Iran: Never mind -- oh, and death to Israel

The Iranians are beginning to back off a bit. At least verbally. Sort of. "Iran 'withdraws' Israel threats," from the BBC, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

Iran says it has no intention to attack Israel despite a call by its president to have it "wiped off the map".

Iran's foreign ministry said Tehran respected the UN charter and had never used or threatened to use force.

But it also rejected a UN Security Council statement condemning President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over his remarks....

"The Security Council condemns the remarks about Israel attributed to Mr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran," said the statement agreed by all 15 members....

But in the same reaction on Saturday, Iran's foreign ministry said: "The declaration published by the Security Council - proposed by the Zionist regime to cover its crimes and give an image at odds with reality - is unacceptable."

It expressed surprise that the Council had never condemned threats made against Iran by the US and Israel or the "crimes" of the Israeli regime.

Ahead of the UN session demanded by Israel, President Ahmadinejad stood by his "just" remarks.

He attended the Jerusalem Day rally in Tehran which Iran organises every year to show solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.

Shouting "Death to Israel, death to the Zionists", the protesters dragged Israeli flags along the ground and set them on fire.

Mr Ahmadinejad said: "My words were the Iranian nation's words.

"Westerners are free to comment, but their reactions are invalid."

So sorry, Mahmoud. Henceforth I will check my comments with you to make sure they're valid.

Indian capital hit by explosion

An explosion has taken place in a crowded market in the heart of the Indian capital Delhi.
Police say the blast occurred in Paharganj, an area close to the main railway station which is frequented by Western budget travellers.

Rescue teams from the city's emergency services and police have rushed to the site and some casualties are feared.

The blast comes as many people were out shopping for last-minute purchases for Diwali, the festival of lights.

Mealy mouthed, back sliding liars and dissemblers.

The excuses, reinterpretations, explanations and taqiyyah.

More press coverage for these government whores.

Because the BBC is the source for this story, I would remain very skeptical that Iran withdrew anything. After all, any poll conducted of those employed by the BBC would no doubt reveal that the vast majority of them would support Iran in it's quest to "wipe Israel off the map". Among the actual BBC reporters, I would think Iran has near unanimity of support for it's genocidal quest to kill every single Israeli in the Middle East.

On a related issue, BBC correspondent and anti-Israel propagandist Orla Guerin is to leave her post as Middle East correspondent later this year.

Hmmmm . . .could it be that the Iranian protests were staged after all? . . .
Here is the link to the (english version)of "Free Thoughts". Look for Friday's (Oct 28th) entry directly under Omar Sharif's image.

Stefania jan, please say to the world that we the Iranians don't support the Mollahs and hate them! I have seen those fascists but, please believe, they were not more than 6 thousand!! We in Tehran more than 15 million and regime only brought in 6 thousand ! They were arab and pakistani and bassiji facists! The media is against the Iranian people ! Yes, the media in West are against Iranian people ! They support Mollah, Antarinejad etcetera

Bassiji, people you see burning Israeli flags, beaten up one friend of mine because she was wearing lipstick and her hairs not much covered! Why people in West and media say that Bassiji protesters are "Iranian people" and "students" ??? Please tell them to learn the Iran history first, and then they can write! They have to learn about Persia, about Cyrus and Dariush , who has freed Jews from Babylon's slavery and always protected! The media don't know that Israel President and Israel's Defense Minister are Iranian Jews?? They speak Persian also! They LOVE IRAN !!! They want Freedom for Iranian people !! Because they are also Iranian themselves!!

Don't believe media, pls. Those Islamo-fascists are aliens to Persian culture and tradition of peace and tolerance. Iranians always feel respect and admiration for Israel and Jews. Many Iranians are Jews. We love Jews and Israel!!!!!!!!!!! We don't like Palestinians !! You remember, who has invaded Persia ? The arabs! Who has invaded Iran in 1979 with Nazi Khomeini? Palestinians! You see, I don't hate arabs. Because I am Iranian and so I am tolerant, because it is part of my culture. But Mollahs hate Jews! Zendeh Bad (Long Live) Iran va Israel !

Dear, I don't need to repeat the same things. You already know about Iran. You ask me about the media in the West. All I can say is : F**k them all. Iranians will liberate their country from the Islamic monsters, the Mullahs. If media don't like it, they can go f**k themselves. This regime will be overthown very soon, my dear. The Mullahs will be thrown again in their mosques and they will not be allowed to go out from there again.

I don't get the anti-semitism thing.

Oh, I understand why Moslems are anti-semitic, because the Religion of War is largely based on hatred of Jews, which is a sad commentary that tells you all you need to know about those people.

But what's everybody else's excuse? We -- and the regrettable Moslems, ftm -- have greatly profited from the Jews' contribution to science, engineering, literature, the plastic arts, the performing arts, commerce, humor, medicine, and more.

True, I'm a little sore at the Jews for having invented Marixm, socialism, and communism, but that was some Jewish intellectuals run amok, a long time ago, and had no connection to Judaic scripture or church. Nobody's perfect.

So what's to complain about?

Here's an idea: The U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service should set up a program whereby we'll do an en masse exchange, taking in one Israeli Jew for every American Moslem we ship back to the Holy Land.

The IQ of America would go up, and the level of turmoil would go down (if we could get rid of most or all of them).

The latest is three explosions with some 33 dead, mostly women and children shopping for the holiday weekend.

What amazed me was the difficulty the CNN talking head, Colleen somebody I think, had in getting out the word 'terrorist'. What was she hoping for, Gas cannister explosion?

The question remaims why. Because the Israelis have been attacking Islamic Jihad in Gaza?

MJ: so rumor has it that Orla Guerin, that Minister for Propaganda for the PA and BBC reporter is leaving her post(in the PA?) soon.

No doubt she there hangs out with Robert Fisk .

What a disgusting shill for the Islamic Jihad.

Would this mean that she will not be sending out commentary from Gazastan - scenes filmed by Muslim cameramen which must include an ugly hand wringing jihabed mother in the background while vile Orla speaks in that low pitious voice of hers?

Maybe she could put out a video of her greatest mid east productions. What a parade of lies that would make !(Tony saw she got an award - order of the empire or such like - so if its back to London, she can hang out with puke Pinter of Nobel fame, and they can admire each other's awards).

Looking through archives, came across a comment about Islam and science. The comment agues that Islam not only supports but actually beneficial to the science.
I looked up the figures, suspecting that The Jews would be ahead the Muslims in receiving Nobel Prizes (forget about “piss prize”). I took into account percentage of population and came up with a ratio. Results were staggering. The Jews are ahead more then 500 (five hundred) times!!! Even the actual number is 54 times higher!!!
It seems Islam does make people stupid.

Death to Israel, death to Jews, death to America ect, they just say that stuff to whip up the crowd, they dont really mean it. It's Islams version of 'psycho drama'. Very 'psycho'. Now, just as an experiment, we should reverse the psycho with Jews, Americans, Freemasons, and certain members of Hod Carriers Union #36, calling for the total destruction of Iran.
If thirty thousand American Girl Scouts started demanding the erasing of Iran off the face of the Earth, something would be done.

Id Mubarak

The figures 70 now... funnily i'd been expecting this yesterday... those stupid Muslims must have misread the calender or something.

I'm presently at Haji Ali, Mumbai with my cousins for Diwali... This area has 80% Muslim population... You never know with Diwali on 1st they may be planning to thank India for sending $25 Million aid to Pakistan in big way!

BTW Robert why isnt this on JW. Probably since no goras died in the explosion this story doesnt merit coverage isnt it?

Pong, are you saying that there has been a Moslem scientist Nobel Prize winner?

If I read you right, the Jew-to-Moslem ratio would be 27,000:1.

That sounds low to me somehow.

OK. I see. The Security Council, which includes France and China, take their orders from the Zionists do they? And as for UN condemnation of Israel, Israel has been the target of 25% of its negative resolutions by the larger assembly, if not the S.C. I guess the members of the Islamic Regime have no need to use the opiates they happily see their citizens addicted to, to keep them passive. They are already naturally crazed.

Guess that Delhi blast will put a damper on Indian donations to the Pakistani earthquake victims. /sarc

This is the classic RoP: India donates millions to help poor Pakistanis devastated by an earthquake, and is rewarded by bomb blasts that kill dozens on one of its busiest holidays.

'Iran says it has no intention to attack Israel despite a call by its president to have it "wiped off the map". '

Of course not. That's not what muhammad's slave said. He said the PALESTINIANS would do the attacking.

The Iranians are going to stay home and cheer the Palestinians on to more suicides, more squalor, more misery. I think that's what muslims call 'brotherly love.'

A read of the news here

shows little backing off by anyone in Iran except the Foriegn Ministry.

Another example of what the Arabs say to the West is often completely different from what they say amongst themselves.

Unwise for us to assume there is a substantial opposing camp in Iran on the basis of these well intentioned or otherwise Iranian bloggers.
One can fall into the same problem of the Bush administration relying on Iraqi expats with their various axes to grind, agendas to promote.
It is foolhardy to rely on anyone calling themselves a Muslim, for Western advice - Rushdie, Socranie et al.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad > I say we "toast" this guy with a Smart Bomb and liberate Iran. I suspect that the Iranians (who are Persians and not Arabs) would be more grateful than Iraqis.

Yes, America has the moral high ground and keep in mind at how much the Russians are behind this with weapons and nuclear technology. The "Cold War" is NOT over! The "Mad Mullahs" illegally took over Iran. They have no legitamacy. FREE IRAN!

Seems a little brutal with the Smart Bomb idea, but rest assured that Iran will have to be dealth with sooner or later. They just launch two "spy" satelites. Will they use them to assist in targeting Israel with their newly developed long range missles?

The opinions of BBC reporters are irrelevant, actually all of this emphasis on reporters and reporting only empowers them, why empower them, makes no sense.

On point. I watch Iranian TV daily (English version of Irib2, English Translation of Al Alam) and according to Iranian news, they haven't backed off on a thing. Ayatollah Khameini (The Government of Iran alluded to) muted his words, but didn't deny them, in one voice he says one thing, next voice he rants about death to the Zionist State. However Ahmadinejad, didn't recount one word, he merely reaffirmed his previous statement, so much for the Iranian government backing off.

And by the way if you understand the Islamic mindset, they can't back off, once they set their foot down, they MUST set down the next foot..the only question remaining is when?

On another note, you misjudge Robert Fisk. I've read a lot of his articles and I've heard him speak. He tries (he must appear) to be even handed, or otherwise his life would not be worth a plugged nickle in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq or any Islamic country in which he works or reports from.

I heard him a couple of weeks after the assassination of Hariri in Lebanon, when all of the Arabs and Jew haters were calling the bombing of Hariri a MOSSAD operation, plain as day in clear words, he said it was
an operation staged by Syria and he named the names of the two top officials in Syrian intelligence that were responsible, and thus put his life on the line.

Fisk was against the invasion of Iraq, he knew what would result, and his fears were realized. Being against the invasion of Iraq does not make one an antisemite or antiIsraeli, and those who try to make us out as such or defend the invasion only give legitimacy to the Arabs and antisemites that we invaded because of Israel.

Posted by: Chaz MarteL 732

Why wait, I think that the way to save the west is to migrate all Israeli Jews to the U.S. that would provide a counterbalance and counterpoise to Muslim demographics and Saudi power.

The problem with America is not too many Jews but too few, and we could sure use the talents, dedication, education and intelligence of the IDF in our own armed forces.

Considering the state of the Nation, the Jews may be better off in Israel considering the future of Amerika as CAIR shows the way forward:

"CAIR does not support these groups publicly."
(Hooper comments on CAIR's record of supporting Hamas,
Hezbullah and other official terrorist groups)

"I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future...But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education." - Ibrahim Hooper

This article has it wrong. First, Ahmadinejad is recalling his ambassadors and has fired some of them over the matter. Second, he had approval from Ayatollah Khamenei for his speech. See http://www.iranfocus.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=4176
Lastly, the comment was not directed only at Israel but at the US.

@1630r:

Diwali is not only a Hindu but also a Sikh festival. I believe it is also celebrated by Jain,Buddhists and in some cases Muslims and Christians.

The Sikh movement is essentially dead. I believe those bombings in May were by Sikhs in protest of a "blamsphemous" movie as they termed it. Very few ppl know that Indian Army is 20% made up of Sikhs. I doesnt matter that few Sikhs in Canada and UK want Khalistan, Indian Sikhs have shown them and their movement the door.

Most ppl at LGF are ignorant about the history of Jihad throughout much of Africa and Asia. They continually demean all non-western cultures. Its just an American conservative blog. Most ppl often mirror Condi's views about Pakistan,Kashmir and Jehad. Charles only puts up those articles which involve attacks against western targets... Ofcourse he can put up anything that takes his fancy, but it tends to lead people into believeing WOT is some kinda East vs West, Whites against Darkies confrontation.

BTW Report I can post some articles from LGF where commentators display shocking ignorance about Islamic Jihad in Asia and slander non-western (& non-Islamic) cultures.

Posted by: Vikrant_Camberleykar [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 31, 2005 9:44 AM

Vikrant,

I typed "Kashmir" into the LGF search feature and found 7 posts in the past year by Charles Johnson which featured events in Kashmir, rather than the one you counted, in total. Many others were more tangential.

Your generalization is also ignorant in its broad mischaracterization of "most ppl".

However, you're correct that it is basically an American conservative blog. It is not only about the worldwide Jihad. The longest threads I remember there were about the Mel Gibson Passion movie. And they were quite heated. Often the threads about American politics attract more comments than other threads. Like most blogs, it has an "in-crowd", and also an assortment of trolls and Mobys.

If you don't like it, read other blogs, such as JW/DW, but please avoid foolish, gratuitous and insulting generalizations. I formerly commented there a moderate amount, but haven't commented much for around a year since registration was required. I understand why registration became necessary, but it still irks me.

Anyway, I hope your Diwali celebration goes well.
