Or to jihad. Jeremy Loome states the obvious -- which needs to be stated and restated -- in the Ottawa Sun (thanks to Kemaste):
The picture is not pretty: a border that is wide open, citizenship that can be both bought and paid for – or merely stolen – with ease, terrorists who can recruit in anonymity, politicians who can be legally bribed, and intelligence and police funding that is 10 years behind where it should be.And if you think that’s bad, says Oliver Revell, just wait until something actually blows up. The FBI’s former director of counter-intelligence says he loves Canada, sits on Canadian corporate boards and owns property here. But he’s waiting for the proverbial other shoebomb to drop.
“I love Canada, always have,”says Revell. “But the naivete there has always been of great concern to me. Burying your head in the sand and expecting problems to always happen somewhere else simply doesn’t work, and the price will be difficult for Canadians to accept, perhaps even more so than it was for us after Sept. 11.”
Read it all.

Canadian Muslim and Arab groups deeply concerned over CSIS practices
Wednesday, September 14, 2005 5:42 pm
For immediate release
(Ottawa, Canada - 14/09/05) - The National Council on Canada-Arab Relations (NCCAR), the Canadian Arab Federation (CAF) and the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CAN), supported by a coalition of organisations and community leaders, are alarmed over allegations that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) discriminates against people who associate with Arab causes.
A leaked report written by the former chairperson of the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC) following a complaint by a diplomatic appointee who was denied top-security status has found fault with CSIS for leaping to the “unqualified” conclusion that a person who supports Arab causes should be deemed suspicious. The report also says that CSIS attempted to mislead SIRC to save the spy agency from embarrassment.
This new information comes one day after CAF and CAIR-CAN read a closing submission to the Arar inquiry regarding the use of racial profiling by Canadian officials, which Canadian Arab and Muslim organizations denounce.
The submission can be read here:
http://www.caircan.ca/downloads/CCC-OS-09132005.pdf
“It has been a long held view by many in Canada that taking up ‘Arab causes’
is dangerous and can lead to unnecessary scrutiny by Canadian security officials,” said NCCAR President Hussein Amery. “In the past, many members of the Arab-Canadian community complained that CSIS agents targeted them by ‘inviting’ them to meet at local hotels and coffee shops and that the activities of Arab-Canadian students on campus were under surveillance.”
While the coalition recognizes the need for Canadian security agencies to ensure the safety and security of Canadians, we are extremely concerned with what appears to be an automatic suspicion levelled at those associated with Arab issues.
“Canadians provide security agencies with extraordinary powers to enable them to do their job, and it’s only reasonable to expect and demand for the installation of safeguards to protect against mistakes and biases,” said Omar Alghabra, CAF President. “Recent patterns increase the level of urgency in ensuring that the upcoming Anti-Terrorism Act Review is taken seriously where new safety measures are enacted,” he added.
“Both CSIS and the RCMP have now been accused by their respective review agencies of attempting to hinder efforts to examine their actions,” says Riad Saloojee, CAIR-CAN’s executive director.
“This leaves all Canadians, including Canadian Muslims, without any effective recourse when their rights are violated. This is extremely alarming given the extensive powers that CSIS and the RCMP have over the lives of Canadian Muslims, as had been seen with Maher Arar and the security certificate cases,” adds Saloojee.
Arab- and Muslim-Canadian groups call for an open discussion of the policy espoused by CSIS vis-à-vis Canadian supporters of Arab issues and urge Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Minister McLellan and Prime Minister Paul Martin to take a closer look at the chilling effect such policies have on Canadians and on Arab Canadians in particular. The organisations also call on the minister to improve the training of our security services, and review closely CSIS’ rules and procedures as well other security agencies entrusted with protecting Canadians.

Except among the old timers there is unfortunately the deluding effects of (bleacchh) "multiculturalism", which is a BANE on any society - when one says that another culture is EQUAL to ones own. Well, it is not.
And as for the decptive Muslim associations asking for "human rights", but really entitlements, special privileges, one must say, honour this country and its laws, OR GET LOST.
Thank heaven for Canada's CSIS which has a lot of ex cops in it who are good at what they do; but even they wont save the country from liberal appeasers who not only let the Fifth Column in, but give them a special seat at the table.

Oh yes and CAIR is a joke, a bunch of lying liars out to hoodwink or overbear the country taking (taqiyying) advantage of liberal political correctness.

This past weekend Toronto had a Mock-disaster
practice at a busy Subway station and a major
underground link to the downtown office towers near the railway station at the southern portion of the Subway loop by the waterfront, the Government made a statement that there is a credible threat from terrorists that want Canada to get it's troops out of Afghanistan and stop working with the USA in the war on terror.
Gee, what a small world , two major Islamic Org.'s in Canada held a weekend conference and the British Politician Galloway spoke at one of the functions , Galloway aserted Canada is guilty of murdering Muslims and being occupiers in Afghanistan with 1000 troops there.
He fired up the crowd by demanding Muslims take action and force the Governemnt to get out of Afghanistan or expect a response for the injustice and occupation of Muslim land.
Galloway should research the 9/11 slaughter before shooting off his mouth and making Islam look even more of a death-cult and religion of revenge and submission.
Canada is part of NATO and the NATO pact states that any nation attacked is deemed as an attack on all NATO members , Canada entered WW2 in September 1939 just days after Hitlers first leg of his European tour to build the Fatherland and the agreement was that we supported a non-agression pact and Germany would suffer a response if attacking any of the protected nations.
The USA had to wait for Pearl Harbour because of a non-agression agreement and could only respond to an attack, but Hitler made a declaration of war about 10 days after 12/7/41
and the gloves came off to bring the war to Germany.
Galloway didn't even know that Canadians were among the 65 nationalities that lost citizens to the Muslim hi-jackers that claimed to speak for Allah and Islam, Osama and Al-Qaeda made a declaration of war against the West and
Canada was identified .
Maybe Muhammed believed that all non-Muslims are gutless cowards that will bow down to the God of Islam and not die for their liberty and human rights, but we in the west have tasted the blood of war to stop a dictator and fascist that's bend on Global donination.
Al-Qaeda has been mislead by people telling them that we are all cowards and won't give our lives to protect what we have, but Canada was attacked on 9/11 by proxy as part of NATO, and since all plane were grounded we never saw follow up attacks on Canada. Osama was sheltered in Afghanistan by the Taliban and a pro-taliban group of Muslims lived in Torontos east end and send money to the bogus charities .
Galloway spoke of the exact threat that canada is facing and why the hell he was allowed into canada to spew his call to violence by Muslims in Canada to get our troops out of Afghanistan , the Arar case is full of lies by Muslims and CAIR doesn't tell the whole story about his dual-citizenship and fleeing Canada with his family when CSIS asked to visit him about a Ottawa terror cell that we now know was linked to a planned London bombing through Momin Khawaja of Ottawa .
CAIR boasted over the lax security and immigration that allowed the 19 hijackers into the USA and allowed them to stay to plot the attack, and CAIR gloated over none of them being American Muslims.
So in 2002 a Syrian Muslim male deboarding a plane from Tunisia at the JFK airport with a Canadian passport , Customs questioned him and now CAIR screams profiling and Islamophobia
when the USA took their advice to be nore cautous at entry points and Airports.
Arar had a odd history with his globe trotting and left his family in the middle east while claiming his Airmiles plan forced him to fly from Tunisia to Canada via JFK , but CAIR has a office in N.Y. and Mosques harbour illegals there under bogus ID or claims they are Clerics.
What would you do in that case after CAIR mock the security system, and all that happened was that Arar was denied landed staus in the USA and protocol states the person returns on the flight or to their country of origin , Arar was a refugee but never denounced his Syrian citizenship and had travelled to the Middle East befor and married a Canadian as some Muslims do to stay in Canada once they have children.
CAIR has protected the operations of terror cells by proxy and they love to wait until after the Jihad to denounce the terror and then say they weren't True-muslims.
If the West is so bad and Muslims yearn for Shariah-Law then they should find an Islamic State to enjoy this utopia under Allah's rule
and stop coming here to whine about all the ills of Islam being the fault of the west and "The jews" .

Most of the Canaadians I deal with daily are so obessed with anti_Americanism that even the best of them, highly intelligent, well-educated, sophisticated people turn into ranting idots over-whelmed by emotion, choking on hatred, spitting mad and stupid. How does it come about? The governemtn, the media, the schools, the history of this miserable place all encourages it.
Those who recite the cliches about Canada being a laid-back place for peacenics and pacifists and free medical care should give a listen to these creatures. They are so obsessed by America that at any shopping mall one can't throw a rock without hitting one. This nasty place is filled with ranting, ugly people who are sick in the head. These people are not your friends, have never been so, and when the violence comes to them they will not be your friends in need, they will accuse America of being at fault for the troubles.
No, not all Canadians are stupid bigots and hate-mongers. I know the one who isn't. He moved out years ago.

Thanks allot Galloway !
Dateline 7:00 pm Toronto canada:
Currently there is a bomb threat at Yonge and Eglington area near the Subway , the bomb squad is on the scene and a robot is trying to defuse this homemade IED .
I'm not the least surprised that just after the tirade by a Muslim to rise up against Canada for their occupation of a Muslim country that this bomb was planted , Jihadist have been in Canada for a long time and Shriah-law may be behind this threat since it was rejected by the Ontario Government.

Those arab and muslim terror groups operate UNINHIBITED. I have personal first-hand experience.
Any of you CSIS weenies or RCMP losers care to debate this?
I'll meet you at the Peace Arch.
Being a terrorist breeding ground harboring those seeking to destroy the US? - You will get yours you bastards.

ala-sux:
I had no idea that monster Galloway was here as well as the US, but then he has a book to flog doesn't he? How anyone can be so perverted as to admire and support a man who heaped praises on the government of Syria, Muslims in particular, shows you how insane some people are.
FYI, Christopher Hitchens, the "anti-Galloway" is coming to Toronto in November. (He's also flogging a book.)I think he's scheduled for an appearance on TVO's Diplomatic Immunity and one at the Holy Blossom Temple under the sponsorship of Heather Reisman (Chapters/Indigo) and her husband.

As a Canadian I can certainly confirm (not that any confirmation is required) to the pervasivness of Anti-American sentiments in Canadian society. Indeed most federal elections are won on this platform, though it is never referred to as such. But as I am writing you from Iraq, I respectfully ask that you not paint all Canadians with the same brush. That said, the other assertions are very much correct and show an intimate understanding of how those in Canada with influence try to assuage the guilt that they must certainly feel over A) having the power and influence, and B) not being a member of the victims du jour. (apologies to all french speakers) So Canada has become a nation with a national phobia about offering the slightest offence to any subsection of society. And so Canadians will spare no expense, even if it costs us our freedom and our lives, to make sure that they feel that they haven't offended anyone.
But please remember that we're not all that way.

I wrote above that Canada is an unpleasant place in which one can throw rocks at random in shopping malls and not fail to hit an anti-American. Aside from being true it's also hyperbolic, not meant to tar all Canadians as hysterical self-hating passive/aggressive emotional eunichs who come from the historical position of bending to authority for its own sake, of grovelling for belly-rubs and kicks by bullies, of "acting like the hysterical, screeching daughter of the town preacher," as (I believe) Canadians were summed up to be by a 19th century European diplomat. I do hate this place, but for all that I have friends here who make life worth living, friends who are so good that I'll never abandon this place so long as they choose to live here. I can't stand this place, and I leave it whenever I'm fed up, but my friends draw me back for the sake of being with them. If that's the case, then there must be many Canadians I haven't met yet who are perhaps almost as good as my friends.
I have argued here that most people believe what most people believe, and that if the general idea changes, then most people will follow the norm regardless of what it is. Most Canadians are anti-American not because they've sat down and considered the realities of history and the depths of philosphy that leads them to their conclusions but simply because they work all day and live their lives privately, having no time to think professionally, taking their ideas from those who do, ending up with anti-Americanism by default, taken on trust.
I keep writing here that if you truly wish to change the system and the nature of the struggle against Islam you have to talk to your neighbours. Canadians are individuals first, nationals sometime later. Most people, given some real evidence and clear reason, will at least settle your ideas in the backs of their minds, and those ideas will surface when it becomes the dominant strain in the public discrouse. Plant those seeds, wait for the light to shine on them, and in time we've have a new growth of ideas that will change the social texture of the West. Canadians aren't evil, nor is their nation. Canadians are mostly the most conformist people in the Western world. Give them an alternative authority to worship and they'll grovel before it like they do now before European dhimmitude. Talk to your neighbours, plant the seeds of doubt, and wait.
Frankly, I not but could have been shocked that no Canadians reacted angrily to my libels above. Please don't. I was more or less exagerating.

Son of Walker,
It was no exaggeration. I used to be a mouth-foamer way back in the day, and now I try not to be. Because anti-Americanism is so ingrained (we're taught it in Jr. high) it's hard to stop it over night, or even 4 yrs. I am now studying history to get a better grasp of things, including my former desire to kill every Jew in the world. :o
