The jihadist site Jihad Unspun points out that some of Muhammad's most celebrated battles took place during Ramadan, and exhorts Muslims to follow his example:
Combining fasting, the unique act of worship, with Jihad which is the Highest Intuition (Thurwat al-Sanam) of Islam, gave believing men and women of earlier generations an unbeatable combination that characterized Ramadan by battles of glory and victories over the unbelievers. At least eight major battles took place in Ramadan, some, such as the Battle of the Ditch, the Battle of Tabuk, and the Battle of Hittin, were more significant than others, and one, the Battle of Badr, was a turning point for Islam as a religion.

Jihad Unspun of course is a site run by Canadian Bev Giesbrecht, who goes by the moniker Khadija Abdul Qahaar. A few day's after the mass murder in New York, I vaguely recall seeing a photo of her, in full Muslim mufti, walking down a Vancouver street and holding a sign, "I'm a Muslim please don't kill me!" It ceases to amaze me the number of unhinged converts or 'reverts' to Islam are out there on the web.
A few days ago I was kicked off Yusef Smith's site(blogistan.co.uk) and told never to return after I had temerity to disagree with him. If memory serves I was shown the door for stating the obvious--Muhammad was bad for beheading the males of the Banu Qurayza, a Jewish Arab tribe, Yusef, I guess, didn't think so. I digress, but for other examples of Islamonuttiness visit brother Smith's site and choose some of the links titled 'brothers' or 'sisters'. Some of their writing is a bit ropey but its scary all the same.

Once again, the glorification of brigand and warmonger as the perfect man and his exhortations to go out and conquer and kill in the name of Allah is a caution for the West. Islam will not change; neither will Muslims. They will continue to pillage and kill, rape and maim, in the name of and for the glory of Allah and Muslims. Does the West have the will to do the obvious, what must be done for self-protection, for survival?

The only group that observes non-violence during Ramadan are the ever respectful and circumspect infidels. The U.S. has gone to great lengths to avoid responding militarily during the month of Ramadan (and to avoid damaging mosques during military actions at any time, even when those mosques are used to store munitions and when they are used as sniper lairs).
Instead, this should be seen as a good time for our military to eat a big juicy steak breakfast, and then go kill some fasting jihadists.

Oh, yawn ... wasn't it George Washington who won a great victory over the Hessians, at Trenton, by attacking in the dark of night, on a Christmas Eve?
Would that W were made of the same stuff as our founding fathers. ramadan Is good for nothing if not layin' a lickin' on our enemies.

It would indeed be a good time for anyone with some intestinal fortitude to tickle the muslems a little.
My experience in Saudi, was that during ramadan (capitals intentionally omitted )the wonderful creatures would not eat or drink all day( that you could see)but would whinge and whine and be as useless as can be . Then gourge for much of the night and sleep late. Perfect time for a little crusading.
