-- I havent' checked yet but I think we can easily find him on the internet.

Oh yeah, always make a snide comment about the "liberal" media. GOPers can't NOT talk about liberals when discussion Islma just like Jihadists can't NOT lie about Israel when talking about "palestine."
I bet the Washington Moonie Times, FUX News, Wall Street Journal, the Drugde Report, Hannity and Colmes, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Clear Channel, Rupert Murdoch, and MSGOP will be ALL OVER running stories that heap praise on Jews who speak up for supporting Rabbi Kahane. They are, right?
Yeah, it's too bad we didn't listen to Kahane. But like Winston Churchill said, "America will always do the right thing, as soon as they've exhausted all other possibilities."
BTW... it seems to me that I read somewhere that Jihadis had murdered Kahane's son and his bride on the day of their wedding. Chalk up another victory for the Religion of Peace©.
The population score is still 1:5 against Islam, so there is still hope for the world.

Good point... another way to say that is that a culture that doesn't protect it's minorities will eventually let anyone be persecuted. They'll ALWAYS keep looking for another scapegoat. Eventually you wind up with a Khmer Rouge kind of situation where they're killing anyone that even wears GLASSES because they "might be intellectual" or whatever.

I guess he must have had a Muslim or an Israel-hating phony hippy on his jury. I'd be interested to see a report on Nosair's jury, and get a little "where are they know" info. I wonder if any of them have been benefactors of any grants or gifts from "charities" or "charitable people" from the Middle East.
The crazy thing is that there are STILL millions of people that claim that Jews control the whole world and that Mossad sends assassination squads all over the world to kill Muslims. So I wonder when Nosair was assassinated?

I'm no fan of Meir Kahane, but Nosair's trial for his murder back in the early 90s is still a very instructive example of the fragility of American justice as it pertains to the jury system.
Nobody saw Nosair actually pull the trigger, but immediately after he was witnessed running from the scene, was chased and actually fired upon his pursuers. When finally apprehended, he was in possession of the murder weapon.
During his trial, Nosair's Jewish* lawyer proceeded to weave a complex (and completely implausible) tale of intrigue and conspiracy in which Nosair was the unwitting fall guy who was meant to be caught while the actual perpetrators made their escape. It was a lame defense that once upon a time wouldn't have stood the light of day.
But by the early 90s, conspiracy theories were already in vogue here and either one or two jurists actually bought into the story. The jury became hopelessly deadlocked, but instead of packing it in, they compromised; Nosiar was found innocent of Kahane's murder but guilty of a weapons possession charge that violated New York City's strict gun ordinance. He received a sentence that would have had him out in a matter of a few short years.
Subsequently, he was recorded in prison conversations with his visiting jihadi comrades planning future terror attacks on New York City infrastructure and this is the conviction that got him a life sentence. Justice was ultimately done because of the efforts of tenacious federal investigators and because of Nosair's own carelessness.
Still, I've never forgotten the incedulity I felt when a man caught running from a murder scene with a smoking gun was found innocent by a gullible jury. It was at that moment that I realized how antiquated the unanimous-jury system in America really is. One juror with an agenda can single-handedly thwart the dispensation of justice. It's past time we change the system to a super-majority, where 8 or 9 votes can ensure a guilty verdict.
*I make this observation only to point out the irony of a Jewish lawyer weaving a pack of lies in order to free the Muslim murderer of a fellow Jew. This irony reflects not on Judaism or America, but on the ethos so prevalent in the legal profession.

I was listening to a lecture which was recorded from a rabbi who was a student of Kahane's, and who knew him well, and whose lecture on him, the kind of 'warrior' he was, the kind of man and jewish person he was, was entirely different than the portrayal of the 'ultra' right wing nut, that the establishment tries to pass off upon him.

National Geographic in the UK are showing Inside 9/11 this weekend, Sunday 4th September at 9pm and 10pm for parts 1 & 2 and Monday 5th at 9pm and 10pm for parts 3 & 4.
I'm sure it will be widely ignored....

I first heard of Meir Kahane by accident. He was being interviewed by Larry King on King's late-night radio program in Chicago. Kahane made a lot of sense to me at the time. This was less than a year before he was killed.
KJ has a worthwhile idea about Nosair's jury. The jury profiles given to the lawyers should be a matter of public record. If anyone in New York City wants to take on a little project, then an afternoon phone call to the Court Clerk will help to locate the file (which is probably several boxes). A visit to the archives will probably yield each juror's name, age or birth date, address, marital status and spouse's name, religious affiliation, number of children, criminal convictions, and whether they have served on a jury before.
It's only been fifteen years, so many of the jurors could still be found for an interview. This might lead to an interesting discovery or two. An interesting person to interview would be the prosecutor on the case, who might be a judge by now.

I never understood what was so "controversial" about Kahane, since he only said what the Jihadists declare: when it comes to "Palestine" and "Israel", the Jews must go.
Kahane said: I choose that you go, instead.
And got shot as an extremist.
While the "palestinian" shooter types get the cloak of "displaced martyrs" for declaring the same intention.
The Israelis will be overwhelmed by the birthrate of their opponents in this century, so they missed their chance to simultaneously survive and also be loathed by the hypocritical world and tagged as as "racists" ("ethnic cleansing" wasn't a phrase, yet) for expelling those -inside Israel- who aim at the destruction of that tiny, free nation.
1967 was their best chance. 1972, after the Olympic massacre, would have been their next to last chance. And, in response to Kahane's assassination, they could have done it in his memory.
Now it seems too late.
Now we need to watch for the next diaspora of survivors.

Fast forward to today: We have that PoS, (W)ahabbster, giving the terrorist PLO their own filthy, arab, muslim terror state to please his saudi masters.
Guess what's in store for you America...Here are several hints: 1) It's nuclear, 2) it's muslim, 3) it's arab, 4) It's here, 5) it goes boom, 6) the "intelligence" tossoffs will do nothing, 7) 9/11 and the Crescent City will be parties comparitively.

Jerusalem Police arrested 12 Kach activists yesterday for passing out pamphlets that said “Kahane Was Right.” Kach party leader Rabbi Meir Kahane was murdered 14 years ago today.
Jerusalem Police arrested 12 activists of the Kach organization yesterday. Their crime: passing out pamphlets that said “Kahane Was Right.” The reference is to the former Knesset member, head of the Kach Party, and founder of the Jewish Defense League, the late Rabbi Meir Kahane. Rabbi Kahane was murdered in New York 14 years ago today– the 18th of the Hebrew month of Cheshvan – by an Arab terrorist.
The police confiscated the pamphlets and continued to deliberate today whether passing out such material violates Israeli laws of incitement. Rabbi Kahane’s Kach Party platform called for the transfer of the Arab population from the State of Israel. The party was outlawed in a Knesset vote just prior to the 1988 national elections.
Rabbi Kahane first publicly declared his idea of “transfer” in a 1971 address delivered at Haifa University. The concept was considered so radical at the time that his speech triggered off spontaneous rioting and violent protests on campus.
In the wake of decades of Arab terror, however, the transfer program of Rabbi Kahane has risen in popularity. According to an October, 2004 survey commissioned by Channel 2 TV, 58% of adults aged 18-22 support “transfer,” while 26.4% believe that Rabbi Kahane was correct in his call to expel the Arabs. One third of those polled believe that Kach should be declared a legal party once again.
In commemoration of the anniversary of Rabbi Kahane’s death (Yahrzeit), hundreds of people gathered at the Jerusalem gravesite of Rabbi Meir Kahane in the Har Menuchot cemetery. The Kahane organizers postponed a memorial ceremony that was to be held at the synagogue of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Jerusalem’s Kiryat Moshe neighborhood.
